Episode 83 — Nick Kroll, Our Close Friend

Recommended Posts

A lot of mine have already been said, but

The Adam Pally interview was one of the best, any clip of him getting frustrated (or pretending to get frustrated at you guys).

When intern Andy is asking Lauren Lapkus popcorn gallery questions

The interview with Scott Anchorman and Jeff Ulrich was one of the best. Especially the bit with both of the negotiators representing you guys.

Finally every second of both of the Jon Gabrus episodes have been classics.

Oh also engineer Brent trying to do the teaser freezer.

I always recommend people start with episode 1. I really do think it perfectly establishes the tone of the show. So ya gotta include the Don Jon teaser freezer. Legitimately one of my favorite segments of comedy ever. Specifically the moment where they dissect the weird editing choice they made that during the "she caught me watching porn" section.

I'm relistening to the show now, and I think a supercut of Hayes and Sean trying to explain the popcorn gallery would be essential. One of the best running gags. If I could only pick one, I'd have to go with Jordan Morris' PCG. "Agreed, Jordan! Agreed!"

EDIT: RanRan nailed it with the doll thing. Truly one of the most hilarious and clearly unplanned moments of the show.

Not sure if they have been mentioned, don't care so GET OVER IT. Teen Pope with Brian Huskey and Sean's dad shooting the metal bug with a lazer in his backyard while saying "take that" are the funniest shits I've heard.

Hey Sean, one of my favorite things ever done on the podcast was the trilogy of the Cards against humanity ads. here's a video I made awhile back, I think this would be perfect on a best of episode.

I did a thing with that too. It may have even been after yours, but Hayes liked it on the forum soooo....

It's in my signature

In less than 48 hours after the episode came out we're on page 9, and I haven't read anything since the first two posts, can someone catch me up, do we dislike Jacob C now? I really don't feel like reading.

edit: Caught up on everything, between the episode and the forum everyone is killing it this week.

As for top moments, whenever Sean asks about the importance of making a girl cum.

I like when they talk about Chris Hardwick (the points guy. Do you know about this guy? The nerd?)

Sean describing the plot of the girl with the pearl earring ("stolen by a mean crab")

When Sean says he's a "pussy nerd" on the 2nd PFT ep

When Hayes talks to my son on the 2nd call in show

Sean being upset about th cappuccino chips in the bday boys ep

Did nobody mention Dave "the noid" Holmes yet?

I'm not doing time stamps. I don't work for EARWOLF.

I think Jacob C just upped himself (no, that's not slang) to a B-

To catch you up Jakal - Jacob said something and some people got mad and some people didn't care. It was a true whirlywind.

We hate him because he was so needlessly cruel to greggy. But we like him cause he's a pretty cool guy actually.

Sorry I haven't posted since last night, guys. Jacob C really made me reconsider whether I should be a part of this whole thing, but I'm just gonna suck it up and ignore that guy for now.

Top four:

1. Brett doing Teaser Freezer

2. Sean nailing the opening line. This industry we call Sharkbite.

3. Pitching Ellie Kemper pilots.

4. You're Doing It Wrong, By Grove I've Got It

hello team,

if hayzie bone and clem dawg were putting together a "best of" episode, what are some clips or segments that you would want included?

also, no pitch perfect 2 spoilers in this thread, please. hayes is still working his way through the first one. said he only needs "like 4 or 5 or 6 more nights."

I hope this isn't because Scott Anchorman is making you put together a reel as part of your CBB audition process.

it's a small moment but the single best instance of "points" was in the middleditch ep when he said he was dating haley joel osment. that was a very good eight seconds

Sean and Hayes, in the Damien Fahey episode, you absolutely skewered society's ridiculous views on "age" and sexual maturity. It was very smart, and I think it belongs in your best of.

You're avatar is from an obscure animated film from the 70's, the name of which I do not knowremember. I only recognize it because it is Madlib's favorite film. Are you a Stones Throw fan? If not, that's cool, and I still think you're cool, I just got excited...

I do like throwing stones, but where I'm from we don't call it Stones Throw, we call it Cornhole.

The avatar is Fantastic Planet, which is fantastic, but maybe a little too scary.

I'll try to post some ones people might not remember, but are also very good.

1. When Sean and hayes do the Year in Fails. I think its the PFT again episode.

"Ferguson...what a fail."

"Oh, yeah, Ryan Lewis...let Macklemore talk!"

2. When Lemon Barnone's spanks come alive and kill the St Claire and the boys.

3. Mary Holland explaining how she sounds when she's horny

4. Jes Macallan doing a Brett impersonation

5. Benny S clips when they kept playing Will smith movie quotes.

6. The very first Tanks but no Tanks.

7. Lamorne Morris talking about his popeyees commercial and having a bump on his *whistle*

8. Dave Thomas zoro stuff.

Oh god, what episode was that? Black rappers have nice things and they think it is cool so I'm very glad Mackingmore is here to say "actually having expensive clothes isn't good, and I don't even want to wear them"
