wejo 0 Posted March 2, 2012 I'm a regular guest on A Fistful of Pixels. Originally, the idea was to take randomly generated phrase and improvise a video game scenario around it. The show now uses listener submitted phrases in lieu of random ones. http://afistfulofpixels.podomatic.com/ We're also on iTunes. Share this post Link to post
janus1172 11 Posted March 4, 2012 So we started something new on our podcast, which I don't think has been done before. Our last segment involves some games and if the guest wins we'll donate a small amount to their charity of choice. It's a way to make the points matter, which most games on podcasts don't. It also goes along with our theme of telling stories about causing trouble, so this is our way of giving a tiny amount back for the shit we've done. 1 Share this post Link to post
most deaf 6 Posted March 5, 2012 I have a game show podcast "Dream Tweet." TV's Frank Conniff heckles Erin Foley in a shameless fight to the finish. For the first time in "Dream Tweet" history, the contestants got totallly stumped. It's something for the record books. In fact we are recording it in the books next week. This is a notable nugget in not knowing. http://dreamtweet.libsyn.com/webpage...the-stump-card Share this post Link to post
ChaseRoper 64 Posted March 7, 2012 I guess this is as good of a place as any to say that I think my own podcast about being a stay at home dad is fantastic. Well, mediocre anyways. I talked to John Ross Bowie recently. So, there's that. whatever. http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-stay-at-home-dadcast/id455835201 Share this post Link to post
tim atkin 17 Posted March 8, 2012 not necessairily a unique concept, but a funny show. Its called "Humor Lazer Beam" and its on Itunes and podomatic.com. We interview famous comedians and authors, do skits and have random talk. Plus our title is a playful homage to the first and greatest thing on earwolf. check it out! Share this post Link to post
most deaf 6 Posted March 15, 2012 It's a game show where you have to guess the who wrote the tweet. For example - Who wrote this made up Dream Tweet - "I'm going to punch the next person who calls me 'McLovin'.'" Listen to the show.... http://ow.ly/9FNNA Share this post Link to post
geneparmesan 20 Posted March 30, 2012 Last year I started a podcast that uses astrology as a context for interviewing my guests. You don't need to believe in it at all to enjoy it, and in fact many of the guests are total non-believers. I think it's led to some really deep and revealing conversations. Michael Cera, Paul F. Tompkins (two-parter), Jen Kirkman, Jamie Denbo, Jon Wurster, Julie Klausner, Maria Thayer, Ben Lee and others have been on. http://itunes.apple.com/podcast/saturn-scene/id408503665 Share this post Link to post

most deaf 6 Posted May 9, 2012 Robert "Morty" Morton talks about "The Late Shift" which is based on his time during the Letterman/Leno feuds. Morty gives us insight to what it was like to be on the front lines of the back stabbing of the late night wars. Morty tells a great story Leno hiding in the Improv bathroom to hear what fans have to say about him. http://proudlyresents.com/lateshift/ Share this post Link to post

Hobo Grammar 27 Posted May 31, 2012 Here's an idea... have a couple of funny people listen to soundbites from various media (shortwave radio, youtube, public access shows) and have them improvise weird and hilarious scenes. It's called 30000 Kilohertz of Sound http://www.30000khz.com http://itunes.apple....st?id=299700719 Share this post Link to post

ChaseRoper 64 Posted June 7, 2012 The other day I was on Youtube and saw these ridiculous "relaxation" videos where a person whispers the whole time. Here's a clip of some chick tapping on a mirror while she whispers. I want to do a short run podcast series where it's only whispering. It will be called "Shhhh!" 1 Share this post Link to post
Daniel Lee 8 Posted July 3, 2012 I just published the pilot of a monthly comedy podcast called Classy Nonsense. Every episode I will try to make a whole new podcast not just a new episode. The pilot is just basically highly edited riffing based on that idea. I don't have a my radio voice yet so this is also a pilot of my stage presence, and any type of ability to talk, or interact with the world around me. But, I am getting pretty good at smashing stuff. http://classynonsense.blogspot.com/ http://classynonsense.libsyn.com Share this post Link to post
John Basketball 0 Posted July 4, 2012 Me and my writting partner have a podcast called The Chomps The Cat Food Call In Show. The humor is absurd, Chomps talks to food and celebrities about whatever is on their mind. Some shows consist of a cat talking to a lemon about how it hates being a garnish or a mountain lion calls in while its sneaking into wimbelton. The calls in improvised by up and coming comedians and improvisers all over the country. Its a very unique concept that is a lot of fun to do. Here's the Itunes link. The Chomps The Cat Food Call In Show We also have a web seris and make funny movies. Click BANG! Productions. Share this post Link to post
Dan Weber 0 Posted September 11, 2012 I have a podcast where I read the bible and make fun of it as I go. It has the super creative name Reading The Bible With Dan. Sort of a primer on why the bible is an atheist's best friend. Only up to chapter 24 of Genesis so far. Libsyn webpage: http://readingthebiblewithdan.libsyn.com/webpage iTunes Link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/reading-the-bible-with-dan/id555635803 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ReadingTheBibleWithDan I looked around and couldn't find anything else quite like it. spriest 0 Posted October 24, 2012 Podcastaways is a weekly podcast I do with 2 other chicago comics/improvisers where we pretend to be stuck on a deserted island and want to be rescued. We play some wave sounds in the background and every now and then an island animal will come up and talk to us. It's pretty dumb/great. Check it out if you want! http://podcastaways.libsyn.com for direct download and streaming itunes LINK facebook.com/podcastaways for facebook page Share this post Link to post

GregJ.Hansen 316 Posted January 12, 2013 I'd love a 'cast where every episode, the host and guest talk about things they secretly geek out on, such as for example I know Robin Williams is a fan of both the Legend of Zelda games and the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. I'd love to hear a focused exploration of notable folks's inner fanboys (and girls), but damned if I have any idea about how to get the ball rolling on something like that. Does something like this exist already and I'm just missing out? Share this post Link to post
ErikH2000 4 Posted January 12, 2013 Sketch comedy about sentient machines judging the actions of humans in a post-Singularity world. The people being judged by the machines are real people being interviewed to answer silly ethical questions. The machine's dialogue is written and edited around the interview questions. It's not done yet. I'm working on it. Anyone want to help? I need people to record answers to questions. Share this post Link to post
