Someday Cameron will be on the show without the endless amount of shit posting. Oh what a day that'll be. That being said Matt Gourley may be the funniest man to ever live.

Saying you don't like something an artist does later on in their career doesn't mean you're pretending that you never liked anything they've done. I also don't think that feedback based on Tom's appearance on this show has anything to do with how people felt about his career before or after the fact. In the comments section of the episode Dane Cook did a few months ago numerous people said they weren't fond of him during the peak of his popularity, but they enjoyed him on the podcast. Some of which said they'd be willing to give his new material a try. It seems like you're trying to act like people wanted to shit on this episode without even listening just because Tom was on it. While that may be true for a small amount of people, it seems like the majority of the listeners were willing to give this a try and found problems with it only after they listened. For whatever it's worth, I liked Tom Green 15 years ago. I've even gone back as recently as a year or two ago and watched some of his old bits on youtube. They were funny to me then and I still laugh at them now. If it's funny it's funny, if it's not then it isn't. Of course comedy is subjective so whether or not he or anything else is funny is merely a matter of opinion and not an absolute fact. That being said just because I have a differing opinion than yours doesn't mean that I belong in a group of people that you've created in order to rationalize someone having a separate opinion. It's like saying you're racist if you don't like a certain black comedian or you're homophobic if you don't like a specific LGBT comedian. While not IMPOSSIBLE, it's a bit of a reach.

I've never laughed so loudly at something in my life, it was just so unexpected yet beautifully timed and well played. I think everyone pretty much summed up how uncomfortable things became, so I'll just skip bashing Tom (although I really want to) and say how happy I am to hear Mary on CBB again and cheers for the Traci reference made early on into the show.

EPISODE 22 β Joe Wengert: The California Supreme WinShow
HipsterNonsense replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
The off mic laughter was contagious. I forgot to get my off mic laughter vaccination shots and soon found myself laughing as well. Lauren and Joe play off each other so well, it was a joy to listen to. -
EPISODE 20 β Stephanie Allynne: Jillian Palmer Arbonne Podcast
HipsterNonsense replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
"She has a man's hair cut." "Yeah, she's an ugly bitch.....and she's poor." The delivery of that line was FLAWLESS. This was one of my favorite episodes so far. Which is impressive since I've enjoyed all of them. -
I'll forgive you, but things are gonna be pretty awkward between us for a couple of days. I'll sleep on the sofa though since I know you have a bad back.

EPISODE 338 β Be My Guest, Literally
HipsterNonsense replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
This is one for the record books. Michael made some great picks and did a good job in his own right. Everyone delivered and my face began to hurt from all of the laughter and grinning. Easily a Best Of episode and an all time favorite as well. -

The transition from 2Girls1Cup to The Sponge Bob Movie was absolutely flawless.

Danish people are apparently notorious for not showing up to things. I've learned a new stereotype today, thanks I4H! -
Kid Cudi taking over for Reggie?!?
HipsterNonsense replied to Game of Scones's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Agreed. Seemed like a bit of a strange choice at first, but after seeing how game he was during the show Friday he seems like he'll be a good fit. Still going to be interesting to see how things change musically since they are two very different artists. -
EPISODE 336 β NOT Farts and Procreation 4
HipsterNonsense replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
One thing I enjoy about Ear Wolf is the communal vibe that seems to come attached to it. It seems like the majority of the performers are friends and it's a pleasure to hear some of the most brilliant minds in comedy working together to put out amazing podcasts and do wonderful projects without ego getting into the way. It's also nice to know that these performs pay attention to their fanbase. It's nice to know that I can tweet positive things to someone like a James Adomian, a PFT, an Andy Daly, or a Lauren Lapkus and know that they've seen it, appreciate it, and sometimes are even kind enough to write back. It's nice to know that the behind the scenes staff is willing to answer questions and provide insight into the goings on at EW. It's nice knowing that Scott reads these threads, gauges our feedback, and tries to give us what we want. The interaction between all these talented people and the fans that consume their media helps to break down the barriers and humanize them in a way that isn't possible with other entertainers. Thus feelings of emotional investments/attachment are created. While that's almost always a good thing, times like this makes it really difficult. I've been fortunate enough to not have to endure loss in my personal life. (humble brag????) But watching what's transpired the last couple of days has been tough. It hurts to see such nice people dealing with such a tragic experience. It makes me sad knowing that the people who have brought me countless hours of joy are feeling sorrow. Hearing Scott's introduction and the sadness in his voice was painful to listen to. It literally hurt to hear him like that. I didn't know Harris and I don't know Scott, but listening to the introduction of the show was heart breaking. I can only imagine what this must be like and I offer my condolences to anyone who knew Harris either personally or as a fan of his work. Thanks for releasing the episode, Scott. The post intro content was hilarious and it was great to hear everyone having such a great time. The scheduling bit was actually interesting. It was funny, but it was also cool to hear about the work that goes into scheduling something like this. I took it for granted, but it sounds like it was a near herculean task to get everyone together again. I couldn't be more thankful that you did. And whomever was responsible for the closing montage they did an amazing job. It feels nice to be able to celebrate comedy despite whatever else may be taking place in the world. Mother fuckers just want to laugh indeed.- 369 replies

