    Episode 85 β€” Animal Lovers

Hilarious episode from start to end. Honestly up there with the Lennon/Jessica/Mantzoukas ep, the Walsh/Roberts/Husky ep and the other top notch ones. At no point did he say he 'loved' it, and he wasn't even really advocating it. He was just trying to explain his thoughts on it, and having seen a few videos he probably has the most experience in the subject. I've honestly had the same conversation maybe 2 times in my life, and I side more with Gemberling on the subject than the other comedians. 1. To clarify: I have never been, nor will I ever be involved in any such act. I'm not an advocate of legalizing it, and most people who do it are no doubt 'slightly off' in the head. 2. I think it's much more okay when an animal is the one doing the fucking. They are put in the position to do it sure, but they're the ones doing it. Fucking an animal is way worse, because like everyone said, "how can you really know they want it?" 3. But then think about a farmer having a full arm, up to the shoulder inserted into a cow to artificially impregnate it. There's no way your dick is bigger than a farmer's arm. Assuming the animal is over a certain size, you really won't bother it... Even though I still think it's the worst of the two options. 4. Snakes, eels, and all that weird shit in Japanese porn is wrong in my opinion. None of those things are actually a part of sex, interested in having sex with some person, or getting anything out of it (other than probably death). 5. Then there was Gemberling's point about, "Is it really any worse than making an animal work for humans all day?" Think about it, is sucking off an ox really worse than making it plow an entire field? Or worse than a pony getting humiliated and walking in a circle at a carnival or kids' birthday party? A blowjob vs. manual labor. Which would you take? I just went down a weird rabbit hole there...

Episode 223 β€” Roll Over, Seth Rogen

Seemed like there were a lot more ads than usual in this episode. I'm sure the movie will be funny, but I'm just not amped up about it. I hope it's good though.

    Episode 84 β€”Double or Nothing

I wasn't expecting a Cumberland Farms anecdote. They're all over the place in Maine, so much so that I forget they aren't nationwide. If anyone is curious, they have good slushies but everything else is as shitty as you'd expect from a gas station.

Episode 83 - Driving Yellow Jackets

I appreciate the dramatic reading of the Maron / MIB tweets. I heard about it, but didn't care enough to seek out and read them on my own. Based on everything of MIB I've seen and heard, I believe he was joking and knew Marc would take immediately take offense and come back at him... Then it turned into a mini-bit back and forth, and then it went back to Marc being mad. That WTF they did together was all about how Marc thinks MIB thinks he superior to Marc. I don't think there's any real bad blood, just dueling personalities. Plus, MIB pretty much destroyed him in those tweets.

Episode 221 β€” The Cake Council

Nah, I want John C. Reilly. His hair is like a rollercoaster!
  6. Maybe he's got an itch for the i4h spotlight and he's been malevolently scheming to get back on the show? Or he's just a prick.
  7. That Apocalypse Crush scene is an instant favorite. Seth Morris was on fire this episode. Glad Amy finally made it on the show!
  8. I'm glad that it was mentioned that Collins wasn't a terrible player. He's played more than DOUBLE the average career length of an NBA player. You can't do that and be bad at basketball. He was on the Celtics for the first half of this past season and he played well. I wish he got more time because they lacked an inside presence. He's a veteran who bangs inside, gets boards, takes charges, and doesn't make bonehead plays. He's definitely still valuable to a significant amount of teams. I'm surprised the response has been so positive to his announcement, and it will undoubtedly help future gay athletes and the gay community... But it's absurd what some people still think. I literally saw someone ask if Jason's twin brother was gay because they were twins. Holy fuck. Anyway, good episode as usual.
  9. Further proof of greatness. He can rock that in a commercial and people still like him!

Episode 217 β€” The WTF Hour

I bet it's that. Well, something like IFC put the idea out and Scott thought it would be a cool idea to out-Maron Maron. That turns the episode premise into a bit, lets Scott host differently, and gets the plug job done. I don't think it was maliciously done or anything, but a way to cross promote and hopefully bump up viewership a bit. Think about it though, the bonus eps that I remember off the top of my head were Kashian plugging her book and Garland plugging his new podcast on the network. Those plugs seemed to permeate the episode a lot more than just a plug section at the end.

Episode 145 β€” For The Halibut

Here's the Corddry/Martha Stewart video. The brush occurs around 5:15. http://www.marthastewart.com/315052/pollo-con-queso-tortas

Episode 217 β€” The WTF Hour

Oh cool, an episode of a podcast where Marc talks about himself for an hour! (Not sarcasm) It was a nice change of pace episode with a good 'would you rather' segment... Plus most of these bonus eps are plugging something specific anyway so I expected it. I heard Seth Morris is in Maron's show, which gives me another reason to check it out.

