fenster77 17 Posted January 12, 2012 I've yet to post on the EW forums, but I just had to share this. I'm watching California's Gold for the first time ever. Huell Howser and a guide from Golden Gate Park are visiting one of the two Dutch windmills. After about 2-3 minutes discussing how the windmills actually used to provide all the water for the park, Huell poses the question: "Now, did those blades used to ACTUALLY TURN????" A few minutes later, inside the windmill... "Now, I heard you just say 'vanes'....you don't kawl them BLADES???" Wow. I always assumed James A. was exaggerating quite a bit. He's not.