EPISODE 14 β Talking with Tommy LIVE from RIOT LA
HipsterNonsense replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
If I can confess to ignorance on my behalf I always assumed it was Kate Micucci. It sounds like her singing voice (I may be the only one that thinks this) and while I wanted to post a thread for a while now asking who did the theme I figured that it was obviously Kate and I was going to look dumb for asking. Now I look dumb for believing so stubbornly in an incorrect assumption. I hope you guys can forgive me.... We do love the game though. There's no mistaking that. -
EPISODE 13 β The Tom Leykis Radio Program

EPISODE 13 β The Tom Leykis Radio Program
HipsterNonsense replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
I don't think I've ever posted this here, but once the premise of Special Guest was announced I began running through possibilities of podcasts she could appear on. Time and time again this was the one that I would go to. This was the one I wanted to hear the most, this was the one I wanted the most, this was the best possible pairing for my personal tastes. I love all of James' characters, but Tom is my favorite. So needless to say when I saw Lauren and James in the picture at the top of the site my eyes lit up. When I realized that it was going to be The Tom Leykis Show my heart fluttered at the prospect of not only getting two of my favorites, but getting EXACTLY what I wanted. I haven't even listened yet, but I'm already delighted beyond words. I'm thankful that this show exists and I couldn't be more appreciative to be able to listen to this. It's going to be great, but now it's time to shut up and click the download button. -
That was probably my favorite part. James is pretty much the perfect balance of being hilarious while being thoughtful and not having to be mean spirited.

Adam Pally & Benny Schwaz host The Late Late Show
HipsterNonsense replied to Kickpuncher's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I would watch that show every day. Seeing something like this on CBS was surreal. -
"Look, I haven't laughed since 1972." Jerry Minor is ridiculously underrated. Really loved hearing him and Horatio go back and forth. Wish I could learn about the bad things going on in the world from them, they manage to take a lot of the sting out of it. On a vaguely related note, I really miss hearing Jerry as Cyber Thug.

Episode 171 β Whatβs Your Profession?
HipsterNonsense replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Or she should stop seeing "dentists" that work on international waters. In all seriousness I'm astounded that a man like that made it through medical school. Also based on Lauren's story it seems he does that to most of his clients and on a regular basis. It's weird to think that there hasn't been complaints or some kind of a lawsuit or action of some kind against that guy. -
I want to believe those are the only cups he owns and he has a stack of them for when visitors come to his house.
-
Horatio and Lauren have great chemistry together. They play off each other so perfectly and hearing them go back and forth is a joy to listen to. The vibe of the podcast is really unique. It's all over the place, but in an enjoyable way. It was also cool to here them talk about local Chicago shows. I spent the first half of my childhood there so it was a nice nostalgia trip for me as well.

I didn't see a Galaxy at all in those photos. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty CHEESED off about that. Also Shelly mentioning Chevy tickled me in the best possible way. When Scott started talking about Community I expected that to come up for some odd reason, so I felt a great joy when it actually was brought up.
