  1. I don't mind the music, althought it's not my cup of tea.

It's just that the songs, according to the explanations the artists give, are always so lacking in anything motivating for a scene.

Maybe I'm just feeling this due to the last episode where this problem came up the most, but these post-punk singers just whine and whine about girls and people and the simplest of emotions and give nothing crazy to work from.

I'm NOT a fan of Mastodon, but just as an example, imagine them comming on and explaining one of their insane songs and the images it would build.

I guess in a nutshell these singers Besser goes for just have bad lyrics and girlfriend/friend songs all the time.

Acoustic indie post-punk songs don't go with improv.

(I know I don't know what those genre labels I used mean)

    Don't hate me.

  2. C.H.U.D.

    1984 horror movie

Cannibalistic Humonoid Underground Dwellers terrorize downtown Manhattan, kind of near Soho usually.

    Now on NETFLIX!

Wow, always remembered seeing this cover in the video store when I was like 12, but somehow knowing it was too crappy to ever choose to rent.

    Terrible sound effects, insane characters.

Skinny wet bandit from Home Alone helps the homeless and hates the government.

John Goodman as a cop gets exploded-eaten.

  3. This movie was almost too boring to even recommend, which is saying something because it's supposed to be about Edgar Allen Poe investigating murders recreated in the image of his stories. BUT ALAS IT IS TOO BORING.

    Every actor is sleepwalking.

Everything the killer does is impossible and not believable.

Ending was very mediocre and unoriginal.

BUT BARD IS IN IT!...sleepwalking tho

  4. Francis Ford Coppola's, yes that's right THE Coppola, most recent movie!

Shot like a film student's first project in freshman year, Coppola said he was inspired by a dream.

Lumpy Val Kilmer plays a poor man's Stephen King who is on a book tour for his new Witchcraft novel.

But the town he stops in is more than it seems...or not really...maybe!? Edgar Allen Poe and an insane Sheriff help Val solve a mystery from a long time ago but also solve some modern ones too? Vampires? Ghosts? Devil living in a belltower?

EDGAR ALLEN POE! VAL KILMER DOING A GAY BLACK MAN IMPRESSION! AHHHH!

It didn't get a wide release unfortunatly, so it might not be prime HDTGM material...but it's on Netflix now, so watch it! and LOVE IT!

  5. 1991.

Murderous New Jersey hick family but with like a Addams Family house.

Weirdest, worst movie ever. Chevy Chase, Dan Akyroyd, Demi Moore, John Candy.

Completely doesn't know what kind of movie it wants to be.

It's like the Hills Have Eyes meets Vacation meets the Goonies.

Digital Underground/Tupac has a musical numbers for no reason and it's just insane and it scared me when I was it as a kid.
