Super Fuzz AKA Super Snooper (1980)

I just watched this for the first time since I was a kid. I don't have the words. HDTGM needs! needs! needs! to do a podcast on this movie. So much to unpack. Next level bonkers. This movie shoud be recognized for the masterpiece it is.

    Varsity Blues

This movie is like a thirteen year old boy's fantasy of what it will be like to play football in high school. Girls in whip cream bikini's, teachers that moonlight as strippers, and cops that are too intimidated by the football coach to do anthing when the players drink and steal police cars! When I was in the Navy we stopped in Toulon France and while walking around town I saw a poster for this movie at the local theater and it was called "American Boys".

    Congo (1995)

You know how when you are a kid you don't realize movies suck? I saw this when I about 16 and I think it was the first movie I left the theater thinking, "That movie kind of sucked." It was a defining moment.

    The Ice Pirates (1984)

    Great movie.

    Enemy Mine (1985)

This movie is way better than it has any right to be.

    Lifeforce

This movie will always have a special place in heart for being one of the first movies I remember seeing with nudity in it.

    Best of the Best (1989)

I love this movie and agree that it is the pinnacle of Eric Roberts career. The only thing I can't understand is how is is Chris Penn in the middle weight class?

    The Boondock Saints (1999)

I don't know if this movie is great or terrible but I love watching it. Dafoe is amazing but I think just about all the actors do a good job with their over the top characters.

    Return to Oz (1985)

Yes. Those guys. I could have gone the rest of my life without seeing them again and yet I had to watch that video.

    Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991)

Yeah, this movie is a real piece of work. I think Brandon Lee steals the movie from Dolf, but they have good chemistry onscreen. Probably Tia Carrere's best performance.

    Robot Jox (1989)

Great movie for the podcast. It's been a long time since I saw this but didn't this movie predict, before Starship Troopers, that in the future showers would co-ed? Crash and Burn.

    The Quick and the Dead

Hackman tears this movie up. "It takes a lot to scare me. I love the sensation." is one of my favorite movie lines. A western directed by Sam Raimi? Yes please! Sharon Stone is ok but she is totally outshined by all the really great actors hamming it up in this flick.

    Return to Oz (1985)

The guys with wheels for hands and feet, that chased Dorothy around, scared the shit out of me. A lot. This movie is whack! Even Dorothy is creepy.

    Point Break (1991)

If I ever go on the run all my aliases are going to be the names of Keanu Reeves movie characters...Johnny Utah, Shane Falco, Ted Logan...the list goes on and on.

    Sleepwalkers (1992)

I went and saw this with my mom. Seriously. We had no idea. Great movie for the podcast.

    Legend (1985)

I don't think the movie really comes together and works in the end but there are a lot of things in this movie I love. All the moster/goblin make-up is great. Tim Curry's Darkness is one of the greatest make-up jobs in movie history IMO. I also really like the three goblins that disappear half-way through the movie, and how they rhyme when they talk. And I don't hate Tom Cruise in this or any of the good fairy/elf guys. Definately a very bold movie and you gotta respect that.

    Grease 2 (1982)

This episode needs to happen. I feel like the podcast is suffering from a distict lack of bikers that go bowling on Friday nights and sing awesome songs about it.

    Q&A w/ Paul Scheer Thread

Paul, why would someone recommend The Beastmaster for a podcast about bad movies? That literally makes no sense.
