    Episode 254.5 - Minisode 254.5

I know as much as you guys about the future of the forums, and I honestly don't think any higher-ups at Earwolf Midroll Scripps SiriusXM even know they exist. The exodus of shows from the network this year—Pistol Shrimps Radio, Superego, In Voorhees We Trust, Big Grande's Teachers Lounge, Off Book, Yo Is This Racist?, Culture Kings (probably), Hollywood Handbook—doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. For what it's worth, I created /r/MusicalMondays and /r/Unspooled on Reddit a while back. They're both currently private/vacant, but the glass is ready to be broken in case of emergency. (If any of you are Reddit users and want to be appointed moderators, I'd happily cede control.)
  2. With 3,000+ recommendations in this forum, it can be difficult to find conversations with your fellow movie lovers/haters. Before you post, here are some guidelines to make it easier for everyone. Search for existing threads before starting a new one. Search for the longest word in the movie title. Common short words are sometimes ignored by the search engine, so pick the longest/most unique word from the movie's title. Try searching via Google. For movies with multiple short words in the title, it's faster to use Google to search the forums. To find the movie The 6th Day, for example, try a custom Google query like: site:forum.earwolf.com "The 6th Day" If you're starting a new thread, make its title the movie name and release year only. Including extra words in the title will produce more unrelated search results, making it harder for others to find threads in the future. Keep it simple and use the format: Space Jam (1996) One movie per thread. The gang only reviews one movie per episode, so limit recommendations to one movie per thread. Feel free to create multiple threads! Don't link to unauthorized streaming copies of the movie. Paul usually points out where you can watch the next movie when it's announced on the minisode. Embedding trailers, clips, or film critique is acceptable (and encouraged!) but don't link to full movies.

Episode 369 - Will Hines, Our Election Friend

Dalton, you don't have to keep posting threads to this graveyard. July gave up years ago. Even Shannon doesn't come here anymore. It'll be our secret.
  4. Yes. I've notified the good people at Earwolf about the issue. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

    What happened to episodes 198-200?

Are you a Stitcher Premium subscriber? All episodes older than six months are moved behind the dreaded paywall and require a subscription. If I sign into my Stitcher Premium account and search for "comedy bang bang 198" (or 199 or 200) I get the desired episode.

    Episode 249.5 — Minisode 249.5

You may be thinking of Great Pretender, which Jason talks about in the last 20 minutes of the episode. It's on Netflix.
  7. The earliest Red Letter Media review is from April 2012; HDTGM debuted in December 2010.
  8. I didn't realize there was an updated list. Pinned that thread instead!
  9. I pinned it to the top of the HDTGM forum. @Cameron H.'s initial post has the full list.

    Plugs Not Drugs

I edited your post so the Soundcloud player appears, but you'll need to make the track downloadable.

What happened to 222 in Portland part of tour?

They have a large number of live shows in reserve. This week's episode is Swordfish, which was recorded live in Denver on August 25, 2018.

    Trailer Talk

Ignore Joe Manganiello giving off serious Tick-Tock Man vibes here and tell me if that's the actual Paul Scheer at 00:34?

Episode 241: Ninja III: The Domination

    Cottage cheese.

    Blade Runner

Griffin Newman (of The Tick and the great movie podcast Blank Check) started something of a movement among actors who have played cops and, in doing so, helped normalized cop-as-hero narratives. It's heartening to see them contribute to the cause. 100%, which is why I also love Blade Runner 2049. To me, the slow sequences that Amy called out are gorgeous and meditative.

    Episode 74 - Rob Lowe

You can find them if you search Twitter and/or Instagram for the hashtag #lilsleepinguy. Be aware, however, that there are some things that you can never unsee.
  18. Episodes older than six months are only available on Stitcher Premium. If you sign up at stitcher.com/premium using the promo code IMPROV, you'll get a month free.

    Episode 239 - Cool World

I think it's because you have the Grammarly browser extension installed, which has a habit of doing bad things to forum formatting. I fixed your post from earlier.

Are there only premium podcasts now?

Click the Share (arrow) button in the upper right corner of the player embedded on the episode page. There should be a download option in the menu. If you don't see those buttons, try using a different browser or temporarily disabling your ad blocker.

    Episode 236.5 — Prequel to Episode 237

Weird, the "Share" menu is completely missing for me in Firefox but shows up in other browsers. I corrected my earlier post.

    Episode 236.5 — Prequel to Episode 237

The "Download" links have been broken since Earwolf switched to Omny for hosting, which provides no way of downloading files via their player or web site UI. Your best bet is to use something like Player.fm, which has a hidden "Download/Open" option under the "…" menu. Or you could subscribe to the RSS feed in a normal RSS reader like Feedly. Correction: Something about my Firefox config prevents the "Share" menu from showing up in the embedded player, but there's a "Download" option there in Safari and Chrome.
  24. 12 Monkeys. 28 Days Later (I haven't seen 28 Weeks Later.) The recent Planet of The Apes prequels technically count and are decent.
