Correction and omissions: Old Faithful and more...

Recommended Posts

There was so much of this movie to laugh at, and you guys did an excellent job. Glad you switched things up to give this masterpiece of cinema the HDTGM treatment.

Just a few observations.

Correction:

At one point someone referred to the line where Nova says "it's like Old Faithful" and they thought she was talking about the sharknado. I am pretty sure she was talking about the wall of water rushing over the road and the fact that it had a timing to it. Then I believe it is Ian Zerling that says "we're going to need faith", talking about getting by Old Faithful.

Paul said that they had stock footage of Haiti. I am pretty sure it was stock footage from Hurricane Sandy and/or Katrina, judging by the license plates.

Omissions:

In Tara Reed's house there was a lot of water inside. When they exit the house, presumably through the door, the driveway has no water in it. Ian Zerling then inexplicably emerges from a bush right next to them in the driveway, a shark breaks out of the front door followed by a large gush of water. So if they got out of the house through the door, how did the water not rush out of the house with them? Better yet, how was the house flooded in the first place if the area outside of it is not flooded? And that time of the month? Holy shit that was a great line!

At the old folks' home in the pool, when the sharks first land in the pool there is an old man in the pool and an old woman on the side. The man actually pulls the woman into the pool with him. He didn't want to die alone I guess. Also, can we get Mythbusters on that pool explosion? How did that happen from one can of gas? Wouldn't there just have been fire on top of he water, at most?

At the Chinese Theater when the shark lands on the star in front, it leaves a shark outline imprint in the ground.

Question:

Was the opening scene only in the movie to set up the fact that there was a pod of 20,000 sharks that was being driven towards land by the storm? At that point I don't know if it was a fully-formed hurricane or if that was the beginning of the hurricane. If it was the formation, would it have been a sharkicane seeing as it formed while picking up sharks? Because I find it hard to believe that the sharknado that ate the fishermen was one of the three that were around at the end of the movie.

Keep up the great work.
