that fact is why I think he's such an endearing guest and often one of the best, not only are his characters fucking top notch (fagen platt anyone?) but it's so clear that he's utterly delighted to be there, it's the same way if you hear him talk about how much of an obsessive snl fan he was before he was on the show, he's like the living embodiment of a dream come true.

I could listen to an entire CBB made up of Little Shop of Horrors singalongs.

this was the exact comparison i had in my head too, i think adam scott has a much more dry, low key energy that plays off scott's big enthusiastic persona a lot better, ben brings so much manic energy tp the mix he needs someone more low energy to balance it out, i think thats why the episodes with him against PFT doing werner herzog or him with reggie watts all work so well

haha i hear ya, sorry you got ganged up on a bit, i think some of us regular forum readers/posters a kinda sensitive to trolls (or perceived trolls), they pop up a lot, and most don't bother to follow up and make their points like you did (i don't think you're a troll for the record). maybe we're all a little over protective of these silly things we love.

I think this is exactly why there's an issue. you see the forum as that, but I think that a lot of us, I know i do, see the forums as a community of fans that want to get together and talk about something they love and enjoy, that includes discussions and disagreements and shit but you're offering nothing with your post. maybe you should just tweet at scott, it's probably more likely he'll see it

I'm with you on this, but the thing that bugs me the most about all the negative posts is that most of them arn't criticism. they make no points at all, everyone just boils down to "didn't like it!". and that's just useless and negative for no reason, I'll happily out myself as one of the people who didn't really like this episode either, so i can understand the feeling, but what's the point of just coming here to shit on it without offering any kind of reasoning or argument. It's pretty telling that more often than not these posts are coming from people brand new accounts or barely any posts, I'm not trying to sound elitist but i don't give a shit how long you've listened, if you start an account expressly to shit on something you can fuck off. (that's not aimed specifically at you gregmsna) I'll say i wasn't really into this episode for a couple of reasons, one, I miss it anytime there isn't some kind of character, the same way i miss it when they don't play would you rather or some other kind of game. it's not a deal breaker but it'll always be disappointing. but more specifically to the episode i just wasn't that into the whole dynamic, something about scott and ben alone just didn't work for me, maybe it was just to manic and not really about anything, another reason why i think it needed someone else, character or not, to break it up a little. don't get me wrong i love ben schwartz some of his episodes are in my all time favorites (pulled bjork sandwich) and i realy really love when he and scott sing together. I just got tired of it pretty quick but hey, it's a bbbbonuusss ep right?

I taped this off HBO and am watching it right now. it's pretty fun but man is it stupid. some of these lines are crazy, like when the one kaiju sends out that EMP and shuts down the one jaeger and they're like "the other jaegers are digital, Gypsy is analog, nuclear!" what the fuck does that mean?? later they say Gypsy is basically a nuclear reactor, generating electricity presumably, wouldn't an EMP be just as effective at shutting them down? also, if Gyspy is the only one that's nuclear what do the other jaegers run on, gasoline? coal?

this isn't specifically in response to you, just everyone is general who's moaning about no more Sark I think we all have excitement and reservations but at the end of the day, this is what we got, Sark's gonna be gone as long as he needs to be gone, way longer than 3 months if we're being realistic, the dude has a real life and he wants to be a part of it, and crying about how this campaign isn't like the old campaign or losing the old characters or whatever other bullshit is just pointless. this is what Nerd Poker is now, it's gonna be great or maybe it's not. I choose to have faith it'll be awesome and as fun as ever.

when they were trying to think up songs they both knew the lyrics to I was so hoping they would reprise their duet of Skid Row/Star Wars cantina song medley in ep.229. one of my favorite CBB moments ever. made ever funnier by PFT's incredulity over whether they actually knew all the lyrics.

Ken's character is so perfectly useless it's hilarious. i love it.

I second all of these i just caught it on cable the other day, i could barely get through it, every line is spoken like they're trying to do a one liner but they arn't funny.

that's exactly what i was thinking! haha it's pretty fun seeing the new characters, especially ken and sarah cause we've never heard them play anything else, and it's funny how they are different but also so similar, ken's character is still a total coward and sarah's is still honorable yet impulsive. also, doesn't Dag being Damien's cousin mean that we're near or in Malevania? what does that mean if we know that the Old Asshole has been there and collected people? is this happening pre-collectors? so many questions already!!!

thats the joke dude, it's goofing on cornball romantic comedies. the lame voiceover is part of it.

I just caught the Luke Wilson/U2 episode the other day on tv. They closed the show with I Will Follow. it was pretty awesome

what's your point? both of those other shows just started and are on right now. the office hasn't been on for a year.

oh man, this episode was insane! loved it the baby symbolism was hilarious spoilers up next (maybe?) don't read the rest until you listen to the episode, though if you haven't listened yet why are you here . . . . . . WOW! what a campaign, Sark you will be missed while you're gone but, cheers dude, even as an observer that was an epic adventure, i loved every minute of it. I can't wait to hear what Blaine has in store for us. I'm actually extremely excited to see how the game changes witha new DM. I hope the party decides to roll up all brand new characters for the new adventure too, i'd love to hear how Sarah and Ken play a different type of character, also maybe get a more varied, less fighter heavy party (someone make a rogue already!) and get to see a brand new crop of fan art! man, i'm over whelmed with more emotion than i should be but even the rushed ending was thoroughly satisfying. can't wait for next week!
