  1. i watched Guns Girls and Gambling over the weekend. That movie really sucked! Not even HDTGM-worthy sucked. Dane Cook was actually one of the better parts of this movie. The thing that bothered me the most, was the Guy Ritchie-esque introduction (freeze frame of character, then their name subtitled with a PUNCH {BOOM}) to EVERY CHARACTER no matter how small their parts were. And this went on waaay to long into the movie. I think they were still introducing new characters within the last twenty minutes...Just ridiculous...

    Captain Ron (1992)

I love this movie! I wish Captain Ron was my drunk uncle!
  4. Fuck, Adam Sandler and his stupid group of idiots have been making some real turds within the last twenty years. Pretty much anything past Waterboy (hey, whatever it was funny for the time) just flat out sucked. His movies get progressively unfunny and unoriginal as the years go by. This gives me a chance to throw Miley Cyrus' name into this forum (since she's been all over the Earwolf boards). There was discussion of her change, how she's growing up and spiralling out of control. No longer catering to her Hannah Montana audiences; she's trying to show everyone that she's mature now and ready to surround herself with a different audience(i.e. sluttin' it up at the VMA's, all grinding on Alan Thicke's son, droppin that Molly). Sandler is the exact opposite. For every year he gets older, I swear his target audiences get younger, or at least his demographic is in a state of arrested deveolpment.
  5. Oh you mean the "Saved By the Bell" when Screech is paralyzed from the waist down because Zack guilt-tripped him into wrestling The Gooch? For some odd reason that scenario was the only way that Kelly would go to "the dance" with Zack. So, of course poor, weird, pervy little Screech does what his master commands... Sorry, listening to a lot of Go Bayside lately...
  6. Eh, both movie are just subtle remakes of Lucas. That was the first movie where miraculously the town (insert outcast, mentally disabled or developmentally challenged person) gets behind them in the last ten minutes of the movie after beating the shit out of them for the previous 90 mins. I'm sure there are bullshittingly inspirational movies before 1986; but this one came to mind first. I did love me some Lucas and Rudy (although Joe Montana once stated that the whole Rudy Rah Rah thing was WAAYY overblown). Havent seen radio, nor will I.

    Wanna buy a monkey?
  18. Nope. You are wrong good sir/ma'am. This movie is actually funny. Martin Short's comedic timing and insanity shines throughout. Add in Charles Grodin's descent into utter madness, you have yourself a weird, quirky , black comedy. If something is so bad it's bad, why would it remain watchable?
  19. I too want to amend my list and add Clifford for Men At Work.

    The Paperboy

I thought Kidman did a good job here. I think she's a decent actress when given something to work with. I feel like her role in The Paperboy was very reminescent of To Die For. A manipulative sex-pot sociopath. That may be her schtick. I thought she was also great in Stoker, Moulin Rouge and Dead Calm. And for the record, To Die For is my fave Van Sant movie. That probably shows how much I like his stuff. But, it was a decent satire about the media before satires about the media were commonplace.
  21. I already own that copy! Joe Bob is fuckin hilarious!

  23. Army of Darkness - I bet you could get Bruce Cambell as a guest. I met him a few years ago, he's cool as hell. This one falls under the category of So Freakin Awesome, HDTGM... Bad Luitenant: Port of Call- Nic Cage pretty much putting a bow on his package of nutso roles with this one. The crack-smoking quasi-rape scene is evidence enough that this movie should be dissected. Men at Work- What is it about the Sheen/Estevez Clan that beckons them to play garbage schleppers? Papa Sheen did in Badlands; and his youngins did it here. Maybe its was a forshadowed metaphor of Charlie Sheen's real-life persona. Like a manifest destiny. Anyway, this movie is cray-cray. Keith David is amazing as the stereotypical Vietnam Vet with a slight penchant for homo-erotic humiliation. Samurai Cop-Too cheaply made and not popular enough to be considered; but, shit if they did, it would be great! Anyone who hasn't seen this, at least watch the infamous clip of the nurse conversing with the Samurai Cop and his partner making the most comical facial expressions. Hard Target- Van Damme at the hight of his popularity. John Woo and his fucking Doves. Lance Henrikson. Wilford " DIA-BEETUS" Brimely. Man oh man. I hope they would consider this one.
