    Episode 419 - The 7th Anniversary Show!

I love this show, and this line-up is spectacular - with that said, less Tim Baltz, please. I've yet to hear him be funny and/or make-up a character that isn't derivative of someone else's, funnier character.

    Episode 268 - Slime Wrestling

If he said anything about Inside out, I wouldn't give a shit as it has nothing in it that would be controversial/make people uncomfortable (his "No, I won't see that" would be construed as him saying, "I don't go see animated films."). I'm not sure if you know this or not, but when you deal with a lot of discrimination/are very close to people who deal with a lot of discrimination on a daily/weekly basis, you kind of pick up on the way people will dismiss something. The way in which Giancarlo dismissed it seemed to be a value judgement on his part, a way of saying "No" that also says, "and I don't want to discuss my reasons for not wanting to see it." However, it may simply be the case that he doesn't go see any movies that deal with dramatic themes. Whatever, it bothered me. Sorry I've gone and offended you so dearly. Go back to complaining about the new format or whatever.

    Episode 268 - Slime Wrestling

While I found Giancarlo an interesting and fun guest, his dismissive comment when asked by Kulap about seeing the Danish girl was a little bothersome. Perhaps I am just too sensitive, but, "No, I won't go see that." sounds like he ight have issues with Transgender folks. Coming from a smaller town, that sort of answer usually has undertones of "because I don't think we should promote that sort of thing." I'm probably wrong, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
  4. This picture is so perfect it's making my mind melt, I know a picture is worth a thousand words, but ONE picture of A THOUSAND WORDS, now you've got my ear:

    QUESTIONS FOR SCOTT RE: HOWL

Hello Adam/Scott (NOT Adam Scott), This a super, duper long shot, but is there any way to make available to HOWL subscribers some exclusive musical content from the musical guests on CBB? I ask this because I absolutely adore Diane Coffee's acoustic renditions of songs on his upcoming album and would love to hear more acoustic renditions of his songs. Perhaps have the guests record a few songs that are exclusive to Earwolf/HOWL. There is probably too much legal bullshit that would make this impossible, but I thought it could be something like NPR's Tiny Desk series.

    EPISODE 241.5 — 7/17/15 TWO CHARTED 180

24 This American Pie Eating Contest

    I love Jerry Minor.
  9. Brett Morris for president of sound engineers! Excellent episode, so funny and the musical guest was wonderful!
  10. The point you seem to be missing in this story is that the journalist seems to have been aggressively pursuing Kozelek for an interview, and even went so far as to say, when he declined a face to face interview and made a mockery of the email interview, that she was going to interview his friends about him. That's fucked up, in itself. If you're a journalist who is trying to get an interview with someone famous who historically doesn't like to be interviewed and is a known asshole, what do you expect when you move beyond the boundaries they have for themselves? It is a very underhanded move to interview friends of a person because you cannot get direct access to that person. Kozelek deserves his privacy as much as the next person. Was what he said silly and stupid? Of course, but I am not sure he deserves the widespread condemnation that he has been getting recently. His song was not demeaning to ALL female journalists, it was demeaning to one female journalist who overstepped the boundaries of the person she was trying desperately to interview. And to what end? It's not like Kozelek has some secret knowledge and he just won't share it with the rest of us - he's just a guy that plays sad bastard music, and surprise, he's a bastard. And, further, as a singer-songwriter, I would imagine most of his output is completely to mostly autobiographical, why does he need to answer boilerplate questions when you can gain an understanding of who he is through his art? Ian MacKaye of Discord Records/Fugazi gets the same kind of bullshit heaped on him because he doesn't like giving interviews. He's not a jerk, he's just a guy doing what he loves and doesn't need to sit down and explain his day to day life to some jackass music journalist.

    20 Kattan's in the Cradle

I am completely in love with the production of this show! Whatever you're doing Chad, keep it up, it's fantastic. It is reminiscent of the production of two of my favorite bands, Please Inform the Captain, This is a Hijack and Baader Brains. Both were Bay Area punk/hardcore outfits, but so much more. Their records were interspersed with samples from old/obscure movies, usually played over top of funk or dance-y music, but, like this show, it was all completely seamless. The main force behind both bands, Sarah Kirsch, passed a few years ago, which was a huge bummer because she was so wildly talented and I've really missed her style of putting a record together. I am so happy to have this podcast because it is similar in the amount of care Chad is putting into this show, as well as its seamlessness. With that said, this show is wonderful. Thank you for all the laughs!

    EPISODE 231.5 — 5/08/15 TWO CHARTED 170

Can we put a moratorium on complaining about Armen, especially considering the topic around which this episode focuses? Your complaints come off as jealous and petty. Knock it off, anyone can go through a tough time, or be anxious about appearing on a podcast and not be totally there. With that said, this episode is beautiful and sad.

EPISODE 231 — Slow Dance Party

And that is Armen's fault in what way?

EPISODE 231 — Slow Dance Party

Because money and the amount thereof is the determining factor in how one develops as a person? You're correct when you say that "it probably isn't fair", and therefore, perhaps keep it to yourself next time? Because Kulap is great friends with Armen and she enjoys having him on the show, and others, such as myself, enjoy when he is on the show. If you don't like it, then don't listen when Howard is absent.

EPISODE 347 — Foley Slumber Party

You're probably correct, but that was the first, and only, person that popped into my mind.
