  1. My mom calls my dad 'pie.' If we have the same influences it would be silly NOT to form a band. All this talk of "Zero Dollar Handbook" is just a rouse to keep the patent trolls out of gringotts.
  2. Did you really have to mention all the people that want us anthraxed?? Our kids listen to this show, and highschool is tough enough as it is without the constant worry of bad people anthraxing on daddy. ps. whoa
  3. If we have the same influences, it would be silly NOT to form a band. I listen to a lot of Captain Sensei, Karate Cousins, Judy-o-in-the-studio, and that whole scene.
  4. Common, A good friend of mine actually started getting MORE gigs when he lost the hair from out of his head. All he did was send his TRESemmΓ© to all the top agents. LAST ONE, I PROMISE.
  5. :) :) :) :) Is anyone on this forum not being facetious?? I was just trying to make a will & grace/modern family joke, dude. Normcore is a new trend in fashion. It's almost as if the thrift stores ran out of loud obnoxious clothes and all the hipsters had to settle for Lands End polos and Avix running shoes... http://nymag.com/the...hion-trend.html I only included the link because my buddy Jake is #4 in this slide show. He's been dressing like Larry David ever since Halloween when he went as Michelango's Larry David..... ...apologies for all the posts it's been a slow week at work. I'm gonna slink back into the woodwork now... ps. i don't want no beef chanson!!! you can make or break a man in this town.
  6. Maybe back in 2011*. Now there's this thing called normcore, and I can't tell my Jacks from my Wills. *encyclopedia brittanica But seriously Chanson, your comments don't necessarily overstep the bounds of the family forum paradigm, but with a little effort, I think we might be able to adopt a more accepting, progressive attitude and make this a modern family forum. food for thought, -shosho
  7. Awww shucks. We have a new (much funnier) show but I'm not comfortable plugging it just yet. That Adam Levine bit was fantastic. As was the wakeboarding bit. I need to revisit the classics... It is indeed. I drew that back in the day when we were doing the Reality Show Show Show (our original podcast). We had a recurring bit where callers would call in and describe themselves and we'd draw a portrait of them. I kept that one handy in case Sean and Hayes called in. It's really unfortunate because every time they tried to call in the line was busy. I wasn't surprised to learn about the scruff. I pulled the wikipedia volume off the shelf and --sure enough "some fancy type of gay guy."
  8. Anyone else remember Reality Show Show Ep. #4 Superfast 4G w/ Dom Dierkes?? I sure do. I was 22 at the time, taking shifts as radio engineer to make rent on a soggy bushwick apartment (katrina hit us pretty hard). The episode was a little spooky, but it still had me bussin up. It was clear to me that I needed to shuck that peasant lifestyle and launch the smash-hit, home-run podcast of the fall. The podcast brought fame, money, and two personal facebook friends of note (that's right valerie, the rumors are true). But then Sandy hit and everything changed. My dong's still huge, but everything else is different..
  9. Eggs Benedict (comedy) -- This British detective will crack more than just cases. Ross and Rachel -- Have they gotten back together?? Are they still friends?? Did Ross get married again?? What ever happened with those two?? ...million dollar baby-d?? that one's ^^ for MBOP i've had some chardonnays...
  10. hypothetical scenario... ...two hollywood 'it-boys' take a break from crushin' to start a weekly advice column. A. What would you call the column? B. What types of things might you ask them? i'll toss one into the mixer -- Dear Uncles Clements and Davenport, Boys, you know I respect your opinion and that's why i'm writing (Thanks again for bailing me out last time--the name North West was a real hit). But i'm in trouble again, the wedding is just around the corner and the guest list is starting to dwarf our venue. My beach house is just TOO DARN SMALL. I know that my place isn't nearly as roomy as your Santa Barbara house but I thought you might have some tips. -Kanye p.s. have you seen my tevas? i think i left them there that time when you taught me to throw a spiral..
  11. @ 14 seconds people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djigcpyzBUQ Not trying to one up you, but I got to interview him on the radio a while back and my boss vetoed the question "did you fuck dudes in prison??" About a month later, the story broke that he moved in with his prison husband!! I'm still real bitter about it. Since it's relevant (because of the youtube vid), and I already look like a name-dropperrrrrrrr.....Tim Robbins is a TOTAL bad-ass. He used to fuck a friend of mine and he'd show up at punk shows and DESSIMATE people in the mosh pit.
  12. I know that Engineer Bret is like 'all the rage' these days -- but can someone tell me if Engineer Frank is board opping for the Burger Records show on OC rock radio. They have a guy named Engineer Frank, and there just aren't that many people named Engineer any more so I figured it might be the same dude.
  13. chillin' or trillin? best band ever -- eagles or tom petty? oh yeah, and you guys should check out my band Telepathic Dumpster --
  14. Spoiler alert?? Is this a reference to the Fast and the Furious?? Boys, have talks resumed with the FF franchise? Last I heard the contract was too 'binding' ...

