It is fun to rap in a spiritually ambiguous way!!!
Β
[Also, I slipped in an "it's been awhile" at dinner at my parents' house over the weekend, and my poor wife nearly lost it trying not to laugh.]
I find it extremely difficult to not blurt out "IT'S BEEN AWHILE" Staind-style when someone says those words in conversation.

my money is on the Kelsey Grammer Sketch Show where she performed alongside PFT and It's Always Sunny's Kaitlyn Olson...

and Kelsey Grammer, of course (considering his name is synonymous with... sketch comedy). I've never seen it so I have no reason to believe it's as awful as it sounds, but it is hard to conceive that it aired in 2005.
I watched the first episode, and it feels like something straight out of 1995.
Β
Here's the first 9 minutes of the first episode. You can find the rest of it on Youtube. I never bothered to look up the other 4 or 5 episodes, but you can probably find them, too.

Just started listening to this one, and it is immediately amazing. Chris Gethard is hilarious.
Β
Also, Shannon O'Neill's oak tree character could manage Mokujin Ken:

(I am also a big wrestling fan.)

On the boy from Kramer vs. Kramer

PFT: "He does not like naked Jo Beth Williams"
Fero: "Ugh, who does?!"
PFT: "KRAMER!...from Seinfeld."

In the ad where the little puppet kid gets caught in the ceiling fan and goes flying, why would they even have a ceiling fan? Wouldn't that be a hazard to the wife and child in that house?
Having a ceiling fan also means they have a ceiling. So then...how do the puppets move? What is pulling their strings?

Just looked it up, and Scott was right. Some types of rattle snakes are known for their rattle which stings people.
-Wait, the opposite-
Technicality. No. Down. Boo. Over
Technicality no down boo over?!

WE ARE SPARTA!
Β
Also, love how Jason calls back the Improv4Humans where he learned what "defenestration" means. And the long-awaited "Mr. Nanny" HDTGM (which has since been released).

I was a big fan of this movie and all 4 castmembers listed above back when I was a kid.
-
Even managed to squeeze in a "technicality no down boo over" 1:18 in.
Add 3 hours, 2 minutes to that, and you got somethin'.

This is my new favorite episode, Besser! I laughed so hard my face hurt. Every part of this one was hilarious, I couldn't possibly pick one scene for Best Of Vol. 6.

"Who other better to know" and "quid poe crow" are two phrases I wish I could reference in everyday conversation, but never has the opportunity come up.
Β
Anyway, this Bonus Best Of is fantastic. Some classic scenes!
Β
The Porta Potty Sushi sketch is even funnier the second time!

I'm a big fan of both Paul and Todd, but never heard them interact before. I'm glad they got along well (not like I expected fistfights or anything), and the show was a lot of fun.
Β
Todd is such a great podcast guest because he's so passionate about his beliefs and opinions. I feel like I could hear him talk about his favorite pizza toppings, and I would be riveted.

I actually liked the plugs theme.

Listening right now. The first 2 scenes prominently feature a character named Ron. I now hope all of them do.

Editing/adding stuff as I listen:
Β
"Follow the one you love, not..."
"-the one you're with?"
Β
I let out a loud laugh at that exchange.
Β
"To Melanie, from Dracula" also made me laugh.
Β
Thank you, Thomas, the cobalt/kobold confusion was bugging me, too. And then the nerdy Charlie character being into his own sister was so bizarre and silly.
Β
Uh, I think this is my new favorite episode. Thanks Matt, et al.

Maybe it's just me, but for me, I think it would be nice to hear the entire Analyze Ph/Fish crew reflect on the Hollywood Bowl show in-studio.
Β
Admittedly, it makes sense to end the show the way it began, with just Scott and Harris analyzing Phish. And I don't want people thinking I thought this episode was lame or anything, as it was a blast. All I'm saying is that, if there were, say, a commentary special for this show, I would not be complaining.

I listened to this one last year when I went on a Paul F. Tompkins listening spree. Since that time, I've gotten into Superego, so I'm giving this a re-listen today! Fun!

At first, I thought Neil was doing the generic dumb person voice that people do when telling a story. Maybe he was.
Β
I think that's a funny idea for a charac.
There were a couple times where he sounded like Will Ferrell's Harry Caray.

Some updates for my list:
Β
-Toys (saw it when I was a kid, remembered nothing except for the fake music video)
-Halloween III: Season of the Witch (my favorite of the Halloween series, I own the DVD)
-Daredevil (saw it in the theater, bought the DVD, I was a big fan of it)
-Mortal Kombat (saw as a kid, thought it was okay)
