My mind was blown that Jason or Paul didn't make fun of this part during the interminable horse stable scenes:

In Zorin's basement, Bond throws that obese henchman into a packaging machine to kill him. The plunger comes down to put the lid on the henchman SO SLOWLY. Instead of a lethal force, it comes down to gently massage him.

Hey guys, I really love the podcast - the mixture of thought provoking ideas and comedy is on point.
Β
One minor complaint - the music. Normally I can deal with the music bumpers you put in, but that "analog" German "band" you put on was way over the top. Not a fan!
-
Re: the Scotts covering the 'backlash' over the release strategy... the internet whining/feels over this album was ridiculous.
Β
A band you don't like released a free album? It took you 5 whole seconds to delete?
Talk about a first world problem!!

I guess this doesn't bode well for the Apple/U2 marketing machine, but the only way I (as a moderate U2 fan) knew there was a new album was my podcast app had a notification for me of this episode.
Β
Not a bad album, "Every Breaking Wave" is my favorite. Of course my favorite part of the new album was that the Scotts sat their juicy asses back into the studio to record another ep!!!!
Β
PS - When Scott did his Woody Allen saying "the... prisoner... of azKA-bannnnn"

If I were in the Letterman audience for the "Freak Like Me" taping, I would seriously question whether I had inadvertently consumed LSD.

Holy shit, this was great. I put it on and actually forgot it was a Scotty2Hottie remix until I heard those dulcet tones in the chorus.
A++!
-
Dang, Love and Peace or Else is my favorite song from this album.
Where is the love
Β
Sounds like someone's a fan of Old Sourpuss!

The story about kicking in the stall door while singing a Hall and Oates song was awesome.
Right after finishing this ep, I was in line at the UPS store, the radio played "Private Eyes".
Β
I started chuckling to myself like a complete fool!!

I've tried to listen to this week's episode about 4 times now but each time I wake up a thrilling adventure hour and 20 minutes later in a whimsical daze with no recollection of the show. Anyone else having this problem?

Dat-ta-dum-dum... Dat-ta-dum-dum... LOST TIME

I had been fearing this moment for the whole run of the podcast... I'm actually pretty pro Pop (the first half only), and "Do You Feel Loved" is in my Top 10 list.
Β
Glad to hear both scotts were on board.

I never get sick of hearing about the "twisted mind of Danny DeVito."
Β
Also, that 10 minute conversation between Bono and the Edge about the belly dancer was outstanding.
-
I was listening to it while running and I was laughing so hard I had to stop and catch my breath. I also forgot I was listening to a U2 podcast.
Sounds like someone was Running to Stand Still, if you know what I mean.
Also, how on earth do you exercise to a comedy podcast?

The best balance of real music discussion and off topic riffing of any episode so far. Great stuff.
A little heavy on the U2 talk for my taste, but a great listen nevertheless.

This podcast was such a treasure, thanks Andy, Matt and everyone else for all the laughs!!!
Β
Man I wanted to be one of those drunks in the audience shouting "MON-SIG-NOR!" SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I don't even like U2 and I've listened to their past albums. Final verdict? Eh? It kinda sucks. BUT THIS PODCAST IS AMAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY ZIIIIIIIIIIING
Β
I did the same with (Analyze) Phish. Not the best music I've ever heard, but the podcast has me laughing like hell.

I remember hearing ACHTUNG (baby) as a 13 year old boy, and thinking "this is what a rock album is supposed to sound like."
I cracked up when the album didn't get discussed at all. I might get my wish of this podcast going on forever!!

Man, people DO NOT like it when they are told how that attraction comes down to the simple biological level of chance, much like compatibility of blood type.
-
I realize I'm coming to the Analyze Phish party late (Earwolf has so many good shows, it's taken me a while to catch up).
I had a roomate in college who was a Phish fan/fratbro/filthy POS who never did laundry, and all of his clothes reeked like BO, pot, stale beer, and I'm pretty sure piss. You could smell his pile of filth through the closed door in the hallway, effectively reducing the chance of me bringing a woman back to my place to ZERO.
As a result, I hated Phish for decades.

Jumpcut to yesterday... I'm walking around Costco singing "Caesar with a tweezer..." to myself.
WHAT IS HAPPENING????

I love Hot Dog, he's so likeable and goofy and positive. Pretty much the anti-Danny Mahoney.
I would hang out with HD any day!

This is the best podcast.
I can't get enough of how it took them OVER AN HOUR to even mention Rattle and Hum.
Please keep the pace to one show per album, I can't get enough of it!

I know this is an episode to late, but out of all of the new wave bands of the 80's, can we all agree that Scritti Politti is by far and away the worst of them?
I thought Scottrick was making up Scritti Polittli, like a Kooky Cavemen type thing.
I googled Boom Boom Bap and made it through about 25 seconds on youtube. It's every bit as bad a Kulap implied with her mocking.
-
This show is so hilarious. I love how they're allegedly talking about a record that sold 25 million copies and they're spending more time talking about unfulfilled LA Food Bank charity promises.
Β
Thank god U2 has a ton of records, at this pace we're looking at tons more episodes.

What were all of the U2 hating feels about when this podcast started?
There's extremely little actual U2 in the podcast what with all of the goofy stories, movie talk, money chat, etc.
Β
Analyze Phish has WAY more Phish in it (ugh) than this has U2.
-
Holy shit, this episode was so meta.
The callbacks were insane on this one.
2014 has already been an amazing year for the podcast!

EPISODE 193 β Into the Thunderdome
in improv4humans with Matt Besser

These touchy-feely debates have the same effect on me that criticizing Hillary Clinton has on Besser.
