  1. Whoa, Kurt is extremely ignorant regarding contraction of HIV. Yep, you contract HIV (not AIDS) and yes, you can't "inject a syndrome" and give it to someone. The chance of "contracting a syndrome" is 0 in 100, not 1 in 100. You should re-edit this episode and take that portion out. I know he is probably not a complete idiot, but he is extremely ignorant on the topic.

  2. Harris Wittels had it pegged in the first Farts and Pro when he said, "I have a feeling the message boards on this are really going to hurt my feelings."

Criticism of entertainment is perhaps the most useless thing a human being can do. If you don't like it, move along. No one owes you a damn thing. No one has to make entertainment to please you. If you aren't being entertained then make something yourself. Get the equipment and make the podcast you wish to hear. Some of us may like it and start listening. Later, someone will come on your forum and tell you how you are not doing it right. You will remember back to when you were them and appreciate the irony. It will still hurt. Don't rip a person down who tries to entertain you. It's just a silly, worthless, sad, pathetic thing to do. Period.

Don't tell me what to do.

  3. What is the point of complaining on the forum about a certain episode or bit not being 'as funny as before'?

It's supposed to be constructive criticism. Comedy Bang Bang is my favorite podcast on the planet, and I pee a little every Tuesday night because I know there's gonna be a new one. As Maria Bamford has said, "Comedy is subjective, it's an... an... an art form."

There are some of huge fans, we may be snarky or cunts or whatever, but the forum is not supposed to be a press release, it's a place to talk about the show.

That said, I don't think the critical comments are buried or ignored, they just don't add much fuel for discussion.

  4. Stop asking random guests about their beliefs, if you want serious answers about atheism, get a serious atheist.

I don't think the show is best served by serious answers. It's more interesting to hear personal opinions on the subject.

But I agree in part due to the fact that every guest seems to not know the definition of atheism or agnosticism. David tries, but he uses the popular social definitions instead. This is kind of frustrating, because it ends up sounding like The View or a Faux News Pogrom. I love to hear about guests beliefs, but minimally after several conversations that totally failed to use the correct definitions, it's time to snap to it, get it right, at least definitionally so y'all can then proceed to make it silly.

  5. Atheism: The lack of belief in a god. (Can be a positive belief there is no god)

Agnosticism: The belief that one cannot have knowledge of whether or not there is a god. The root gnosis means knowledge, therefore agnosis means not knowable.

Agnosticism is compatible with atheism and theism, it is not a "mid point" between the two. Belief is different from knowledge.
