I'm equally frustrated by the guests brought in to discuss controversial topics, as they are always either too polite or too inept to give David the rhetorical punch in the face he desperately needs. It reminds me of Case Closed segments on Improv4Humans, where outraged listeners call in to debate Besser and, within seconds, collapse into balls of mumbling capitulation. If listeners can't tell whether you're "playing devil's advocate" or "simply being an asshole", perhaps some self-evaluation is in order.
