Wonder how that's possible with Brian on tour (happen to know because I have tickets to see him in Seattle tonight)...
Looks like it was yesterday. Whatevs.

Take it from someone who plays a lot of poker - there are two jokers in a deck.

Bruce Willis/Sark is the best.

Weird question...where did Sark grow up? I know he mentioned moving a lot, but im wondering if it was all in the same General area?
I think he mentioned Utah once. I could be wrong. I know there were references to growing up Mormon.

Actually that's not it. It's on the main episode page in the episode photos:

Why do they feel the need to release a new version every 5 years now... I remember AD&D lasting almost 15 years before they released 3rd edition.
A couple of reasons - money, for one. They can't sell you new books if they don't make them, and you can only expland an existing ruleset so far.
Â
That said, they used to crank out good modules constantly for 1st and 2nd Editions, but have gotten away from that (and most of the ones produced for 4th are boring).
Â
The main reason though is they know they screwed up with 4th Edition by trying to make it more like WoW. Instead of taking the good from 1st, 2nd and 3rd they made it a whole different game. Hopefully Next fixes that.

I played first edition exclusively from middle school through college, then lost having a group. I never moved to 2nd because TSR cowered to parents groups and removed all things demonic or devilish.
Â
I started playing 4th last year.. while I am not as big a fan of the game mechanics, the character builder and apps I can use on my iPad have proven invaluable. It also made it easier for our less-experienced players to create their characters.
Â
I'm evaluating Next right now.

Is it just me or was this the inspiration for Sir Richard?

Contact Earwolf support - they may let you donate the difference.

FWIW I donated in August and got my shout out today.

Sorry, double post.

It *is* Gerry, doing kind of a "dumb guy" voice.

Is Stargoyle indestructable?
He's a familiar, so essentially, yes. They can be destroyed but they will re-appear.

Which is cooler I'm not sure. Hopefully this was not asked already but did you get your idea for gaseous life forms from the TV series cosmos with Carl Sagan? He describes imagined life on Jupiter similar to the creatures you had. Also I imagine The Jetsons helped conspire those trees.
Dude, are you kidding me? This was asked and answered on the LAST PAGE:
Â
Negative! Some folks have posted it correctly in the forums but it is based off of Larry Niven's book 'The Integral Trees'. Niven's book may very well be based on some of the ideas in Cosmos as it came out a few years after Sagan's series!

Unfortunately the material is so thin, mine ripped on the seam the first time I wore it : /.

Sark, not game related, but why no Nerd Poker panel at Comic Con this year? It seems a natural fit with your audience and at least a couple of the crew were there anyway... keep it in mind for next year.
How did you start listening to Nerd Poker?

I was actually looking for a poker podcast about a week before this aired, which was coincidental since Ihappen to know one of the participants.
