HDTGM Classics Vol 8 4/13 9PM EST Movie MAC & Me

Hey all, I think we’ve talked about this before, but...the next movie on the docket is Sucker Punch. Personally, I have no interest in watching it at all. However, if you guys vote to watch it, that’s cool. I’ll just give it a pass. So let me know.

 

If we skip Sucker Punch, the next movie would be Fast Five, which...I might suggest we skip as well. Again, I’ll leave it up to you guys. It’s not that I’d refuse to watch it, but I feel like it is - more or less - a decent movie. I’m not sure if watching it would be as fun as watching a train wreck.

 

In my opinion, I think it might be fun to skip right to Mac and Me. But, of course, majority rules. I’ll watch whatever (except for Sucker Punch)

I mean if that is the majority vote I'll still watch it cause it is kinda bothering me that I've finished other terrible movies and not that one, and the completest in me is not at all happy that I'm missing one gd movie in my watching record.

I almost certainly can't join you, but as a democratically elected member of the HDTGM Senate (currently completing my life term as DemiChancellor), I cast my vote for 'Mac and Me'. I mean, 'Mac and Me' is unquestionably perhaps the worst thing ever created, but at least it's earnest and kind of fun. People were really trying super hard to make it, which is why its awfulness is so awesome. 'Sucker Punch' is cynical and rapey. Boo to that one. Boo, I say.

Sucker Punch really is one of the worst. Not only is it completely misogynist, but Zack Snyder (and fans of Sucker Punch) have tried to argue it's feminist. So, I just imagine all the comments would be "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" repeated for two hours.

 

I'm personally kind of glad I won't be able to make the Mac and Me get together. I tried to watch it once and couldn't do it. I saw clips of an ET ripoff porn once (I want it to be known, I didn't search this out) that made me want to die; Mac and Me looked close enough that it literally nauseated me.

Oh lord y'all I just realized I'm a fat ass liar. According to reviews I never finished Independence Day: Resurgence, The Christmas Prince, and I only saw the last 45 minutes of The Gallows and I have no desire to watch anymore of any of them.

 

I would actually rather watch Sucker Punch than any of those and I really don't want to watch Sucker Punch.
