  1. I haven't clicked through all of these questions, so pardon my impoliteness if I'm repeating what another user has asked:

Have you considered leaving up "classic" episodes for free? Or certain ones each month, or what it may be?

I only ask, because I love to share Comedy Bang Bang and U Talkin' U2 To Me? with friends who aren't privy to finding such things on their own, and there are certain episodes that I personally think are really good introductory episodes to Comedy Bang Bang specifically. In fact, I'm currently dating a girl to whom I had sent several episodes after first meeting her.

  2. I was very ready to argue against what Matt was saying against Sun Kil Moon, but I got to the end and I agree with him. He CAN say what he wants. I think he's a talented musician, I also think he's a pretty big asshole from what I've read. He also seems to hate doing press, but loves getting attention from the press. That War On Drugs thing was just a one off comment on a stage, the press picked it up, and it was a big thing. He publicly made up with the band, and then he wrote and produced a song about the situation seemingly just to keep the attention on himself. He says what he wants, and I don't agree with it or like it, but Matty B is right (like always) in that he's basically just an overall asshole and not just a specific kind of asshole. (I know Besser wasn't calling him an asshole at all, but that's how I feel about him.)

  3. Fascinating stuff but Bess could take a sec to explain what some of the improv insider terminology means. I take it a Harold is a new performer?

The Harold is the signature improv form that iO and UCB do. It's what layed the groundwork for basically all of the long form that we see today. Both theaters have teams that are specifically there to play The Harold on certain nights. As with teams in anything, some are better than others and some teams are very new to playing in front of a crowd so they're a little more raw than a veteran team playing a form that they have created/perfected.

  4. I brought this up in a reddit thread on /r/Earwolf, but it might get more traction here. I think that we should get people to go out and protest outside of U2's concerts for this next tour. We can have signs that say "Where Are Our TShirts?" and chants like "What do we want?" "TSHIRTS" "When do we want them?" "NOW". We can pitch more ideas as the tour comes near. Thoughts? Queries? Suggestions?

  5. Thanks for critiquing my Gmail Roulette theme. Here's my official statement as posted on my Facebook:

Oh wow. A theme song that I wrote, and honestly spent a lot of time on, was featured on this podcast that I love. And while... I mean, yeah they could have been a little nicer, I consider their criticism very constructive and I'm probably a better song writer for it. My song comes on at 12:24 for anybody interested. And again, I worked really REALLY hard on it.

    Thank you for this opportunity

  6. I was fortunate enough to eavesdrop on Sean's one man show (Val Kilmer cut me in line and took the last seat so I cut a hole in the roof and listened through that), and his portrayal of an almond was nothing short of breath taking. Not sure if anybody else had a chance to see or hear it, but I just wanted to let everybody know how good it was and that I hate Val Kilmer.
