  1. Hmm is it just me or does it seem shows centred around people plugging things has become the norm instead of the exception. Isn't that what the BBB BONUSSSSSSSASASASA episodes where for?

This is a great episode by the way.

If they were coming on just to promote Orphan Black, they would do it around when the new season's actually coming out. The actors are actually fans of CBB.

  2. I didn't read through all of the comments so I'm sorry if this was already brought up, but did anybody else catch Ho-Ho's "like Outkast!" about "alright alright alright alright"? Lapkus threw in some amazing lines throughout the episode, but that has to be my favorite and it seemed like it went unnoticed by the room.

Great line, Scott caught in like 15 seconds later but it was too late for the room.

  3. I'm not a huge hip hop fan right now, my interest has been waning in the last 5-10 years, but if I were a rapper/hiphop artist, I'd be furious with the fact that songs like this and Iggy Azalea are what represents the genres at the moment.

Completely agree, all these songs Howard likes have ironic value at best. There is really almost no good hiphop in the mainstream at all currently.

To be clear I wrote that comment before I heard the episode and although she did talk about it it wasn't as bad I was expecting. So yeah she didn't talk about so often this time. But she does overwhelmingly depend on it. I listen to PYHT, I watch PYHT live and I go to a lot of other stand up shows where she might perform so I stand by my critism. Listen to all her stand up material you can find online, go watch her live anytime you can. It gets tiring very fast.

Haven't listed to the episode yet, and I'm looking forward to enjoying it shortly, but having heard Esposito on myriad podcast appearances now I feel your criticism is mostly on point. The Doug Loves Movies episode she was on recently comes to mind especially, she really seemed to be shoehorning bits about being a lesbian in unnecessarily. Plenty of comics use their life experience for the bulk of their material, which often works great, but to my mind the best comics are able to roll with any topic and just be naturally funny independent of any "material." I think the idea that one cannot criticize comics for over-reliance on one topic is a bit ridiculous.
