I watched this movie two times in a row, I was so amazed! I believe on the DVD extras they showed the real hobo that they created Hauer's character from. They had created a short film prior to this one with the original dude, but he went batshit crazy and when they wanted to make this a full-fledged movie, they reached out to fellow Canadien, Hauer. Love the Ricki (Trailer Park Boys) cameo in the beginning too!

As I accidentally posted in the minisode, I can't stress this enough: don't drag the great state of Oregon into this pile of shit!
-
As a citizen of Oregon, I am appalled that my state was even mentioned in this movie! This was just...the pits...as far as movies go!

Speaking of no relevance whatsoever...RIP MCA! I just had to say that somewhere; and since I don't do Facebook or twitter, this is my only social media outlet. Just had to throw out some respect! Sad weekend....

Korean Revenge-Horror flick! Fuckin' Bad-Ass! If you haven't seen this movie and want to see just over the top, ultra-violent, make-this-mofo-pay-fer'-killin-my woman, watch this fucking movie! You can't tell who is more CRAZY: the detective on the hunt, or the psychotic murderer on the run...I wish this movie could be talked about, because it is...INSANE! I just fear it wasn't widely known enough to be considered, but true horror lovers, see this movie!!!

Again, I was in no way implying this movie was bad. I was just recommending it the way Crank 2 and Punisher War Zone was. It is so unbelievably awesome, I thought it should have been considered for its sheer boss-ness!
-
Sillstaw, No way am I saying this is a bad movie; I just don't know where the "Fucking Bad-Ass!!" movie recommendation thread is. I just thought we clumped all movies good and bad in this area. Nope, this movie rocks and if it wasn't apparent with my first thread, I think it needs to be seen by all!

I can't tell if Dennis Quaid is a good actor or not; but this movie made him seem like a fucking idiot. Maybe he just nailed the role, and Jerry Lee Lewis was just a total dumbfuck?!? Either way, the movie was a complete train wreck. Not sure if it's HDTGM worthy, but still a worthy one to bring up.

It felt like they were trying to make a Lifetime Channel movie; with the whispy filter and horribly cheese-ball music. I honestly can't believe Gary Oldman and Peter Dinklage actually participated in this! Best WTF moment (in my opinion): David Allen Grier in a bad toupee, drilling that "little" hussy in the middle of the party, in a room encased in windows, for all to see! What an exhibitionist!

What's the downright WORST legitimate movie you have ever seen (aside from the home movies people send you)?

Episode 34 — The Adventures of Pluto Nash
neilly replied to admin's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Btw... I forgot to mention out of all the un-p.c. comments/moments of this show they failed to discuss the fact of the albino, crosseyed African American antagonist, Kelp (Victor Veranda). I mean, if your gonna make fun of black stereotypes and gay personas in movies past; you gotta talk about this talking Mon-ChiChi! In the words of the great Gob Bluth, "C'MON!" -
Episode 34 — The Adventures of Pluto Nash

I guess I was the only one who was entertained with this movie?!? I know, it was bad; but really, I swear they have recommended watching other movies that were WAAAY worse than this movie. I could be wrong, but I feel like they were much more positive towards Abduction; which was total SHIT! I guess to each his own is applicable here...Debunked?!? -
Pluto Nash was actually better than I expected. I think my expectations were at wad-of-thick-mucous-at-the-bottom-of-a-dirty-toilet-bowl level because of the crap-tastic Abduction. That movie had no redeeming quality whatsoever, unlike an 88 Minutes, or Birdemic (well, that one sucked big time too, but at least it knew it sucked). Anyway, yes, Pluto nash was not a good movie by any means; however, it was entertaining. It was like someone had an idea to rip off Total Recall, Superman 2 and I don't know...The Sting or some shit. But then, that person, got drunk and got their hands on good actors, put a gun to each of their heads and told them to go with it. Excuse me for my blathering, I was just surprised at how much more enjoyable this movie was compared to the last one.

This is the only JCVD movie that I will sit all the way through to watch that big Korean dude throw dust in our hero's eyes, only to still "tap out" in the end! I actually kinda love this movie!

The Happening - (it's never happening, but talk about it if you want)

I really think M. Night Shama-lama-ding-dong should have had his credentials revoked after Lady in The Water. Just utter crap! I have yet to watch any of his self-gratifying art for art's sake nonsense since. -
I feel like many of you out there are getting greedy! It's a freakin' FREE podcast. As echoed before: Dont like it, don't listen to it! I understand that the last podcast was kind of lame, and I didn't like the guest either; but for fuckssake, the aftermath on the forum board went from negative to downright hostile! If you think things have changed for the worse, stop listening. It's ultimately their show, they won't just cow down for the listeners; because, we all want different things from this podcast. That is evident with all of the varied griping that has been posted.

Oh Ween, why get involved with such an atrocity?

Holy shit, I had the album that Boogie in Your Butt was on! I loved that song!

Episode 31 — Birdemic: Shock and Terror LIVE!
neilly replied to admin's topic in How Did This Get Made?
There are so many many questions pertaining to this epic pile of crap; but I'll just pose this one: Why such long drawn out beginning and ending sequences? I just wanted the misery to go away, but instead they sat there on the beach and watched as the two-dimensional bird pinatas drifted off into the green screen. -
Just watched this movie and....wow! Where does one begin??? Do you start with the Beverly Hills Cop musical score rip-off? The awesome mullets? The radically insane cliche black side-kick? Did I mention the mullets? The 80's boobs? The horrifIcly choreographed fight scenes? The overdubbing? This beautifully captured piece of 80's cinema has it all and so much more! You guys have to talk about this one!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Wien; this movie was awful! I would love for it to be discussed though. Just to get a sense of what the fuck was everyone on while they made this. Plus, wasnt the original Rusty Griswold (Anthony Michael Hall) in this??? I never "got" Tom Green; I just thought his antics were completely idiotic. I don't know why, but I always equated his schtic with the morons from Jack-Ass.

I think it would be remiss not to mention this movie; for I believe that it was movies like The Toxic Avenger that paved the way for such classic over the top movies like the Crank series and Punisher: War Zone. I think it is the best example, as well as most popular of all the Troma insanity. This movie has it all: a hideously deformed superhero in a tutu, toxic waste drivers on PCP, psychotic teens that love nothing more than to play a points-based game of hit and run with unsuspecting children, it takes place in New Jersey....Oh, so much more.... Just a thought...
