  1. I've been working on a series of these for a while and thought I'd show the first one. My skillset is geared more towards design then illustration, but I'm pretty happy with this. More to come (original characters first)

I've never played D&D, but this show makes me want to give it a shot.

Hope you do more! Pretty brilliant!

  2. A buddy of mine worked on Crossroads. He also commented on the lack of Britney singing in the movie. He does post-production and visual effects work. (He's also worked on good movies but this was a between-jobs job)

Not sure if there's a point to this but I remember my buddy telling me it was his job to check for nipples during post. He was in charge of erasing/obscuring any hard nipples or nudie-bits. Evidently there were a number of wardrobe malfunctions during the shooting of Crossroads. Might have improved the ratings if they left them in there?

Oh... one of his first mainstream gigs was being in charge of bubble-butt reductions for Jennifer Lopez in The Cell.

Virtual plastic surgery is a big part of movie making. I guess all the actual plastic surgery isn't enough.

  3. Yea!!! Ninkasi! Representing my childhood hometown. Believer is a good Double Red. Mmmmmm... ... Time for a 9am beer.

Ninkasi us Gooood! But Oakshire (just down the street) is Grrrrreat! Unfortunately they don't have a D&D-themed-beer... yet. Maybe Glenishmore Gose?

  4. This show is just awful, the narrator/DM guy is barely able to form sentences and the ones he does manage to form are entirely devoid of anything worth hearing. Basically I am very angry about clicking on this internet audio file and hearing sounds that I dislike!!!

I think you should probably listen to something else. Just my $0.02. :D

  5. C'mon... what woman wouldn't be sexually attracted to a toddler-sized-duck?

(Even when I was 13 I was kinda disgusted by the whole implication that Lea Thompson was about to get it on with Howard at the end of the movie... at least that's how I remember it?)

  6. Every movie had more and more key characters... it started getting a little rediculous even before #4 (imho)

    Batman:

    Batman, Joker

    Batman Returns:

    Batman, Catwoman, The Penguin

    Batman Forever:

Batman, Two-Face, Riddler, Robin (reaching critical mass)

    Batman & Robin:

Batman, Mr. Freeze, Robin, Poision Ivy, Batgirl (ka-blooey!!)

  7. So let me see if I've got this straight. Cosby wrote it and produced it but "denounced and disowned it weeks before it's release" according to Wikipedia. Cosby actually panned his movie before it's release and told people not to go see it. He also laid blame on the director. Way to Priceless! The result... it lost close to $19m at the box office. The movie earned a nomination in the Worst "Comedy" of Our First 25 Years category.

I remember this movie. I was a dumb kid who actually liked movies like Red Heat, Cobra, and Breakin II: Electric Boogaloo (hey... lookie there... a few more movies to consider for the show) and I was ready to turn this movie off after the first 10 minutes.

I recall hearing, somewhere, that Cosby came up with the idea for this movie when he was a kid. I think this is a good example of what can go wrong when super-celeb's are cut loose and allowed to over-indulge.

If you haven't seen it yet... Enjoy!

    Siskel & Ebert:

(odd video problems... but the audio is what counts)

    IMDB:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093405/

    Wikipedia:

    Trailer:

Cosby did get to ride an Ostrich... so it wasn't a total loss?
