Recommended Posts

Randy and Jason kick off the show with an update on Jose Canseco, his poker career, and his most recent live tweets. As well as, an in depth explanation of what kind of family goes bowling, only to end up in a brawl that costs a father his ear. Then the Sklars are joined by John Cho, who gives great insight into what it's like to be part of a major cultural phenomenon, in Harold and Kumar, only to then transition into a commercial blockbuster, in Star Trek. Then, the gang waxes poetically over the most valuable aspect of sports, it's lack of subjectivity. Lastly, tiger Woods drops by to unveil his brand new sports, sushi, and pizza restaurant, "The Woods Jupiter Sports and Dining Club and Experience Extravaganza and Buffet."

At the Majestic Star Casino's VIP poker room, in beautiful Gary, Indiana, if your shot off, yet loosely attached finger, falls into the pot... That's a legal bet.

Good episode, John seems cool. Despite the horrible name and questionable premise, Selfie is actually really funny and it's too bad ABC didn't give it more of a chance.

In an update on the update, the Canseco finger story was apparently a hoax - http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/jose-canseco-finger-falling-off-selling-it-on-ebay-was-a-hoax-112014

The pee club is so weird on so many levels.

- Like they said, you can pee anywhere; privacy is a bigger issue than not having a place for your pee, and this doesn't solve that. If something like that were really necessary, it would be so much simpler and better to just have a compartment built into your bag since you could semi-discreetly stand up against the bag and go into it.

- Shouldn't it be a wood rather than an iron, for more volume?

- On a similar note, shouldn't it be a club that isn't commonly used, just to further avoid the chance of a mix-up?

This was just GREAT! I was fascinated by the idea that the Korean culture that his parents remember is gone and only exists in America with those that came over during that time period. That is a fascinating cultural time-capsule idea I've never heard of.

ABC has really bummed me out this year. They had some pretty good shows (Manhattan Love Story was actually pretty funny) that they give terrible names to, change times on constantly, and then do almost no good promotion for. It's infuriating. I can't believe that it is cheaper to cancel a show and stick reruns in its place of something else during a season. In the era of ROKU's and DVR's and all streaming, it seems like you have to let a show get a season under its belt and then see how the numbers are after a season can be accessed in full, Netflix style.

Yep, for all the shit NBC gets, ABC is probably even worse at comedy development. They struck gold with Modern Family and have tried to ride it ever since with failure after failure. The naming thing has become a running joke and they don't seem to have any awareness of it. I think Blackish (yet another very good show with a terrible name) is doing well because they finally picked something good to pair with MF.

I would not watch that show until I heard THE CHAMPS talk about it. I just assumed it was going to be a horrible farce.
