    The Club (1994)

To use a tired cliche, I don't want to really tell you about 1994's "The Club" - it's best that you experience it for yourself. But here's the synopsis from IMDB: Time stops at midnight at the Senior Prom for five students, one murderous counselor, and John. They must find the courage to face themselves or, when time starts again, they may find that they are joining John's Club. All you have to do is commit murder... or suicide. I found this movie cruising Netflix, so it's available there, and boy am I glad I did. Do you want to see the future Executive Producer of Fringe doing an insane impression of Beetlejuice/Jack Nicholson/Ben Stiller as Tom Cruise? How about Scut Farkus from "A Christmas Story" turning into a demon mid-coitus? Also featuring Sons of Anarchy's Kim Coates in a tour-de-force performance and a plot that makes little to no sense. You may be thinking that it sounds like a typical 90s teen horror flick. But trust me, it is so much more. It's a strange brew of trying to be seriously scary but also funny... but fails on both levels. Here's the trailer. I think this movie would be absolutely awesome for HDTGM.

    Inside Man

I nominate Inside Man. It is heralded as a great movie but if you pay attention, it makes absolutely no sense. The dialogue is hilariously bad and it is filled with racial commentary that eventually goes NOWHERE. It seems spike lee, after every line of dialogue, was just like, "Can we make that line about race?… Okay rewrite it." This movie is not good.
  3. https://soundcloud.c...second-opinions I made a Second Opinions theme, and I hope it's alright that I post it here. If not, please point me in the right direction.

    The Touch (2002)

Starring Michelle Yeoh Recently watched this on Netflix. I just, have so little words. It was awesome and awesomely bad. Violent and glorious but so, so crappy. My mind exploded a few times watching this. And tbh, I gave it four stars. I definitely bought in wholeheartedly into this movie, and had a fun time watching it. Though I'm still very, very confused about what I watched. Loved it.

Buffy Podcast - Make it Happen

Look jerks, The new HDTGM spinoff podcast looks totally good. Will listen to. However, I can't say that I wasn't devastated that the announcement of a new podcast was not an episode by episode talk through of Buffy. If the forum could all band together to annoy these guys enough until they make this podcast, that would be great.
  6. Here's my submission for a Second Opinions theme song, preferably for the Christmas episode but any other really (just think it would be cool for Xmas). It's made of love and cheesy music tropes! Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/chrischristodouloumusic/five-stars/s-SNoeP
  7. Hello, people of Earth! Now available for pre-order in the Earwolf Store, celebrate one of HDTGM's finest moments—and June Diane Raphael's boundless curiosity—with the What Exactly is a Street Fighter? t-shirt. Shirt modeled by Earwolf booker and champion street fighter Ele Woods. Relive the magic today! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j72-Dsdv96k
  8. The Adventures of Food Boy takes a different approach to the superhero genre. The story centers around a teenage boy who discovers he has the superpower to generate food out of his hands.

    Pulled episodes, HDTGM

As I was listening to several old episodes of HDTGM I noticed the Green Lantern episode (14) was missing. I couldn't find any messages regarding why episode 14 is not available. Will someone at Earwolf help me understand what's going on? This is the second episode to be removed (episode 16 - Smurfs, being the first by "reasonable request") and it's making me concerned that this occurrence may become frequent, which would be disappointing and off-putting. I hope to receive a reply soon. Thank you.
  10. I heard a rumor, but I can't find any info on tickets or location!

  12. Larry Mullen Jr. was in a heist film? with Donald Sutherland? Has anyone seen it? Think this needs to be covered in either utu2tm or hdtgm. Link to the trailer http://youtu.be/HxkWxSo_09M
  13. It takes a "The Village" to ruin M. Night Shyamalan's career.
  14. Did you know one of fall's best romantic comedies is named after ChristianMingle.com? ChristianMingle is a love story with some serious soul. Watch the trailer and see why! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWahCUaWhYk This movie seems like it was MADE for the show.

    Lucy (2014)

Okay let me start by saying fuck the talks about having an episode on Limitless, because this movie is 10 times as batshit insane. From using Oliver Stone-style cuts to random things like natural disasters and animals fucking to there being almost ZERO plot, this movie would be perfect for the show. I also don't know what they told Scarlet Johansen to do in order to prep for the role, but she comes off has having a mental disorder after ingesting the drug with her role in Her showing more emotional range. What's funnier is the fact this movie is sold on the idea of a person having access to 100% of their brain, but in reality humans DO use 100% of their brain, just not all at the same time. I assume if a person did use 100% of their brain all at once it would look something like this.
  16. How has this movie not been suggested yet? For your consideration, a Howard Hughes produced film about one of the greatest empires ever, starring no of any relation to said empire. If you're wondering if this was filmed down wind of a nuclear test site that gave dozens of people cancer, it was. Hughes felt guilty about this and bought the rights of the film and the film was not released until after his death when Universal purchased the rights.

    Little Monsters (1989)

parts of this movie scared the shit out of me as a kid. some still do, actually. seems perfect for a HDTGM episode. Starring: Fred Savage, Ben Savage, Howie Mandel, Daniel Stern.

    Cube 2: Hypercube

    Rage (2014)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVgxje9I-B0 The long awaited return of Crazy Nick Cage. You guys have let him toil in the shadows long enough. Come July 11th, its time to take it back to where it all (sort of) started.

    Troop Beverly Hills (1989)

Lets face it. Shelley Long taking over her daughters Beverly Hill's girl scout (or whatever) troop only to show them the merits of being a housewife is GARBAGE. Who thought this would be a good movie? I remember this movie playing on tv in the 90's when I was a kid and thinking it was terrible even then.
  21. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton are Hansel and Gretel, all grown up and now they hunt witches in the late 1700s? Early 1800s? I'm not sure, All of the clothing and architecture is around the turn of the 18th century but Hansel uses a pump action shotgun, and a one point someone shoots a 50cal Gatling gun. Oh and Hansel has steam punk Diabetes.
  22. I haven't seen this one since I was real little but one of you during this episode were making fun of Joan Cusack's response to Robin Williams's smoking suit with "That's funny." I was at work yesterday when I had an epiphony. I had heard that similar line before but in a different film, which one of you mentioned in the podcast: Good Morning Vietnam. Check out the scene here: Next-level bonkers. Sorry, not a correction or ommission but I HAD to bring this up.
  23. Are you guys going to continue to do the sequels to past films done on the podcast? "The Smurfs 2" and "Birdemic 2" come to mind

    New Years Eve

This movie is 2 hours of star studded garbage. There's an elevator musical number by Lea Michele in a movie that is not a musical. I mean, if that's not enough to do this movie, I don't know what is.
