And it's pretty fucking bananas.  This movie posits that the only way the u.s. military can conduct weapons research is to trick nerds into doing it. And good call on Michelle Meyrink (the nerdy love interest), she was 23 when this movie came out and Gabriel Jarett was 15. So yeah, the romantic chemistry there is a little...off.
