Episode 1522 - Scott Aukerman

Recommended Posts

a few weeks back, Jimmy talked about entering a half-marathon. I thought at the time that it might be a good incentive to pledge certain amounts to Smile Train depending on how quickly Jimmy completed the run. (the idea had no traction - so it never came to fruition)

But at a 2:30+ Jimmy would have been on the lower echelon of donations. :)

If somebody would like to pass the idea on to Mr Pardo, with his consent, maybe he could turn his future runs into a pledge system of his choosing.

I'm thinking something along the line of an official sanctioned event, we'll use his chip-time, and for me I'm thinking a sub 2:15 and I'll kick in $50, Sub 2:05 $75...

So Jimmy get your foam-roller out, get your IT band under control, and run for the money.

Sincerely.

LOVE the return of the "look it up" chant.

Holy shit this episode was awesome. Old man lizard may be Jimmy's best character based on the fact that it is uniquely and universally hated by everyone who experiences it.

you have to. maybe the most visual bits of any episode since they joined Earwolf. Matt's wrestling walk was also amazing. So much blank staring at Scott from Jimmy.

In your face, people who say Scott can't do characters, "First Caller" was a masterwork.

Poor Armen... This is gonna break his heart.
He's still trying to form a sentence about how he feels, if his guest host appearances on Whooch are any indication of long it takes him to verbalize a thought.

If Besser had said it, it might have paralyzed him.

I'm glad they talked a little about Empire, not because I watch it, but because I've been calling it "Black Nashville" whenever I see the ads.

Don't forget Dabney, the caricature artist at Six Flags.

Oh see, I thought that was the reason people say Scott can't do characters :P

I really want Armin Weitzman to co-host this show now if Matt ever can't make it in. lol.

Jimmy really needs to listen to the wonderful eps of "Who Charted" where he... uh, "backed up" Kulap in Howard's stead. That was a fantastic week!

Between "Barry Nelson" and "jizm" Scott and Jimmy should hit the psychic circuit

I came here just in the hope that someone else mentioned this. Their psychic connection is a weird one that apparent;y doesn't carry over to Pardo-mid.

And I would love a monthly or twice a month (weekly might be pushing it) podcast where they played Pyramid.

JP's schoolmate Barry Nelson was presumably named with some (maybe only eventual) knowledge of the existence of the actor, and the eventual dressing up like Bond--"Jimmy" Bond, no less, in the Nelson "Casino Royale" tv episode--seems like pretty natural consequence at least once in younger Barry's life...so, since JP was scouring his memory...Jimmy Bond also Woody Allen's character in the psychedelic '60s CASINO ROYALE film, as the Niven Bond's nephew...there are bits of that film which are quite good...then there's the rest of it...

If that Barry Nelson thing had happened to me I would have lost my mind and derailed the podcast. Jimmy's such a pro.
