    Episode 104 β€” A Hotel Tell

Those last couple scenes were perfect for Andy Daly's insanity. The music in the documentary clips really sucked. Blech.

    Episode 250 β€” Podcast Silence

Jesus Christ, so this is the new hate episode huh? I like how everybody just blames Pete Holmes for messing stuff up. Gabrus, Scott and Pete were just being wacky and having fun, that went a little far and Pam's character got the shaft a bit (not from Kyle or Pipe though). Big deal. That has happened in other episodes. Pete is just having fun and laughing with other comics. He's being who he is, loud laughing, bad impressions and half-bits being thrown around. Also to whomever that said You Made It Weird always comes back to Pete, who the heck else is a one on one interview supposed to go back to? He talks, the guest talks, he talks, the guest talks. It's a conversation. Lighten up people, the episode was funny.

    Episode 250 β€” Podcast Silence

I haven't listened yet, but I was listening to an I4H with Gabrus as a guest yesterday, and wondered when he'd be on CBB. Am I psychic? Possibly.
  4. I also need to mention that Best Worst Movie just depressed the shit out of me when I saw it. It's like everbody involved in Troll 2 is either completely insane or hiding who they are (clearly in the closet dad from the movie).

Episode 249 β€” Ice Cold STaB

I had the titular line in Out of Africa.

    Episode 248 β€” Todd's Life 2.0

I'm not a fan of his show, but this CBB and the You Made It Weird appearance made me like Eric Andre.
  7. I suggest watching the Rifftrax version of The Room. While The Room is hilariously inept, it can be a little tough to get through by yourself. So Rifftrax really helps out. Plus this is a great opportunity for me to post this The Room related video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx-Fc0iVF2A
  8. Ian Roberts is too fucking funny, especially when his characters get angry.

    Episode 102 β€” Satan's Face

Ohhhhh boy... Some light mockery at the milk drinking quirk is bullying now? Were you also offended by the Jonestown reference?

    Episode 102 β€” Satan's Face

Just like the last Mookie episode with the ranting guy, I knew he'd jump at that Juggalo character.

    Episode 101 β€” Coma Counting

I'll admit that when I heard the word bicycle, I "A to C'ed" to rollerblades too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwMPZmtpWIE This will be stuck in my head for a week, but it's worth it.

Yeah I'm pretty psyched for it. I wanted to go last time they came up to New England, but I think school got in the way or something. Just got the ticket situation fixed, and they're in my possession. I'm definitely going to go for a handshake if I can. The show I'm going to is actual a double feature, one riff at 7, then a different movie at 9:30.

Episode 245 β€” Poehler Ice Caps

It's either a joke, or he's under 15. How could you not remember the fashion travesty that was ghetto Looney Tunes?

    Mystery Science Theater 3000

Hence me buying tickets, and driving 3 hours for it. I got great seats too, dead center, like 8 rows from the stage.

For the love of God, Neil needs to record a rap album.

Their process for choosing the movies was basically: 1. There's a huge box of tapes. 2. Frank takes a ton of movies home. (Post-Frank it was interns that did this. They claimed it was mind numbing and horrible, but Frank loved it.) 3. He watches them and finds one that will work. 4. He brings it to a meeting on Monday with the full writing staff, they screen it and start riffing. So that happens, and they screen a movie about Appalachian hicks who marry underage girls. It was supposedly so vile, demented, and had such a 'real' vibe about it that it was shelved, never to be riffed. Trace or Frank mentions the story on one of the bonus features I believe. You can find the title of the movie on the imdb MST3K trivia section, but they don't even like to acknowledge it by name.

That's awesome. Yeah I heard about the Sidehacker thing before. Some guy on a site uploaded the un-MSTd version and I thought about grabbing it before. If you know the Sidehacker info, I'm assuming you guys have also heard of the illustrious 'only movie to be screened as a group, but then was immediately turned down'...

I've officially bought tickets to see Cinematic Titanic... But the theater never emailed the tickets. I guess I have to call up and deal with box office people today.

    Episode 72 β€” Toys

Holy fuck, I think I saw this as a kid and blocked it from my memory.
  21. Thanks for clarifying that comment about open mics and independent improv shows. Oh, and I'm definitely buying the Improv Manual. That should tide me over until I can actually attend classes at a UCB.
  22. I wouldn't describe myself as a luddite, although I definitely sound like it in that post. I'm a person who will always go by the maxim, "Is it really necessary?" So I adopt most technology late in the game because it saves money, glitches are worked out, and so many people use said item that it becomes a necessity. With the automated car in particular there is a fear of being out of control. Most people on the road are garbage, there's no doubt about that. They talk on phones, text, drink, drive while high on any number of drugs, are distracted by music, kids, passengers, or they're just morons... But I'd rather be responsible for my own actions, good or bad. Plus I enjoy driving. There are ways that it could be implemented that I'd be very interested in, especially for major metropolitan areas like you mentioned. It could alleviate traffic and poor drivers from the road, which is always going to be a positive change. I would just need much more information than is currently out there and I'd have to see it in action for years before feeling comfortable enough to invest, and I must retain the option of physically driving if I so choose. I don't want any part in a HAL 9000 situation.
  23. I don't trust digital gas gauges, car GPS, cell phones, etc. I'm sure as hell not giving up driving to be taken on a theme park ride by a computerized car. I'd rather white knuckle and hydroplane all day than renounce my earned right to drive.

    Mystery Science Theater 3000

That'd be awesome if they had a couple on as guests. I could definitely see Frank being game if he was in LA (I think he lives in NYC now). My current top 10 are probably: Time of the Apes Pod People Touch of Satan Final Sacrifice Hobgoblins Escape 2000 Laserblast Mitchell Riding With Death Warrior of the Lost World … But there's so many great ones I'd have a hard time doing a top 40. Yeah there was an MST3K movie, that just got a brand new blu-ray release last week. It ended up being a disappointment for a lot of fans and the people that worked on the show/movie due to studio issues and budget… I still enjoy it as much as the rest of the show though. That 25th anniversary box is well worth it if you're into the show and have some disposable income. That box will have 6 episodes for 60 bucks, whereas they usually have 4 episodes for 50 bucks. Mitchell is the standout of that box. They went so hard on Joe Don Baker in Mitchell that he actually wanted to kick their asses. By the way man, check out youtube. I'd say 95% of the episodes are uploaded there. Seasons 5-10 are only missing 5 episodes total (not sure about earlier seasons). I discovered the show way back when I was a kid, not sure exactly when though. I want to say just before they moved to the sci-fi channel. I remember waking up early on Saturday mornings and watching reruns of MST3K instead of cartoons. Every few years I'll go on a binge and watch a ton (which I've done for the last 2 months). That's so cool that you got to see Cinematic Titanic. I'm going to try and see them when they tour this fall because they claimed it will be their last, simply out of logistical reasons. It's unreal how much they put into the show. There's like 800-1000 jokes in every episode. The production values, inventiveness, and uniqueness is off the charts for having the small budget it had. Man, that host segment in Pod People nearly made me piss myself the first time I saw it and I'm not a huge laugher. Frank in that damn t-shirt and the weird record exec lady that appeared behind them for no real reason. "IT STINKS!" My all time favorite host segment is a tie between: - Pod People song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2f0nfrgaK4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsZPrK035ak
