EPISODE 224.5 — 3/20/15 TWO CHARTED 163

Recommended Posts

Howard and Kulap, as joined by Stard, kick off the show by explaining the origin of fingernails, the advantages of grooming your best friend, and why head coaches are the real stars of March Madness. Then, Howard talks about his big week, wherein he went to Vegas, performed six shows, and watched some things on Netflix. Additionally, the crew talks about the benefits of Viagra, certain spiders that have Viagra-like super powers, and a promise that they will all participate in Soul Cycle. Lastly, Kulap talks about the time she went to the moon; only to find out that she really had done shrooms in Joshua Tree.

I made an attempt at getting the lyrics, but got stuck after the line "Maybe Kim, maybe Jen". Couldn't work out what he says in the line after that.

I highly doubt Kremer is going to watch The Jinx any time in the near future, so is he protecting the audience from spoilers? Or more accurately, himself from angry listeners that are upset at Ku and Stard?

Anyway, next Twooch, Howie needs to take a short walk so the other two can enter in Jinx breakdown. Great stuff.

There's a line or two in each song that seems to be beyond me. I tried 'When This Song's Over' and 'Hot Slob' and there's a couple words in each that I have no clue.

Here's the Jay Marks "How to Act" video. Cartoon Kulap makes me smile.

And here's his other podcast animations:

The Go Bayside one is pretty great. With Jimmy Pardo going off on Screech.

Nails are a distinct feature of primates, not mammals. They're for more precise grabbing, like swinging from tree branches.

Thanks for the shout-out, guys, but much like a certain other JM, I'm not on twitter...

I love that Howard is going deep with the inter-species connection. In honor of that:

Also, Jay M, you hit it out of the park.

Howard was on it with the music during his chart! the first Specials record is one of my absolute favorites...

and for the record, Lora Logic is responsible for the "bad" saxophone in the X-Ray Spex song. I happen to love sax, especially when it's used in punk music... so anyone else who agrees should check out her band Essential Logic.

I love how Jason Mantzoukas is on the airplane waiting area.

The bari sax in the band Morphine is pretty awesome. It works pretty well as a substitute for the guitar.

I would love if Jay Marks did the Brody Stevens segment where he addresses his eyebrows.

Have you seen Brody's series "Enjoy it!" on HBO Go or Comedy Central? I don't remember if there was one like that specifically, but there were a bunch of segments animated over him doing monologues.

I would love if Earwolf hired Jay Marks to do animations on a regular basis. Especially on the Comedy Bang Bang episodes with comedians in character. I'd love to see Traci Reardon or Marissa Wompler or any of the various PFT/Andy Daly characters animated.

Hah, it's funny, after I posted that I was marinating and realized that there was some animated bits that were really well done in Enjoy It! I haven't finished that shamefully, even though I really enjoyed it. I can't recall if there was one specifically about his eyebrows or not...I was just busting up while he was talking about it.

I agree with You LocoPorLosCornballs, he's a tremendous talent and it could potentially beef up the now super inactive Earwolf YouTube channel.
