JulyDiaz 2797 Posted April 16, 2014 It's Wednesday, which means it's time for the best part of everyone's week, a new episode of WHO CHARTED is here with your host HowHow, and special guest host, and spa professional, Natasha Leggero! The star of THE Guiding Light and overall good person, Jeff Hiller joins them to break down this week's Hottest Country Songs and the Top Movie Charts. Tune in to hear Natasha sing her own Country ballad (non auto-tune of course), discuss the pitfalls of HDTV, and the biz of being a Butt Double. Plus Jeff reveals his favorite Summah activity, discuses his stay on BroadWAY, and makes everyone feel bad by talking about his time with the Denver Gutter Rats. Now, go watch Pornoculus! And_By_Record 23 Posted April 16, 2014 Y'all. I'm confused. Howard said it was Alice Wetterlund ahh-ing and yeah-ing over the tweet chart theme, but I thought I remembered that he asked Mary Elizabeth Ellis to do it in her episode? Anyway, I love all the guest hosts. It makes me feel like I'm betraying Kulap but Emily, Natasha and April are just great. 1 Share this post Link to post
MattCampbell 5 Posted April 16, 2014 I can't tell if the NYC hate is real or a work. Complaining about biking lanes in the city? Isn't that something Howard would ship 100%? He's the guy who was suggesting having no SUV's allowed in LA or whatever. Share this post Link to post
gillz 2 Posted April 16, 2014 I made a Howard blog cause I'm a dork and goof off at work. Check it out if you want, or not because there's not much on there yet. http://hknumber1fan.tumblr.com/ Great episode. 2 Share this post Link to post
EdwardEdward 3 Posted April 16, 2014 I can't agree with them more about pop-country being music for people who don't like music. 2 Share this post Link to post

SoundsLikeMLo 30 Posted April 16, 2014 See, what Natasha needs to do with her HDTV is set the refresh rate to 60hz from the factory settings of 120hz or higher. Those faster refresh rates make everything look like it initially aired on the BBC in the late 1980s. Another good episode - always nice to hear Natasha's laugh, once dubbed by the late Greg Giraldo as "the vuvuzela of comedy." Share this post Link to post
JShutYourFace 7 Posted April 16, 2014 My boyfriend's favorite movies are super hero/sci-fi...I hate them and now I finally have a way to express it. I don't like those "make em ups." It really is perfect. Share this post Link to post
rararachel 190 Posted April 16, 2014 I live in NYC and I am fighting back. Down with LA! It's characterless and impersonal! 1 Share this post Link to post
klemjohansen 748 Posted April 16, 2014 Natasha's TV probably has Tru-Motion turned on by default so it's frame-blending and makes movies look like shitty TV. Turn it off and your TV will suck at least 15% less. Share this post Link to post
RickSchmittJr 166 Posted April 16, 2014 I was one of Kulap's biggest fans back when this started, but I must admit that the guest host shows lately have me wishing Howard worked with a revolving door of female guest hosts. Kulap pushes the show along far too quickly nowadays to the point of it seeming hurried all the time. These guest host eps call back old eps of Whooch when Howard was able to just talk with the guests, without being hurried through the charts. For a few months now I've been commenting on how short and canned the shows seem, but now over the past month I've been absolutely loving Whooch and Twooch again. It just seems like Ku's head isn't in it anymore. Here's to more hilarious and "deeper" Whooch eps in the future. 1 Share this post Link to post

Kickpuncher 5012 Posted April 17, 2014 Y'all. I'm confused. Howard said it was Alice Wetterlund ahh-ing and yeah-ing over the tweet chart theme, but I thought I remembered that he asked Mary Elizabeth Ellis to do it in her episode? Yep, I said the same thing in last week's thread. This is the third straight week where he's said it! I hope Ku sets the record straight when she gets back. Anyway, really fun episode. Jeff is always great on I4H, and this is the only other exposure I've had to him; it's nice to go a bit off the beaten path of frequent podcast guests sometimes. Natasha's sense of humor is a perfect fit on Whooch. 1 Share this post Link to post
lherman 35 Posted April 17, 2014 So am I the first to notice that Natasha referred to the tweeter "Bruce Wayne" as spelled different from the Incredible Hulk? That was on par with last week's "fonzie bear"-gate! Share this post Link to post
cmac94 191 Posted April 17, 2014 Natasha Leggero's laugh is what keeps me going in life. I hope she'll be back for next week if Ku is still gone. Share this post Link to post

This is the third straight week where he's said it! I hope Ku sets the record straight when she gets back. I didn't even notice the first time Howard said it. But the next time I thought, "wait, that sounds like Kulap, right?" So I went back and found the point where it was created in the Mary Elizabeth Ellis Day episode. Now with him making special mention of it EVERY time and getting it wrong, it's annoying. Has Howard already forgotten the sound of Laps Vilay's voice? I was one of Kulap's biggest fans back when this started, but I must admit that the guest host shows lately have me wishing Howard worked with a revolving door of female guest hosts. Sometimes Kulap's "energy" gets to me and I'll switch to another podcast before getting back to Who'ch'. I know Earwolf's a busy and place and there's a schedule to keep and all, but slowing it down a notch would go a long way to making the show more enjoyable. Which is why I liked this episode so much. Natasha's more laid-back style is a nice complement to Wie Wie. Share this post Link to post

KajusX 1807 Posted April 17, 2014 This made me guffaw: RIO 2: "We're not people, we're birds! We have to get out in the wild and be birds!-" HOWARD: "JUST BE humans that need to go out somewhere! Like, you know? Stop personifying it! I mean-" NATASHA: "Oh, but the JOKES in these cartoons, how 'bout 'em?" (and that Andy Dick Four Quadrants joke? Joan Rivers better watch her back. How-How's coming for her comedy stylings lol) 2 Share this post Link to post

Hopefully it's just that Ku is pretty darn busy right now what with moving/buying a new place/making a documentary/reconnecting with her estranged family. And NOT that she's no longer into the show. Which I doubt, you can tell how much she enjoy's wiewie's weekly company. 1 Share this post Link to post

Every television manufacturer calls it something else, pass that on to Natty Legs and she'll know what to disable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_interpolation#Names_of_motion_enhancement_technologies Share this post Link to post

If they move along quickly, I'd bet that has more to do with time management at Earwolf than with Kulap's committment. She opens up so much on Whooch and Twooch, shares with chartists, and really gives a lot of herself on this program. I'm sure they created Twooch because they didn't have enough time on Whooch to just gab and go off on tagents. Also I've been relistening to old episodes and in the early days of Whooch, Howard was the one who moved the show along, sometimes cutting Kulap and the guest off mid-sentence. Ye old days of Howard Kremer, task master. See episodes 3-6 for some examples. Share this post Link to post

She's good at challenging him when he goes on tangents (e.g., 'makeemups'). She's basically a fountain of positivity when he starts going anti. 2 Share this post Link to post
