  1. Ugh, Cameron Tom is one of the hackiest comics around. Her His routines are hot shehorned message comedy garbage that appeals to Buzzfeed demographics.Every time she he tries to convey a message through one of her his far fetched monologues on a VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE it induces pure cringe because, unlike an Aziz Anssari, Billy Crysstal she he fucking bombs at nuance or doing justice to any of her his issues. Her His delivery is clumsy too/. Stop trying to make her him a thing, Scott.

I agree with this. Can we start a change.org petition or something to get Hayes to be a regular fill-in host? It might even be better if he filled in for Kulap when she's out, given his hosting abilities and knowledge of the show. I don't see gender, so I can't think of any reason why that shouldn't be allowed to happen.

You're right. Hayes should fill in for Kulap when she's gone. Then, when Howard is gone, Kulap can fill in for Howard, and Hayes can fill in for Kulap. I think we solved it.

  3. This landmark event in music history has yet to even be mentioned by Pitchfork News. It's times like these that you really find out who your friends are. . . . find out who are your friends (That's better). They can't be happy for the Scotts; they're just seething with jealousy that they didn't land this interview. In Pitchfork's defense, though, they're probably too busy still trying to figure out what Comedy Bang! Bang! is after that uninformed article about Twin Shadow's appearance.

  4. Horatio totally confused what Shelly and Chico do, but not how they sound. Horatio came on as Shelly, and Shelly sounds like a gentle, effeminate SoCal surfer who is ingrained in Hollywood and the back doors of showbiz, whereas Chico sounds like a grizzled, LA rock scene veteran and is writing a rock & roll memoir about the LA music scene.

    Β

Part of this confusion may be because both of these characters are Los Angelenos who know about the in's and out's of the music biz or showbiz, and also that Scott has asked them both for street-specific directions (because it's funny when Horatio does that) at one time or another (although Shelly is technically the one who does that, having worked for a Ferrari dealership).

It also gets confusing because almost all of Horatio's characters have connections to O.J., however tangential. Davy "Chico" Davis is writing a book about the O.J. trial, which he recorded on multiple VHS tapes. Shelly Driftwood got a job at the Porsche-Maserati-Volkswagen dealership by telling the owner that his wife was having sex with an electrician who later died from electrocution installing a hot tub at O.J.’s house. And now, Shelly has also written multiple O.J. books. Joe France’s' Star Graves Tour goes by O.J.’s house in Brentwood once a year on the date O.J. was convicted for stealing his own memorabilia. Barzelona Marriott has a copy of the Inquirer from 1993 that predicted O.J. would have an accomplice when he would commit murder the following year. And so on . . .
