    Tank Girl (1995)

I don't think it's so much a British sensibility that doesn't translate as it's just a thing that's very much tailored to the medium it was created in. There's so much going on in any given page, shitload of text, and there are jokes that only really work on a page, each issue is not so much a linear ongoing narrative as it is just like random short stories and vignettes that don't always wrap up or explain everything and there are prologues and non sequiturs and all types of random shit. It's a comic's comic.I think all the charm of it is lost when you try to extrapolate that to a 3 act live action movie script.

    Snakes on a Plane

I can understand that, because despite the absurd premise I don't think it's that much worse than most mediocre action/thriller type films. Like it's at the very least watchable. I also feel like a lot of reviewers probably wanted to be "in on it", so they didn't want to trash a movie that was already kinda making fun of itself. Low hanging fruit.

    Tank Girl (1995)

Jamie Hewlett is amazing, Definitely one of the people I strive to be as good as, as an artist. This movie definitely doesn't capture the comic, and like cat&beard said I don't think it could really be done. Tank Girl is a good example of comics being their own thing, I could rant for days about comic book adaptations and how I feel it's affected the medium, but maybe that's too esoteric of a discussion. Definitely down for them to discuss this movie. It would be amazing if they got Paul F Tompkins back on the show, or somehow the actual Ice T.

    Episode 235 — Concert Buddies

I love that PFT is a comedian that doesn't use curse words often, because when he does it's motherfucking hilarious.

    Snakes on a Plane

I remember being really excited for this movie and then finally seeing it and for the first time being kinda disappointed that a movie wasn't worse than it was. I liked the idea of the movie more than I liked the actual movie.

    Warriors of Virtue (1997)

I thought I was the only one who remembered this weird ass movie.

    Only God Forgives????

Hannibal Burress' rant about Lars and the Real Girl on Doug Loves Movies is pretty hilarious.

    Freaked (1993)

Yeah I remember this from growing up and have been trying to find it for the longest time but I thought it was called "Freaks" instead of "Freaked". I remember liking it, but then again I was young and liked pretty much anything with creature effects and stuff like that. Definitely going to watch it again and see how I feel abut it as an adult.

According to Deadline Hollywood a xXx sequel with Vin Diesel is in the works.

    FDR: American Badass! (2012)

I feel like that question answers itself.

    Balls of Fury

Why leave my house to go to WalMart to maybe find a dvd when there is Amazon? For the record though I think a lot of good stuff ends up in the $5 bin at WalMart though, that is no gauge of the quality of a movie imo.

What guest do you want to see?

Eventhough the show is called COMEDY bang bang, I think it would be cool to have some people that are not strictly from comedy but are still funny charismatic people on the show. A few suggestions... Robert Kirkman (creator of The Walking Dead, writer of various comics). Scott Aukerman is obviously a big comic book nerd, so I think it would be cool to actually get someone from the world of comic books on the podcast, and I think Kirkman would be great, I've heard him in many podcasts and interviews and he's a funny guy and a good sport, and naturally yes ands jokes (check out any interview he's done on Nerdist with Chris Hardwick). Joss Whedon (Avengers, Firefly, Buffy, etc) That would be a good get I think. Funny witty intelligent guy helming one of the biggest franchises to ever exist. They could talk Avengers and Scott could show off his Marvel nerd cred. Pendelton Ward (creator of Adventure Time) Ward is just a really silly fun guy who doesn't take himself seriously, and I'm guessing the majority of CBB fans probably watch Adventure Time. He might be interesting to have on the podcast. Just a thought. If there's any worry that they might now be funny enough, just match them up with CBB MVP PFT co-hosting as one of his characters to make sure it's a hilarious episode no matter what. Mull it over Aukerman!

    Character Drawings

I didn't draw this, it's from artist Johnny Rocwell from an upcoming D&D inspired Image comic called Rat Queens (that looks like it will be pretty cool), but when I saw it I immediately thought of Mildred. http://comicsalliance.com/wiebe-and-upchurchs-rat-queens-puts-a-modern-spin-on-dungeon-crawling-adventure-preview/

Episode 234 — Changing The Bandage

Love it! Righteous indignation over trivial perceived slights are always fun to read! We should all take a moment to appreciate how good we have it to live in a time and place where it is possible for someone to not only complain but sound so irate and bitter about the fact that the free podcast that they chose to listen to has a few minutes of advertisements in them. That's where we're at in society, and that's a beautiful thing. We live in a golden age!

    Balls of Fury

I might go ahead and get this on dvd, it's gotta be super cheap on Amazon. I feel like every year there's 1 or 2 weird comedies that do terribly both commercially and critically but I really enjoy them.

    Deadly Prey (1987)

The big mystery for me is WHY was he greased up before he was set free? Why was that a thing that needed to be done to hunt this guy? Who's job was it to grease up an unconscious Mike Danton? Was a person designated? Did someone volunteer? Was it it a rock paper scissors situation? The guy they hunt in the beginning is fully clothed, why did they suddenly decide that the way to kick this up a notch is to strip their next victim half naked? If their objective is to train to be a mercenary team for real life situations, why does hunting a greased up guy in short shorts sharpen their skills? What the fuck kind of missions is this equipping them to carry out?

Episode 234 — Changing The Bandage

That was one of my favorite Comedy Bang Bang endings ever. And Bob Ducca's lists were amazing. I really hope that now Hader's in LA he comes on the show and does some characters from time to time, the way he practically did a perfect Bob Ducca so quickly was amazing.

    Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3

Would I have to watch the first 2 movies to understand this one? I don't want to come in at the end of a trilogy and not know what's going on.

    Deadly Prey (1987)

I guess because he'd been around in cinema for a while and technically was the biggest "name" in the film. The dad and the wife are grade A dummies in this film. Her husband gets kidnapped and instead of calling the cops she figures she's just going to call her old ass dad and let him handle this because he's an ex-cop or whatever, and he also decides it'd be better fo not get police involved. This is a job for the police, not one solitary senior citizen! Also, if you know the bad guys know where you live, maybe don't stay home alone.

I liked this movie and laughed a bunch. *shrug*

    Only God Forgives????

I feel like people have formed this opinion of Ryan Gosling based on like maybe one or two performances. But if you look at his whole career I think he's showed plenty of range. I think they were going for a specific thing in Drive, and he nailed it. I don't think an actor has to be super emotive in any given role, because people in life aren't always super emotive either. I mean yeah, he has kind of a funny voice, but what can he do about that? Haha.

    X-Men 3

I honestly don't know what you mean. But I haven't seen the film in a couple years.

    X-Men 3

I also felt like this movie wasn't as horrible as people made it out to be. It definitely had major flaws, but there was a bunch of stuff I liked too. I don't have a problem with how Jean or Xavier were handled. I do dislike how they mishandled Cyclops' character in all of the movies and then killed him, I'm a big fan of Cyclops. As a nerd I have problems with the whole X-Men franchise in general, I think they could've made much cooler movies if they were more reverent to the source material, but I don't think the 3rd one was that much worse than the other 2, personally.

Episode 34 — The Dark Planet

For some reason the hall of paintings was creeping me out more than all the dead bodies. This is the most nervous I've felt for the gang since they were fighting in that water dimension.

    Temptation - Tyler Perry

Exactly, Tyler Perry pretty much has a whole demographic primarily to himself, and he knows how to play to that demographic.
