Just want to agree with you guys, two people in this episode said "silly is the worst" or something close to that and I think that is really a weak stance to take, even on a subjective matter. That also seemed strange since this is being distributed through Earwolf which is undeniably silly. To say imagine is condescending and then say "the stones did cool drugs and the beatles did lame drugs" is equally condescending. I feel like Liana could have made a better argument by saying that the beatles later albums suffered from in-fighting, the fact that they were starting to focus on their solo careers instead of the beatles, and that people now are over-romanticizing the quality of the music because of who they were at the time. Good choice on opening and closing tracks. Interesting episode.

Mostly Scott and Nick, but a lot of the people who have posted that echo their disdain more so. I wasn't trying to be a jerk, everyone's taste is different, and the best part of this show is the premise. Harris trying to get someone to like something that they don't like is funny. I probably should have used the word repulsed instead of angry. It is however, a bit elitist to say I don't like this it must be bad or their fans must be dumb which seems to be what most anti-phish people are saying.

I think Besser and Zouks would both be great to have on at some point. They both have a lot of music knowledge and can argue with the best. I like phish, but I LOVE how angry and dismissive people can be when confronted with their music. Harris and his continued failure are amazing podcast material. Thank you Earwolf, musical elitism has never been more entertaining.

I'm with this. Not all jazz is good, but when it is good I think it's some of the best. Old school hip-hop did a lot for bringing jazz and funk to a new generation via sampling/looping phrases. You would think Howie could at least appreciate it even if he doesn't like it, then again it's funny to hear him ask dirt cup how to deal with jazz.
