    Killing Season (2013)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mieKajcWDk starting: Robert De Niro, John Travolta I think when John Travoita dies his family should donate his hair to a museum. wow what a great russion accent. I think we've got our next Travolta movie to do.
  2. BreakingCurfew

    Omission: Fast/Furious 6!

Sadly, I don't think Jason Stathem will be in "Fast 7" as Chev Chelios. According to imdb trivia: The post-credits sequence is Han's death from "Tokyo Drift", while using new footage to introduce Ian Shaw. It sounds like Stathem will be "Ian Shaw" in Fast 7 avenging Luke Evan's Fast 6 bad guy "Shaw". . . perhaps they're brothers? Remember: you don't turn your back on your family.
  3. When I reflect on my life I know thing is true above all others, a pig ejaculates for 30 minutes.
  4. Hello People of Earth and welcome to How Did this Get Made the podcast where we try and make sense of the movies that make no sense, I am joined as always by Jason Mantzoukas and June Diane Raphael.
  5. TaylorSCole

    Omission: Street Fighter

June's comment about how die hard was a great movie "from a story standpoint" is completely true, but none of that credit belongs to Steven Desouza. Die Hard is based on the novel "Nothing Lasts Forever" by Roderick Thorpe.
  6. I have an idea! Taking our already-existing pool of bad movie recommendations and narrowing them down to some kind of Top 10, Top 5 Also a #1 Only problem is that I suck at math and/or tournament formulas. Anyone know how to do this kind of thing? I'm guessing everyone starts by putting down their 10 picks yes? Then some OCD nerd among us makes a list and we narrow down etc etc? I'm going with: Return to Sleepaway Camp Sleepwalkers John Carpenters Vampires A Talking Cat?! Miami Connection To Catch a Yeti Star Wars Holiday Special because I don't think Lucas can sue anymore Superman 4 (the one with Pillow-Man) Kiss meets The Phantom of the Park Dreamcatcher Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star This is from the recommendations we have already. Again, sorry I don't know how to compile and do tournament stuff so someone smart needs to help please.
  7. A cinephile latchkey kid obtains a magical movie ticket which transports him into an action movie. There he comes face to face with Arnold Schwarzenegger, his favorite action hero. Halfway through the film, the movie world leaks out into the real world and the fictional character Arnold Schwarzenegger plays has to figure out how to defeat an over the top movie style villain, but with real world rules. This movie involves Danny Devito as an animated cat, Arnold Schwarzenegger playing himself, a trip to a Blockbuster store and Arnold Schwarzenegger having a full-on Buzz Lightyear-esque existential crisis. It's not really a bad movie, but it's definitely ridiculous. Also, it appears you can watch this movie on youtube.
  8. Like the first mannequin, but this time with Kristy Swanson as a cursed peasant girl who is turned into a mannequin when wearing an enchanted necklace. Highlights: The flamboyant character Hollywood gets turned into a mannequin at one point. The guy in it tries to cook hot dogs in a toaster. The mom from Mad About You playing double duty as a modern day mom and an evil queen. Ends with a Jefferson Starship song. At one point the mannequin chick teaches a whole club full of people to do a courtly dance. I loved this movie when I was a kid because it had what I thought was a princess in a spandex dress and I always wanted to be a hot princess in a spandex dress. This movie's a weird mess.
  9. This classic Mark Wahlberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christina Applegate vehicle is an ideal candidate for the How Did This Get Made treatment. It is hilariously bad, with all kinds of inexplicable writing, directing, and acting choices. It also has a reasonable amount of star power. Perhaps most importantly, despite how terrible it is, it's actually quite entertaining to watch. The Big Hit is a perfect candidate for Paul, Jason, and June Diane to send up. Hell, even if they aren't going to do it, go see it anyways. It's amazing. The trailer can be found here:
  10. Not a correction or an omission per se, but I don't think enough attention has been paid to how upsetting this movie truly was. I watched it late in the evening and went to bed immediately after. What followed was a series of horrifying dinner table-set nightmares that ran through my brain like a condiment-filled Lionel Train on its fastest setting. I can't pinpoint exactly why my reaction to this was so visceral compared to any of the other movies featured on HDTGM, but it is easily one of the most deeply unsettling movies I've ever seen.

    Simon Sez (1999)

Alright, This one Is the reason I joined this forum. Love the podcast, and I think this is pure gold. It's a 90's action comedy ( red flag) with Dane Cook ( red flag) and Dennis Rodman ( red flag!). Cook tries and fails to be Jim Carrey and Dennis Rodman has all the charisma of a piece of parquet, and it's got a villain that seems to be a rejected version of Buster Bluth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjJEBQCLbZ8&at=87 What do you guys think? Also, the Dane Cook raptor scene starts at 1:27

    Crossroads

Another bad pop star movie. 14% on Rotten Tomatoes
  13. No you didn't dream this movie, it actually exists. The Peanut Butter solution is a "family comedy" that scared the shit out of anyone who watched it in the 80s. And that's not just because the entire soundtrack consists of songs by an up-and-coming singer called Celine Dion. Michael loses his hair in a fright at a haunted house, then ghosts tell him to restore his hair with peanut butter. Now the hair won't stop growing. Michael's small asian friend decides to put the peanut butter solution on his balls, family fun ensues. A creepy art teacher then kidnaps Michael to make magic paintbrushes from his hair. Meanwhile, Michael's mother takes off to Australia so his sister takes over the role of mother, dealing with the father's issues and wearing the mother's clothes and shoes. FOR NO REASON. Holy crap I'm going to have nightmares tonight just from writing this. See the trailer here, but don't believe the happiness: http://jezebel.com/5...ilm-of-all-time Watch the full film here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2798924676514781836 Did anyone else have their childhood ruined by this film? It's ok, this is a safe place
  14. http://www.rottentom...ause_i_said_so/ Non stop Diane Keaton slapstick. An embarrassing and regretful performance punctuated with a few musical numbers! Mandy Moore has never been less likable, nor the men she dates more forgettable. I only saw the last hour or so of this movie and I saw three cakes get comically destroyed.
  15. I'm a big fan of Paul F. Tompkins' Ice-T impression and I remember on one of the early episodes of Comedy Death Ray, he was plugging a movie, as Ice-T, called Tommy and the Cool Mule. All this time I thought it was a joke and then yesterday I stumbled across this: Tommy and the Cool Mule (2009): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1273228/ Now I haven't watched this movie yet but, I did watch the trailer and if that is any indication this is amazingly terrible. I told a friend about it and he swore the trailer was fake. He then thought it had to be a parody. He checked imdb and read me some user reviews and after one reviewer said "I am curious how something like this gets made." I knew I had to suggest this movie to you. Bonus: you could have "Ice-T" as the guest! Additional Bonus: the villain is Kevin Sorbo (Hercules)!
  16. The movie is based on a video game that lets you adjust the jigglyness of womens boobs. DOA is up there with Mario brothers in crap movies. And the last 15 - 20 minutes is freaking nuts

    Vampire's Kiss (1988)

This movie is amazing and if you want ridiculous cage you have to see this one. Here's the trailer
  18. JesseGomez

    Troll 2 (1990)

It had a documentary entitled "Best/Worst Movie" directed by the child star of this confusing cult classic. Endless fodder for Paul, June, Jason and guest.
