    Hard Target (1993)

I would like to see this back at the top because I am re-watching it... and it is amazeballs! Some of the best JCVD one liners. Wilford Brimley doing a cajun accent. Ultimate mullet! Yancy Butler's very distracting eyebrows. Lance Henriksen and Arnold Vosloo are the bad guys. All this and some crazy - and I mean CRAZY - action scenes. This is a must for the show!

    Deep Blue Sea

LL Cool J. Thomas Jane. Sam Jackson. ANd super intelligent sharks. How could this NOT get made? Great suggestion!
  3. Shouldn't that be the first place the police look?

    Tank Girl (1995)

I saw this one in theatres with a bunch of friends. We absolutely loved it! A big part of that was the fact that we all loved Lori Petty so much at the time. Not to mention the comic, which as others have noted, was pretty amazing. Yes, it was big and dumb. And we didn't care at all!

    Iron Sky (2012)

I would re-watch this one for HDTGM. It was stupid, sure. But I was surprised at the level of the special effects. Better than it should have been.

    Does this look infected?

    Snakes on a Plane

You nailed it exactly. The marketing leading up was AMAZING! I had friends send me the "Samuel Jackson voice mail" and used the thing myself. Brilliant. But the movie? Just...was. It was almost like they treated everything in a fairly "real" way as opposed to just embracing teh stupidity of the premise and going all out. I bet if they had more people who were really good at improv as opposed to a script, it would have gone off the rails the way you wanted it to.

    Phantoms

Ah, Phantoms! It felt like they managed to sign all the actors they wanted then realized afterward they paid everyone, they didn't have that much left for the movie. Another one of those ones I sometimes feel compelled to re-watch from time to time. I blame that on the lovely Rose McGowan though. And Liev who always just strikes me as one of the coolest actors working, regardless of role or movie.

YA GOTTA PLUG (CBB Plug Theme Submission)

How did you get the Edge to play on your plugs song? Sounds great!

    Bio-Dome (1996)

Bio-Dome was a staple in what my late friend, Dan created: Paulyfest. There was a time when it seemed like Pauly Shore was coming out with a new movie every year. Dan, myself and our pal Gord would go see the movie in theatres, then go to Dan's and watch at least two others on VHS (yes, VHS, kids). We laughed and mocked the movies, and always had a great time. So Bio Dome was part of that, as bad as it was.

    Balls of Fury

I tried a search and this one didn't come up. High concept comedy. Lots of talented and funny folks involved. Ben Garant (hilarious and taleneted) directed and co-wrote with Thomas Lennon. Christopher Walken alone should elevate this one to a different level. But nothing lands. It's flat as the ping pong tables the movie is built around. Tragic because you can see how it sounded hilarious on paper. But I don't remember laughing once. High concept comedy is tough to do.

I was waiting for someone to do that! Nice!

I wasn't passing judgement of the $5 bin. Eventually, event the greatest movies seem to make their way there.

    Episode 235 — Concert Buddies

BTW: Goldeneye was THE best possible waste of time ever! My roommates and I had insane tournaments which were only interrupted by intermittent work and school duties. Stupid, stupid work and school.

    Episode 235 — Concert Buddies

    Quote of the show!
  17. After that, let's listen to some other Rolling Stones songs. But none of their new stuff, okay?

    Balls of Fury

I think it's kicking around the $5 bin in Wal-Mart these days. If that helps!

    Identity

I have to say, I really enjoyed this movie. But I'm a sucker for a road-trip-gone-wrong or isolated-hotel type of movies so this one was right up my alley. Plus I really liked the cast and the twist. I need to watch this one again - it's been a while. But it's part of my collection at home so that's easy to remedy!

    X-Men 3

I agree with you re; disappointment versus outright awfulness. X3 had some good moments in it. But, for me, it seemed like one of those cases where they were trying to cram in WAY too many characters and threads. For a while, that seemed to be part of the Hollywood super sequel: just keep adding characters. Iron Man 3 suffered the same fate.

    Episode 67.5 — Minisode 67.5

I think that was actually what helped end the Cold war; Russia got really nervous that the U.S, was going to send Stallone over to get things done.

    Balls of Fury

I appreciate there are those who like it. I just felt like it really misfired. (Though I do now recall laughing when Daytona asked if he had to swat flies only to be told, "No. bees." But I'm a fan of bee movies. (Boo at myself for that one!)

No - but thanks for the recommendation! I'm gonna look it up!
