Extremely accurate, except of course Obscene Wizard which certainly needs to be made now. The deck they were playing with is actually one that was somewhat relevant for a while. There was a few small smudged details. First of all, they said they had it for about ten years, which doesn't exactly add up with Progentius as the set it was released in was in 2009. However, there has been a number of Pattern of Rebirth-style decks, including its much more played older brother, Natural Order. Secondly, while the deck was certainly Type 1 legal(Also called Vintage), it would certainly have trouble competing against other decks in that format as they are all extremely high powered. Like gaining infinite turns on turns 1-2 or just outright winning with Force of Will back up. It's more a tier 2 legacy(Type 1.5) deck now. Additionally, most pro players play Standard(Type 2) or Legacy as Vintage lacks a lot of player base and tournament support. Also Damien Forceright sounds alot like Aaron Forsythe who is a former pro player and the current director of Magic: The Gathering. However, he is a man and not a fat short haired woman(who I find myself powerfully attracted to). Mechanically, the turn-by-turn at the beginning was perfect and hilariously done with the Plains, pass turn on turn 3. That is pitch perfect comedic timing translated into MTG. Fetching the Savanna was extremely legit. Despite the itty-bitty details that they got wrong, it still showed a lot of attention to getting it right and the attitudes of both players were incredibly familiar with a majority of the player base. Waaaaay more authentic than the South Park episode, which was also extremely good. By far my favorite part was their early exchange. Rick: I'm a casual player. Damien: Sorry to hear that. THEY FUCKING NAILED THAT. Not that I agree with that sentiment, but its one that dominates the perception of like... 99% of the players you'd meet at Star City Opens or Pro Tour Qualifiers. Classy as hell over all. C+ to use the CBB scale of quality.

By recommendation from Greggy, I have come here from Episode 1521 of Never Not Funny, which happened to be my first NNF. This episode ties in a lot with my first impressions of NNF and my early perception of the always-very-funny Jimmy Pardo. In the more recent one I heard, I assumed the aggressive tone Jimmy was taking was mostly a combination of comfort established in being on his home turf and having the all-star, tip-top 1# podcast guest Paul F. Tompkins as a guest. More or less a bit, but with some genuine bite to it.(A bit has got to have bite!). However, rage and aggressiveness plays a huge part in the proceedings of this episode by another gentleman whom I've always seen as a very kind and sweetly earnest dude, Todd Glass. It's a topic throughout the episode--- The anecdote about the guy 'laying on the horn', the complaint about the noise, Todd's spectacular Naturebox ad, the seemingly usual belting that Eliot gets, and even a very blunt discussion about getting upset and kindness. It would appear if there was any episode to better tackle this topic of 'angry' Pardo, this is it. Regardless of intent, all those segments form a conversation about anger, each approaching it from different perspectives. The story and empathizing with the gridlocked driver while demonizing the horn honker highlights how petty these outbursts of rage can be, while conversely, when the podcast gets snipped and stopped concerning the compliant about the noise, they're understanding and somewhat apologetic. Todd's naturebox ad reels into the comedic nature of being critically upset and how funny it can be while later their ribbing at Eliot sanctions this kind of attitude as 'busting balls'. I'm probably not the only one who has been surprised to find that the ever-cordial Jimmy Pardo has some aggression and can be quick(and incredibly proficient) at calling out someone as a jerk. He's not always nice, nor is the human incarnation of sunshine that is Todd Glass. They're both incredibly passionate performers and that's really their weapon as entertainers. However, this means when they feel upset, its not always able to be ignored or censored for the sake of being kind. In the same accord, that doesn't always mean they're going to be brutally honest because they feel obligated to, especially when it might be unnecessary. It's impossible to be kind all the time and sometimes being angry can be funny. It's because we all can relate to it and sometimes its a very valid way to feel and express yourself. No two humans better illustrate this than Jimmy Pardo and Todd Glass in this episode save for Morrissey who sums this up very eloquently: "It's so easy to laugh It's so easy to hate It takes strength to be gentle and kind" So. Now where to? I'll take a recommendation for any podcast, any episode.

Going With Greggy's this time due to my immense thirst for Todd Glass's voice these days and my hunger for Naturebox. Yummy yummy Naturebox. Super excited. Loco_por_los_Cornballs's input has been noted and will assuredly influence future destinations. That Kulap epy sounds like it'd have some juice to it as I was a big, very large fan of the early Whooch with Pardo. Now speaking of Pardo and this, my first episode of titan of a podcast, Never Not Funny: 1. Jimmy seems very angry in this episode compared to how I've received him so far. Of the many appearances he's had around the circuit, he's always seemed like this indomitable spirit of positivity and professional competency as an entertainer. I have to admit though, the word 'Jerk' was likely phonetically crafted just for Pardo to exclaim. There is a vigor and certainty that he makes these declarations that is irreproachable. 2. The format certainly feels like the old guard of radio talk but evolved along with the medium of podcasting. Its a perfectly crafted amalgam even if the Mic on PFT was kinda rough in patches. There's a warmth to this fusion and its avatar Jimmy Pardo. If quality audio broadcasting was a torch to be passed, Never Not Funny has always seemed like it was hoisted as the heroic marathon runner of our day. 3. The pacing seemed really casual but would spike into really hilarious bits when they finally picked a beat. There was chemistry and comfort bleeding through that was hypnotic to follow along with. Audible opium. Two hours of fun for sure. Alright! NOW TO 1420! I WONDER IF 420 HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH ITS PROCEEDINGS

This is my first episode. Where to next, old guard?

Strongest start of any episode in its entire run and it was a best-of episode. Outstanding. This coming year is going to be out of control. This show has lost zero steam. Its unbelievable.

When I originally heard that Ms. Lapkus was doing a podcast, I assumed it was just going to be Traci Reardon. Personally I'm a huge fan of her humor and her canon. I know a lot of you fancy city folk with your two legs and your cellphones may not care for the young Baskin Robbins employee, but gosh darn-it I am a huge fan and the constant inclusion of Reardon's segment has a been a huge boon to me enjoyment of this serious. I do agree that Skip Hardaway was extremely Leykis-y, but was much easier on the ears than Adomian's version for me. Overall, a very fun episode! I was loudly snickering throughout!

Nick and Claudia were unbelievable in that segment. That's like Olympic-level improv. It basically changed my life.

For a second I thought that quote on the window was citing LeVar Burton. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least.

In a world of oppressively awesome podcasts, WSGLL is rising to become the Ur-Queen of all comedy via sound. Our collective prison cell is the resulting laughter. I pray that we are never freed from it.

Coping with the singular "That's a good song" has been difficult. Today's triple was out of control. If we can go from one to three, what's not to say we could go to three to five, or even seven? This was a game changer. My excitement for the future has been restored and redoubled. The rest of the podcast was as equally mindblowing. It reminds me of the nights my frisky feline friends would find a new space drug and invite all of us over to try it. When you got a high caliber substance like Tears for Fears in your studio, who do you call but your best two buddies to imbibe. Those were three serious fanboys all nerding out to the max. PFT's nearly constant snickering in the background seemed hilariously uncontrollable. Reggie really going for it and expressing some pretty profound favor in their work was genuinely heartwarming. Choctaw even out right demanded more albums from ToF. Love and comedy won today. Hyped for the Eric Andre #ccbtv episode too!
