  1. Agreed. And I feel like Amanda Lund manages to make this happen every episode she's on.
  2. Is this an "Every square is a rectangle, but not every rectangle is a square" situation?

    Episode 77 - Concession Stand

It's PFT's birthday, and he's the one giving us the gift of this wonderful episode. Happy birthday, Paul!
  4. Nothing offends me more than insulting imaginary children. Real kids can fend for themselves. Imaginary kids have no one to advocate for them.
  5. This is one of my favorite episodes. I hope Nicole Parker returns as a guest in a future episode. And let the guest in the episode before her know that they are required to ask the question "What the hell is up with that school?!" I bet she has an entire episode worth of stories about that place. Also, it's super weird that nrkist decided that, of all things in the world that could be complained about, the hill s/he chose to die on was about whether or not a stranger signs the back of their credit card. NOT WORTH ONE SENTENCE, LET ALONE 8 PARAGRAPHS.
  6. Drew Tarver is, to borrow a word from Scott Aukerman, fantastic. His appearance on the CBB Tour in Atlanta is one of the funniest moments of the tour.

    SEASON 3: GAME 8 - PISTOL SHRIMPS 5/31/16

I don't think I've ever wanted to mail something to a podcast so badly before. I just can't think of what I could send (besides the full-sized anvil).

    A Note From Matt Gourley

Totally understandable. My thoughts are with Mark and his family.
  9. This comment isn't real. It's a construct of your brain, which also isn't real.
  10. I laughed so hard during this episode, but I somehow missed the NYSU news and heard it for the first time at the end of this episode. Now I'm just sad.

Episode 5 - Chris Christie Goes to the Beach

I don't believe in 9/11 conspiracies, but I now believe that Chris Christie had Clarence Clemons assassinated.

    Season 3: Game 4 - Pistol Shrimps 4/26/16

Excellent choice to have Chris Tallman as this week's co-host. I don't really have anything else to add besides my strong approval.

    Season 3: Game 3 - Pistol Shrimps 4/19/16

If there's an Internet poll to name a referee, the obvious winner will be Whistle-y McWhistleface.
  14. So many great moments in this one. Karen's stand-up routine killed me. "And how did it go?" "Pretty good."
  15. Slenderman would make a great gynecologist if he just gave up that ice water habit.
  16. Even when I have absolutely no idea what's going on, Spontaneanation is one of the funniest podcasts ever.
  17. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Eban's musical choices this week were killer.
  18. Dammit, on the one-year anniversary of the podcast there wasn't a single "fuck you" to those miserly crones Mildred and Patty Hill!
  19. I'm sure I think this after almost every episode, but this might be the funniest one yet. Every part of this one made me laugh out loud (including the airport ads). It was insanity covered with a nice top layer of progression that kept everything moving smoothly.

Episode 50 - Santa Fe Art Gallery

Since nobody here has mentioned her yet, I just wanted to say how much I love when Amanda Lund is on an episode. She's so enthusiastic about any scenario and makes PFT laugh even more than usual. She always takes things to a credibly weird place, if that makes sense.
  21. I'm pretty sure I love every improviser who has been on Spontaneanation, but I always get excited to see Chris Tallman in the episode description. Nobody does a grizzled old man voice better than him.
  22. I think the first time I heard PFT do the little kid voice was an episode of Thrilling Adventure Hour where he plays Frank Doyle as a kid. It's my favorite episode of Beyond Belief. I think it's called "Wishing Hell."
  23. The entire existence of humanity has culminated in the multiple team-ups of Paul F. Tompkins and Lauren Lapkus. We can reach no higher.
