They're talking about Father John Misty. He stated on many podcasts that he was working on a podcast all about pizza:

Â
Hilarious timing as well, because he just got attention yesterday for giving his "eloquent" thoughts on Comey while eating pizza... singing the line "James Comey was fired in the month of May / James Comey was fired from the CIA..." Tillman later Tweeted "CIA rhymes..." probably when someone told him Comey was fired from the FBI. Because nothing rhymes with "I," right?
Â
Also hilarious timing, given Jon Daly's character on CBB this week (Papa Johns Misty).

So you're saying this episode is great?

THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT!

Rhea and I had a disturbingly similar upbringing music-wise. I guess now I'm that weird kind of fan who really thinks we would be friends.

Between Jarles, Victory/Tiny/Willy, and Frank, this episode might have required the greatest combined vocal effort ever.
Â
It would have been truly complete if Dabney Coleperson made an appearance (I would have loved to see caricatures of everyone in the studio for the ep!)

I would argue that a cheeseburger is maybe more than just a sandwich, but is still definitely a sandwich.
Â
I agree that it is definitely a sandwich. I think of it this way ... think about any burger place's menu. If you swap out the beef patty for a chicken patty, it becomes a "chicken sandwich." I think that if we did not have the name "hamburger," it would be called like a "ground beef sandwich" or something like that.
Â
Ipso facto, hamburger sandwich!

Maybe it's just me, but for me, but Kether Donohue has a very similar voice to Sarah Silverman.

Did not disappoint, best ep of the year so far
Â
Listening again to make sure, but I think you are right.

Wow she has a fantastic voice, looking forward to listening to the rest of this
Â
Â
Agreed. I'll be listening through some of her albums after the episode is over for sure. Thanks for the introduction, Matty B!

Brendon Small does a killer Andy Dick impression.

The longer this episode ran, the less I liked the caller. Am I alone?
Â
He definitely said some things that I disagreed with, but this ep was fairly motivational in its own weird way.

Gabrus, killing it as always!

That's a good name.

That is a good name!

Dr. Frasier Boss! Forgot about that one - anyone remember what ep that referenced?
-
Great episode again. Really opened with a bang.
Â
Was wary of the concept of this show, but every episode has been great. Looking forward to more.
Â
Totally agree. I wonder how many duds Chris has to talk to for each episode good enough to release.
-
I don't know if the intro monologue was especially good today, or if I just love how much JV enjoyed it.

Fascinating episode.

I was a bit apprehensive about this show, but Chris is great and with the plug from Matty B I decided to give it a shot. Holy smokes, that hour had me feeling a lot of stuff. Very engaging, insightful, and entertaining. Will be listening again.

If PFT is the king of off-mic laughter, Janet Varney is the queen.
Â
1 word into the monologue and I'm already happy to hear Ms. Varney.