Episode 4 β€” Adam Pally, Our Close Friend

Okay so I'm an engineer at a radio station and when I'm playing with my wires in the apparatus room I'm usually listening to stuff--the only way to do this is to A). go into one of the studios . play something out of the board. C) source the board's playout in the apparatus room. Okay so either way, I was just listening to Hollywood Handbook and when you guys came back from the 2nd break and said something to Bret about a song--loud ass electro started playing. It matched up so well with ur conversation with Bret that I assumed you had requested he play some random electro to compound on your daft punk joke. Either way, about 40 minutes later I'm getting really sick of the joke, but am still listening and a siriusxm advertisement played and I figured out what had happened. A janitor must have come into this studio and put music on at exactly the right moment. SOOOO, now i'm resuming the podcast.

Episode 3 β€” Donald Glover, Our Close Friend

You guys should host a hollywood handbook film festival of user submissions on the fb page. Some of the dudes on this forum are funny as hell and i'll bet they put something pretty solid together (i'm pointing at you, greggy). It might also serve as a good talking point for each week's guest. They could pitch different ideas or suggestions to the diy listeners at home--maybe even outline their own criteria for acceptable submissions... Just cravin' more audience participation after I copped 5 minutes on this weeks popcorn gallery, thass all. Great show.
  17. I wish someone would call ME 'muscles 85' for once
  18. In retrospect, I would have loved to asked Blake why he changed his IMDB name back from 'Uncle Blazer' That shit was too funny, and for anyone who hasn't seen his IMDB photo--do so immediately. Another great show homies. Questions for Donald: is it hard being the only black rapper? are you the greatest rapper of all time, or is it too soon to tell and safer to assume it's a 3 way tie with biggie and pac? would you rather be taken seriously as a musician or actor?? is it possible to hit both marks?? do you think drake's music would be received differently if he were still playing a handi-capped canadian?? do you think people would subscribe to ice-t's no nonsense cop routine if he was still touring 'cop killer'?? how do you get into the 'funny zone'?? -charlie

Episode 1 β€” Jake Johnson, Our Close Friend

-What was your first major role in a production? -When an improv. bit is tanking, what are 3 things you can do to turn it around and blow some wind in the sails? -Who are your favorite podcast hosts besides joe and charlie of the reality show show show? -What is more gratifying, acting or writing? Do you feel more accomplished carrying out someone else's vision, or vice versa? -You've had your hand in some weird, edgy, and intelligent stuff. You've also been a part of some fluffy, mainstream projects intended to reach a wide audience. Would you prefer to compromise your comedy and appeal to the masses or would you rather just do-you, knowing far fewer people are going to get the jokes?? -In Hollywood, there seems to be a stigma about washed-up stars taking gigs on sitcoms and commercials to pay the bills. What advice do you have for our very own Sean Clements on protecting his image as he transitions from super-stardom to the lowest common denominator of entertainment--the cable sitcom?? Edgy ones i'm sure you won't use: If you we're going to kill your boss, how would you get away with it? What do you think about when you're trying to cry on command?? follow-up question -- What do you think about when you're trying not to cum?? how often do you tan your dick?? (spraying doesn't count) if you were in a surf-punk band, would you call it 'swamp babies' or 'sids'??

Episode 1 β€” Jake Johnson, Our Close Friend

Good job boys. Great job boys! For those of you that haven't already signed up, the waiting list for the pro version is still relatively short. I'm just ahead of 'Mr. Seinfeld' at slot #68. ^^Even though I'm re-listening to the podcast, this is how it feels.^^ p.s. When did you meet DJ Spaghetti Os?? Small world....

Episode 39 β€” There Is Ninjas

I've always been curious about the hair dresser mafia (the mop--colloquially). Not asking anyone to name names (aside from Brian Seacrust, obvi) but people talk--and I wanna hear. That's just me, but let's see here from a journalist's perspective we've got... A) Top-ten celebrity mouth-holes. Hayes-ing: a cascading weekly segment in which Hayes agrees to publicly address a fan's question in the next week's episode if his terms are met. C) Phat booty cyrus (aka billy ray) <<segment should be pretty self-explanatory. D) Tweets that Matter: a segment in which the week's highs and lows are evaluated and broken-down. E) Clemency: a segment where Sean defends and ultimately pardons the week's most brutal victim of the paparazzi ignore me, i'm just bored at work. But one thing I might actually be interested in is how to know if the screenplay you are working on already exists?? I put a good deal of work into an apocalypse comedy only to find out that it was already in production. And on that note--what do you do when ur billion dollar idea for an urban zip line is thwarted by jerry seinfeld in a capital one commercial 2 years ago??

    Episode 38 β€” I Have 30 Companies

Agreed. Maybe a theme-song contest is also in order. I still have a tanks but no tanks vs. lilttle drummer boy mashup rattling around in the archives. I'll present that at a seasonally appropriate time though...

    Episode 38 β€” I Have 30 Companies

Personally, I'm stoked for a new platform. Not a huge reality tv fan (besides monday night raw). H-bone, Clem-d--can I get some professional advice on what to rename my podcast in a few months?? We currently operate under the super slick monicker "Reality Show Show Show." PS. apologies for the lack of fresh show show show content. we spilled a beer on our studio. #eddieguerrerolives ur favorite tag-team, -brawny appleseed and f. chop fitzgerald, d.d.s. PPS. SiriusXm just built 13 remotes in LA and has an entire talk channel dedicated to celebrity gossip. Just a thought. Holler at the facebleezy if you wanna talk ting endorsements...
