  1. Conan made many valid points at the end about doing podcasts in studio. I hope you guys continue to do more of these. Live ones are great but these ones are special for all the reasons you guys stated.
  2. Great episode, it's good to hear Kevin get some jabs in at Kamau. Watched Philadelphia after this and I forgot how funny Denzel is in it, when he hand's Dr. J his card I was cracking up! Denzel is perfect as the sleazy lawyer with a heart of gold. Check out the deleted scenes for more great Denzel scenes. You can't help but love him. I also love when they bring on a person with a personal connection to the political aspects of a film, Nico was awesome. It was hilarious that he barely knew any Denzel movies. It speaks to how wide ranging he is though, he's had such a large body of work that he can get people who like romantic movies (Preacher's wife), he can get the action fans (Equalizer, the Tony Scott films), he can get the cinephiles (Mississippi Masala, Malcolm X). Good ass movie man!

    Monster Trucks (2017)

This movie looks pretty strange. Let's run down the HDTGM criteria: 1.Hugely expensive (reportedly $120 mil.) 2.Horrendously terrifying monster that's supposed to be cute and lovable. 3.Bizarre, insanely convoluted plot that appeals to know one. 4.Weirdly sexual scenes (monster squirts in teen boy's face, pile of slimy tentacle monsters squirm all over each other on the floor). 5.Bland, yet hunky male lead. 6.80's teen superstar (Rob Lowe). We might have a real next level bonkers pile of steaming trash on our hands. Lets make June, Paul and Jason see it so we don't have to! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnX-ZFM1UD4
  4. Since Mr. Bell brought it up again, here's the man himself talking to Tavis Smiley about the Oscar controversy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29idA-W_2bk

    Trespass (1992)

When I saw HDTGM was doing Trespass I became incredably excited, when I read the description I was a little disapointed. The episode was great but I was hoping it was going to be about the other Tresspass. The one that came out it '92 and starred Ice Cube, Ice T, William Sadler, and Bill Paxton and was dirceted by none other than Walter Hill of The Warriors and Red Heat fame. Here's the IMDB summery: Two Arkansas firemen, Vince and Don, get hold of a map that leads to a cache of stolen gold in an abandoned factory in East St. Louis. What they don't know is that the factory is in the turf of a local gang, who come by to execute one of their enemies. Vince sees the shooting, the gang spots Vince, and extended mayhem ensues. As Vince and Don try to escape, gang leader King James argues with his subordinate Savon about how to get rid of the trespassers. So basically this movie is the ices (T & Cube) chasing Sadler, in his best hard ass mode, and Paxton, in his best "Aw geez man, they're going to fuckin' kill us man!" freak out mode. There is lots of excellent signature Walter Hill action. On top of that you have an unlimited supply of exessive acting by just about every person in this movie. A total classic. Here's the Trailer: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi3103719705/ Here's the theme song preformed by T and Cube:

    Masked and Anonymous

This is the IMDB synopsis: A singer, whose career has gone on a downward spiral, is forced to make a comeback to the performance stage for a benefit concert. ...and this is the trailer I have not seen this movie but it seem beyond bonkers, or incredibly boring, or both!

    Episode 29 — Trespass

I think it should be said that the reason this movie only made $24,000 is that it only opend in 10 theaters in the America. I think someone at the studio must have smelled a flop and were afraid to give it a wide release, or there was some bad blood and the studio just dumped this into theaters out of a contratual agreement.

    Face/Off

I'm guessing this must have been recommended already, but let me just reiterate, this movie sucks in the best way possible. In the first part of the film we have some classic Cage scene chewing, the Cage and Travolta seamlessly switch faces for some stupid reason, even though Travolta is a good 50 pounds heavier and has a head twice as big as Cage's. Then we have Travolta doing his impression of classic Cage scene chewing. Add in a futuristic super-max prison on an oil rig, enough slow motion for an entire season of MythBusters, and some creepy pseudo-incest and you have the aptly titled Face Off.
