    I mean, really, what kind of a soulless, miserable wretch of a human being would directly mock someone to their face about their disability?

     

    Unfortunately it's the internet, where you can hide behind a faceless avatar and spew whatever venom you wish. Best idea is to never take anything directed to you on a forum personally... because most likely its not personal, there's no face-to-face connection. The person hurling the insult would most likely never think of saying such things to your face if this interaction was happening in person, so with that in mind it doesn't have to have any impact on you in your life outside of here.

     

    Keep on with your DM advice, its fun to read (even tho when its too long winded i tend to skip most of it). Do what you do.

    Out of all of these the only one I have checked out is The Adventure Zone (episode 7 came out today) and it is fantastic! More than a few times I have caught myself laughing out loud like a knucklehead. Thanks for the suggestion! I could not recommend it more.

    I'm gonna double down on the love for Adventure Zone, on episode 3 now and loving it! the dynamic between the hosts is great, nerdy and hilarious. It's no Nerd Poker, but it fits in the same class for me :)

    Every time I see the anti-smoking ad before the show, I am more and more tempted to just shut the show off. As a consumer of tobacco products, I am offended. And, don't think the hypocrisy of a group whom I am sure enjoy smoking of one sort or another, has gotten past me.

     

    maybe it's your podcatchers way of telling you to quit smoking already… just saying.

    well I was going to save this episode to listen to tomorrow to close out my workweek… but this comment has me infinitely curious about what this ad could be.

    p.s. It would be interesting to tie this timeline into the other timeline by having them find a Collector ship at the dock. Probably won't happen, but there's been a lot of talk about stowing away, and that's how the last campaign started.

     

    that would be a lot of fun, but Blaine has said previously that he doesn't want to incorporate Sark's campaign because that's his thing and wants to respect it.

    It makes sense to have Hardwick as a guest, and I can't believe he's too busy to fit it into his schedule. If he is playing DnD with other people, he can certainly make time to drop by Nerd Poker. Of course, it is also possible (since @midnight has like 9000 writer) that the entire DnD joke was a written set-up specifically for the game they were about to play.

     

    Either way, Hardwick would be a welcome guest in my opinion.

     

    seriously? with all of what he's working on the dudes like a mini-seacrest… I'd be amazed if he has enough time to sit in on a D&D session. Would love to see it happen, but between the podcasts/podcast network, talking dead/@midnight/convention panel work, etc…

    I am about to quit as well. Half this show is now bullshit and the other half is game. Everyone should pop a Ritalin prior to recording.

     

    so you mean its half awesome, with another half of awesome added in? If you don't like it, don't listen… its that easy. Free show is free, quit complaining about a free show.

    Yeah, they were a sponsor for this last episode, Smell the Weird Rope. Still waiting for any acknowledgement form Earwolf or anyone connected to the show.

     

    it's funny, not long after making that post I listened to the latest episode and finally noticed the ad… yeah not a good fit for the show.
