"No miss, I don't want to buy this Nautica shirt, I want to know about the whole operation". Gil and GstG were on FIRE.

EPISODE 33 - TV News Control Room
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
"I'm gonna DET da news". This was a fantastic episode through and through. Baby Erinn, Paul Scheer REFUSING to be the silent guest while the improv happens and taking LEAD roles throughout? It was just crazy. Thank you! -
EPISODE 30 - Vent Haven Ventriloquist Museum
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
OMG - the Donald Sutherland ventriloquist dummy. That was the moment I stopped breathing for a minute. -
EPISODE 30 - Vent Haven Ventriloquist Museum
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I just had to chime in - I was literally in tears on a crowded airplane from this podcast - it's sheer genius. Maria's kickoff was just so brilliant, and Marcevan and Paul's skeptical museum goers... just so great. Thank you for a great show! -
EPISODE 6 - Eugene Cordero - Spotlight On: Dustin βDustyβ Magaway
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Womp It Up!
Mine too - I was SO glad he did his patented "Partial Backup" thing on this episode. I almost drove off the road. -
EPISODE 30 - Brendon Small: Film Chat with Adalwolf Ditmar
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Oh man, the accent was so beautifully fluid. He full on started as Victor, then morphed between German, Swedish, English, Australian, and he'd take a breath and switch accents again... so fun. -
Wow - just watched this last night in preparation. I can't wait to hear our hosts try to unpack this one. It was a spectacular mess!

EPISODE 22 β Joe Wengert: The California Supreme WinShow
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
CBB 182 "repeat your keyword" was my intro to both Lauren and Joe: His "Your name is Zazzu" has been my mantra. So great to have them together for a full hour - I'm only 15 min in, and it's amazing so far. -
EPISODE 1 - A Denny's Parking Lot
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Loved this podcast! Brett wrote: "None of the above. I set up tablets that all the improvisers can reach, with three big buttons on them. So any of the improvisers can trigger the sound effects at any time." I can well imagine someone accidentally swapping over to Mad Decent and hitting that party horn.... let's be careful, people! ;-D -
EPISODE 216 β Being Your Own Parent
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Affirmation Nation with Bob Ducca
"There's just something so tactile about things you can touch". This is why Ducca is a genius. -
Episode 7 β It's Not Just Magic with Rick Glassman
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
I just loved how it veered into complete nonsense with the Men vs Women talk - it was inspired lunacy, and I stopped thinking of it as any kind of commentary on gamers, but a window into an alternate universe. Great episode! -
Episode 3 β Movers and Schaffer with Nip Schaffer
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
I loved the EXTENDED apology sequence after that rash takedown. I REALLY hope Pat Sajak didn't take offense. It was all in good fun. -
Episode 3 β Movers and Schaffer with Nip Schaffer
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Oh man, all three episodes have been wonderful, but this one... Nip Schaeffer was just such a perfectly bland and accommodating host, it was just such an in-character experience... I was just captivated by the conversation. Mizz Lapkus is doing amazing work. -
Indeed - the sound quality was MUCH better. Thank you!
-
I absolutely loved this episode - the way they ganged up on Wain THRICE in the episode was just priceless. Topics is my JAM.

Episode 004 β The Travel Bug with August Lindt
JimB-Reay replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
This one is a solid DOUBLE listen - so brilliant. For me, the biggest surprise is Herr Dulmann's arrival, sounding exactly like Burgermeister Meisterburger from Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Also, the discussion of Grizzly Man was simply amazing... Besser's Pope is really growing on me, too. He's like the Honey Badger Pope now - he don't give a f**k. -
These episodes may put me into a PFT diabetic shock, but it is filling the hole that he left by not making more Pod F Tompcasts (at least none that he's deigned to SHARE with us) His Ice-T in Portland was ON FIRE: when he dropped the term "Verisimilitude" relating to the stripper-cake and a giant cake dome, I almost died.

Honestly, it's more about Sanz coming up with these convoluted backstories that he simply doesn't even try to keep consistent - and Scott (and Tim) bemusedly pushing him into corners, and him weaseling back out. I was in tears by "Beef Done/Over/Finished/Completed"
-
This episode convinced me to go ahead and buy the CBB Tour Extrasodes - just knowing there's some Sanz on there. His scattered characters that Scott keeps trying to catch out are just great.

My god, I love a Werner Herzog episode. After a Werner episode, I have his voice in my head for days, making very serious commentary. Ch-riss plays very nice Ch-aracters.

Episode 50 β Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt 2
JimB-Reay replied to admin's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Jason referring to Renesmee and Jacob "Stone Cold Bone-Zoning" has made my week. I do love it when the gang gets confused and argues about plot points - it truly does bring that whole "hanging with your friends" vibe. June was missed, alas, but the BoneZone Gang did a fine job. -
I always love Tim's appearances, but for me, the moment I almost drove off the road from laughter was: "Bobby"... "Ok deep breath... replace the b. Replace the o. replace the bs. replace the y... ok.... "YOUR NAME IS ZAZZU". In fact the whole mental tricks thing was just great - having tried a few of those "systems" in the past, they always seemed to be so much more complex than just... well... remembering. Thanks for the double down!

Ok - I listened to the podcast without seeing the movie or trailer, and the whole time I had Gary COLEMAN in mind as the star, not OLDMAN, which made the whole plot about the brother being worried his kids would be little people seem ridiculous.
