I thought this movie was pretty bad. It felt like a shitty play that Corky St. Clair would have had his quirky little paw in.

This was definitely not a sequel to Twins. This was the third of an UNCONNECTED trilogy by Ivan Reitman ( the other two being Twins and Kindergarten Cop) that involved Arnold, but that is where any similarities end.

I thought this movie was funny for what it was.

I just assumed the connection Alan and Ella had was like the one Danny Torance had with Dick Hollaran in The Shining (hence the name Monkey Shines..) In that book, the two shared a telepathathic connection; but, that was where the similarity stopped. Dick didn't start taking on traits of Danny and visa versa, whereas in this fucking film, a monkey starts fulfilling her master's blood-rage and he grows monkey teeth.

Did anyone else think Alan's mom looked like Dave Foley in drag??

I liked this movie too. It wasn't perfect by any means, but I still thought it was quirky and I thought Mos Def and JB worked well together. I have a feeling although Green Hornet needs to be torn apart, it won't, since Dirty Randy likes to show up on The League every once in a while. Paranoia will destroya...
