So thrilled to see them back on the field*.

So weird how invested I now am in this rec league basketball team many many miles away.

Saw Star Wars for the first time in a decade, was horrified to discover it was the Special Edition, was delighted to hear the words "Han Ma'Boogie"

New game yesterday! Poor Matt, someone needs to start sending these guys some food, because it seems that he only eats cookies when available in the Pistol Shrimps games.

But don't send food to the PO box with Matt's name on the package or it'll never come out. I think. Was that the message of Mark's story?

Is there really a message?

What does any of it mean?

What's going on with the office mattress?

Dire Straits.

"When do I get my treat?"

Between Matt's hunger, Mark's lack of sleep, and Jensen being high on prescription pharmaceuticals, delirium has been a running theme.

The latest episode was fantastic, what with the (gummi) kids and Jesse Thomas apparently destroying the opposition. 3 and 0! Shramps!

Here was my attempt at a recap.

Pistol Shrimps Radio 10/06/15

The Pistol Shrimps took on the Shecago Bulls at Pan-Pacific Auditorium.

Both guys had a salad before the game and Matt admits he also had two gin and tonics.

Mark's play-by-play is quick and Matt's color commentary is vivid, until the guys get distracted by the pounds of candy, sent as gifts.

Final Score: Shrimps 40 - Bulls 26

Jensen Karp with the Halftime Sock Report and a bottle full of pills!

The guys committed an arena 'faux pas' by speaking the unlucky name of Score-keeper Jill who died keepin' score. Her finger bled out and her nose kicked herself. (Memphis, TN 1971)

New episode with Mark and special guest PFT is up - the sound quality is a bit dodgy, but you can pretend its coming from outer space ghosts:

Also, there's this crazy thing, a supercut of every Referee's name:

Ah well, still made for great non-radio radio.

This is the X-Mas video Matt Gourley mentioned. Lovely schmaltzy easy listening versions of Christmas tunes set to one of the most enigmatic wordless film stories ever captured on film. Hypnotic and mysterious.

Are they still opening gifts? It got hard to listen to at one point and I eventually stopped. I used to love it!

Things did slow down a bit given the sheer volume of crazy gifts they got in the mail - but I'd probably willingly listen to Matt and Mark do their taxes. The late season games got a bit more heat to them and the guys got more focused on their play-by-play.
