I was 99.999% certain that Scott would make that "Stop Making Sense" joke, but it didn't stop me from laughing out loud at it. And it was more hopeful than certain, but similar for his one word Woody Allen impression being "Murphy". I guess I'll fall on the sword because I'm sure Scott and Co. give so many fucks, but I'm guessing it's Andy Dick. I'm not sure if it's related to the incident in WV a few years ago or not, and I'm not sure if he had to register regarding that, but he's had a few run-ins with those types of incidents. Yes, I know too much about Andy Dick's WV incident, but it happened near where I grew up, so I was curious enough and semi-followed it through friends. Now, back to the program! be easy on me 330 Posted April 24, 2015 Nick Kroll - I was suggested someone on Twitter, so I clicked on their profile, and apparently their whole Twitter profile is about exposing Nick Kroll and Tig Notaro on various charges. Seemed like the most random shit I've seen on the internet in a while. Kevin Pollak - Went off great. You could tell he was really happy about being on the show. Look forward to seeing the movie, even though the critics are panning it - looks like most of the negativity comes from execution rather than content though, which I think is pretty weak. His work on CBB! and his interview on WTF earlier this week convinced me I'll more than likely really enjoy it though. Seth Morris - I mean, come on... dude is just effortless in being hilarious. AnnieStone 153 Posted April 24, 2015 I woke up this morning and laughed aloud again remembering the Slumber Party segment. I feel like the contrast between the main ep this week and this b-b-b-bonus episode really shows me a lot about what I value in comedy. The Tom Green episode was not for me. I don't have too much to say on that topic, but Tom Green is irreverent, and he likes to throw the energy into uncomfortable places. I get why people enjoy his comedy! (And I liked Road Trip.) It just wasn't for me! I really like how Kevin and Scott played with this sad-sack character Seth Morris specializes in, without being mean-spirited or stealing focus. I really enjoy feeling like they are having fun too. I hope Kevin Pollack comes back sooner than six years from now. There were a handful of references/jokes (the tortured, associational ones Scott excels at--and I love hearing that satisfied, almost nervous vibe in Scott's voice when he does them) that didn't seem to even register with Kevin and were totally destroying me. Pollack fits in nicely as a CBB guest, and I also wouldn't have known about Misery Loves Comedy for months had it not been for this episode. I rented it last night and enjoyed the hell out of it. There was a good range of comedic talent from different eras, the pacing was solid and my eyes almost watered at the dedication with which it closed. I was kind of annoyed checking twitter and seeing the top post associated with the movie was a douchey Wired article telling readers to boycott this movie because there weren't enough women or minorities featured (of which there were several). Sorry to break it to you, Wired, but the majority of successful big-name comics are white men. It's not Pollack's fault, you chodes. Share this post Link to post
Just Add Pepper 2026 Posted April 25, 2015 I watched Misery Loves Company today. It was alright. It could have opened better. The pacing of the first 5 minutes or so felt more like a youtube video that a film festival-worthy documentary. But then they slowed down the pace, got more logical in their progression of topics, and moved towards making a few points. At times it veered away from its own topic and just became "this story was funny, let's include it in the movie", but the breadth of talent that was interviewed was impressive, and it was generally an interesting look into the comedy scene. I'd recommend it to anybody who would describe themselves as a comedy nerd. Share this post Link to post

Also, why can't more Foley artists take wacky liberties with their gun-shot sounds? How many people have actually even heard a gun fired, like a hundred?
