Episode 88 — Mr. Nanny: LIVE!

Most men would be legitimately uncomfortable sleeping next to a transvestite. Especially men obsessed with being in in good public standing like Helmsley. Bottom line: I bought that Sherman would be legitimately offended.

Guest Idea: Worst Idea Of All Time Podcast

Happy Gilmore was a pretty big hit, and arguably the Water Boy, and before that his comedy CD sold pretty well from what I remember. But ya, seems like the poor guy has very little talent.

Episode 24 — Superman III LIVE!

Here's my take on how this movie got to be so horribly convoluted and stupid. Richard Lester the director of this was riding high on his success of Superman 2, his wild fantasies of creating a zany comedy were running wild in his head and felt like he needed to top specifically the comedy of Superman 2 going from silly and kinda fun to absurd and stupid. I bet the guy was a fan of the 3 stooges and slapstick in general. Anyway it seemed like Lester was determined to make it his movie regardless of any effort the screenwriters put into the screenplay to make it even remotely resemble the comic book version. I'm betting that the writers kinda tried to loosely use stories or at least ideas from the comic plots based on the rumors I've heard about it originally being a Brainiac story and Mr Myxtlypx ( sorry, spelling) but Lester just wanted to do a wacky cartoon esque comedy. I can see his logic being that comicbooks are for kids thus they are like cartoons so they need to be full of cheap 1 off gags and stunts ala Wiley Coyote. So instead of working with what the writers gave him, he chose to work around it and just kinda have it filling in the gaps in between jokes. I don't know if Lester was involved in the casting but if he was I bet his mindset was" Who is the funniest most popular comedian right now that we can afford to star in this?" and "who cares if he can even act, the lines are just laughing fodder." So instead of incorporating actual Superman villains and exploring their character he just basically replaced them with boring stereotyped no name antagonists and said to hell with their backstory. So we not only have these villains whose motivations make no sense, we also have a premise that is devoid of purpose and meaning. So instead of asking for a rewrite of the script to include his version of the characters Lester instead chose to just keep those plot lines even though they now make no sense and continue with his agenda of on screen shenanigans. It seems like Lester didnt know and worse didnt give a damn about who Superman is, what he's capable of or even featuring him in the movie, Superman was just his gimmick with which to sell his weird comedy despite it containing dark adult themes from the original drafts. It's ironic that there was 2 version of Superman in this movie because it's almost like 2 completely seperate movies 1. an oddball comedy about city life 2. A dark Superman tragedy. Thus we have the worst Super hero movie of all time. (excluding maybe Howard the Duck)

    Did you see Ghost Shark?

OMG Ghost Shark.... This tops the freakin charts in hilarious absurdity. It blows Sharknado out of the fuckin water.
  6. At the top of the list of movies this podcast needs to do is.... Zookeeper. Good lord is this a terrrrible movie. What an utter abomination. Kevin James is the essence of stupidity in movies. Intentionally a dumb character? it doesn't matter. The movie HAD to of been written by a 4 year old with a made up adult name. There's no way in the 7 layers of hell that an adult with a functioning brain could have written this. Kevin James, boy you really outdid yourself with this 1, and not just him there is a slew of actors in this movie that are notorious for having awful films. Still it boggles my mind how incredibly senseless and embarrassing this i movie is. So much that i have to dedicate an entire thread to it.

Episode 88 — Mr. Nanny: LIVE!

I think that was an obvious juxtaposition made intentionally by the writer/director, but that would prob be giving the developers too much credit. on a bizarre side note,I'd love to see Hulk's character and Mother love get married or at least get caught bumpin uglies. Would that not be horrendous / hilarious?

I saw something new the last time I watched Honey, I shrunk the kids

I think that arc is more about acceptance and tolerance rather than actually having anything to do with smoking. What else could they choose that was a vice? drinking, i suppose, but i dont feel like the move was supporting or advocating cigarettes nearly as much as saying "Hey stop arguing and resenting each other about those petty irritations (such as a smoking habit) and be thankful that you have a family." everyone has their coping mechanisms. The Dad prob realized he doesn't need to smoke and that he shouldn't worry so much about his son not becoming the apple of his eye, but rather let his son find his own path.

Episode 86 — Ernest Goes To Jail

Ernest vs Godzilla 3. Ernest meets the muppets How would you pitch these ideas as if your life depended on getting the movie made?
