    A Note From Matt Gourley

~Me and all m'boogies send best wishes to ol' mark mc C. ~
  2. I'm so excited this is all happening!! There were event photographers there too! Here are pics on Gettyimages (with watermarks, boo.) And here are some on Zimbo (no watermarks, yay!) Also, Maria wanted an outfit critique so I made one.
  3. I am not sure where to post this but I must tell fellow Chartists about what Buzz Aldrin said on "The Nightly Show." Astronaut Buzz Aldrin mentioned that he had been to the wreckage of the Titanic in the DEEP OCEAN. So he has experienced both space and ocean, which not many people have to such an extent. When asked about which he prefered, the first thing he mentioned was riding a whale shark. Is this his way of saying he likes ocean more than space??
  4. I've been to Exchange City! It is in Kansas City. I don't remember it being like a cleared out office, but it is pretty fake. For some reason I was given the low level job of "back maker." I actually think it was titled "Sack Maker." I burst into tears getting my job assignment and it put a cloud over the whole day. We decorated the bags for the various shops around the town. Unlike Michael, I got confused with the whole check & bank process and faked sick the second half of the day to avoid it. I still got paid for that shift. I know this is very loosely related, but hearing this mentioned blew my mind.

    R.I.P. Harris Wittels

RIP I'm in shock from this. I was rooting for him so hard especially after hearing him on You Made It Weird.
  7. I spend summers at a house with BOTH dutch and saloon doors! They're fun. (It also has 3 sliding, 2 screen and 1 regular door.)
  8. As a Kansan, I must say that only an itty bitty sliver of Kansas is mountain time. We are mostly follow the Central Time Zone.
  9. I realized this last night: You can have a summah in the ocean, but you can never have one in space. There is LITERALLY no summah in space!! CHECK MATE, INSTERSTELLAR!
  10. Amy Poehler should be on CBB sometime soon for the season premier of Parks and Recreation, as she usually does, so maybe when she is at the Earwolf studios, she could do a quick interview for UTU2TM about sitting on Bono and crying in his arms. I'd love to know what she was thinking then.
  11. Speaking of Christmas, I cleared a spot for that sweet hot tub from Hot Tub Time Machine 2 that Scott said everyone would get but now that it isn't coming out on Christmas will I still get one?
  12. Bad news! The Tonight Show dates are canceled because Bonobos hurt his arm in Central Park and is having surgery on it! There is so much U2 news lately, I really need someone to talk it to me.
  13. No way! I've spent all these months trying to learn the names of the band members and now there might be more?!
  14. I love hearing Howard and Stard together. Stard is like the Wie-Whisperer and I love it.

    Episode 186 — Showin' Arm

Despite Jason's explanation, I still can't see Vines as a real professional form of entertainment. I find most vines with "Vine Celebs" totally annoying actually.

Episode 182 — Gandalf Vs. Snape

I am posting to show my support for Armen. Not that I disagree with him being totally first world problem, but he makes me laugh with his cringey-ness. Armen, you gotta get out of your own head though! Or think what you want to say before saying it, then you won't trail off second guessing yourself.
  17. We all know Howard's praise of the ocean as the best place to swim during summah, but what do you think? A case can be made for all the options. I grew up far from the ocean so I prefer a pool or lake with clear water.

    Episode 177 — Ugly Billionaires

Not that I'm a Katy Perry superfan, but Katy does write a lot of her own music and is the first credited writer for "Dark Horse." Just sayin.

    Summah food

For me, a big summah food is sweet corn. I live in Kansas, so we go to a roadside stand outside of town for fresh corn. My summah family vacation up to Wisconsin is always full of incredible ice cream and Friday night Fish Fry.

    Summah Skillz

This would be good for motivation. A good start and end time, Memorial Day to Labor Day. While, yes, summah is a time for relaxing and enjoying the weather, having a goal would be something great to do when you're not at the pool/ocean/doing summah things. It would also be a good way to make the summah memorable. Every year has sweet swimming moments, but you can always remember 2014 as the year you mastered...macrame or the tuba.
  21. I love the list of questions to ask someone. "Do you like space?" "Where would you rather dwell?" It reminded me of an app called Open Up.

    Episode 258 — Yoke Jams

Bill was amazing yokin' some Miley Cyrus. The song means somuch more to me now. I finally understand. I wonder if he has ever done karaoke in those booths where you can film a little music video? That would be incredible.

    CBB Live Tour Episodes

I want to give credit to the person in the audience at the Detroit who asked whether Mr. Cellophane existed in the particular universe during Would You Rather. I would have frozen up and been useless but he really added to the show, so kudos to him. These tour episodes are the BEST thing. If they are included in the Best of 2013 countdown, they'll have all 10 spots. I really can't put into words how much I love them. Imagine your love for your child, now imagine that as one grain of sand on the beach of my love for these podcasts. Yeah, suck it new dad.

    Episode 145.5 — TWO CHARTED 84

I love knowing Kulap has great TV taste. Sherlock, Orange is the New Black, Doctor Who! I wish she had talked more about Doctor Who. I hope she goes back to see David Tennant at work too. I'm haven't watched anything prior to Christopher Eccleston, but I hear its all great. Big Brother is a big commitment, but following Big Brother UK is an even bigger job. There is an hour show EVERY DAY along with Big Brother's Little Brother, another hour show discussing what happens in the house, and the eviction shows every Friday go half an hour longer. I've watched it since 2006. (Not the extra show, just the hour a day ep) There is also a "Celebrity Big Brother" series every year where very low level celebs live in the Big Brother house like regular conestants. This year they had Dustin Diamond from Saved by the Bell and child bride, Courtney Stodden. Even though it is a crazy commitment, it is addictive and I only hear people say it is better than BBUS. So if Scott and Kulap ever want to really say goodbye to their lives, check out BBUK 2006. It is on youtube and incredible. (Sorry to turn this into a TV plug post.)
  25. Armen cracked me up on this episode. It reminded me of an awkward encounter I had with a celebrity and I liked knowing that even people who regularly encounter celebs can get all flustered. But dang, calling Kulap CHING CHONG? He needs to lose some comedy credits (if he had any) or work them off in the Earwolf Mall.