Episode 216 β€” Top of the Schaal To You!

I hope Michaela Watkins brings that character back. I really want to hear more info about Scott's psychological state. Also, this is the second Buford on CBB. Buford LeBaron of Suicide House, of course, was the first.

    Episode 78 β€” The A Crew

Really agree with Matt on the bombing rant. It makes me so mad when people co-opt other people's pain for vanity and attention. A girl I went to high school with ran in the marathon and got an entire front page about her in the local newspaper. Huge picture, huge article. She wasn't hurt or anywhere near the bombing, so couldn't that space be better suited for important news? I mean she ran it in a decent time, but not fast enough to warrant an article.

    Episode 215 β€” Time Bobby 2

Scott's future self (from the 3rd Anniversary episode, whom he met with the help of Cake Boss (cake boss)) proves to be EVEN MORE of a prick by not telling himself about his past self's impending murders of alternate universe Scotts.

    Episode 60 β€” Street Fighter

What word did I claim was an adjective that cannot be used as one? Regular, white and black are adjectives. You don't have to say, "This was wedding was regular, and this other wedding was also regular." That's just retarded. A wonky sounding sentence isn't racist, you guys are too sensitive. Claiming everything is racist isn't the way to stop racism. That just makes regular people overly cautious about every sentence they say. Oops I just said regular people. I guess I'm a bigot now because I implied that non-racists were regular. Sorry. Also, if nobody actually had a problem with Jason saying something, why the fuck are you guys bringing it up? Saying something is racist when you're not offended is crazy. I'm out of this convo.

    Episode 60 β€” Street Fighter

Totally disagree. He just used the adjective regular on one, and black on the other to set it apart. Plus, he seemed to realize what it sounded like and made a joke about finding certain weddings wrong. It was an innocent qualifier that sort of sounded odd. I literally just looked at the clip (in some foreign language because I do not have, nor will I pay for this) and you see 1 second of a white bride and groom touching each other, cut to; a black bride and groom taking their vows. Definitely not enough info to quickly distinguish them to a listening audience without mentioning race. There's really no other way to describe it other than a regular clip of a wedding. It's not overtly emotional, they're not kissing, there's no bouquet throw, nothing is really happening, especially not enough to brainwash a monster that this is good. If anything the movie is more racist because it had to show a black wedding and a white wedding. That implies they are fundamentally separate ideas that deserve their own time. All you needed was one wedding, fuck, make it an interracial one and save the stock footage... Then they threw in MLK's 'I have a dream' and immediately cut away to a dolphin. Come on, without context that phrase is meaningless. They put it their because it's a famous phrase that preaches tolerance and equality; yet only the audience, not Blanka, knows what that means without the rest of the speech.

    Episode 60 β€” Street Fighter

It was funny that Gemberling got stuck essentially defending the movie even though he didn't like it, purely because he knew the characters from the game. The Mortal Kombat movie was bad, but at least it stuck with the idea of a fighting tournament. Nah, he said, "It was a wedding, a black wedding. It was two weddings, first a regular wedding with white people, then a black wedding." The first part was just him listing the order and signifying the second wedding was different from the first. Then he said it was a regular wedding with a white bride and groom. Not regular because they're white people, but regular because it's a traditional wedding. Followed by a shot of a wedding with a black bride and groom. Not racist, he just said regular instead of traditional, conventional, etc.
  22. For another ask the UCB: I was wondering, would you (and whoever your guest will be) be willing to go into the process of writing for the UCB TV show? You talked about it some in the commentaries and what I remember was a lot of season 1 was adapted from stage sketches, but what was the writer's room like? How did you vet and bring in extra writers? What was the creative process like? I know you guys were also fond of Kent Alterman and I heard he came back to Comedy Central a couple of years ago, which magically coincides with a lot of new shows getting multiple seasons. Is there a correlation there? Comedy Central seemed to give up on shows really quickly for about 8 years, poor Stella... Any chance of season 3 coming out? Anyway, I'd love to hear anything about the show you'd be willing to talk about. Thanks.

Episode 212 β€” Comedy Bleep Bleep

Best episode since Andy Daly / Mantzoukas in 200. I'm glad someone finally addressed that this podcast sounds like 'crickets and silverfish hopping about'. Only 800 more silverfish jokes to go to catch up to MST3K!

Favorite Live Musical Performances on CBB

Most of the time I don't like the musical guests because it's an extra long break from the comedy (Not that there's anything wrong with them)... But I really liked Annie from St. Vincent's performances in the Anniversary episode and the Don't Stop Or We'll Die episode from last year.

    Episode 211 β€” April Fools!

Am I the only one who liked the pre-character segments in this episode more? Just straight ridiculous. Plus we got about 1 sentence of Fabrice Fabrice!
