Oh Say Can You See the Glitter in the Garbage? Drew and his friends Roy and Jordan celebrate Presidents' Day with a tribute to an American hero, President Ronald Reagan. Join us on this trip through American history: From loud-and-proud racists to more subtle, liberal racists. From the American legacy of antiquing to the American tendency to like something just because it's 'artistic.' So pick up something nice from the Macaroni Grill, pause Black Swan, and chow down on Glitter in the Garbage!

This week on Glitter in the Garbage, we offer to you a step-by-step plan to get you out of your trailer park and into Hollywood! Step one: See a hypnotist, or at least call one. Step two: Take a stand-up comedy class (especially if you're a lady). Step three: Do some yoga, eat some mung beans, say some terrible things about the people you know. Step four: Move to Los Feliz and join the comedy duplex with Drew, Melinda, and Taylor. Now wasn't that easy?

Ah, Los Angeles in February, can't you just taste the Glitter in the Garbage? With Oscar nominations out you can see all the Angelinos in their native habitat, be it discussing their plastic surgery, protecting their neighborhoods from invaders, ruing their thoughtless parents, or being rued by their own children. Drew, Brian, and Bryan make their opinions of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards very clear, and we want to know what YOU think of the movies nominated. Leave your comments about Annette Bening, The Social Network, child actors and anything else at Earwolf.

What do video stores and the Manson Family have in common? If you're Drew Droege, more than you can imagine! He recounts his VHS nostalgia this week with the help of guests Melanie and Jackie. They discuss the Mark Twain controversy, give us some great snack ideas courtesy of Food Network, and usher in the return of 'The Actor's Little Corner.' Our audio engineer is out for the week, but hopefully all the false starts and yelling fits were edited out! Be sure to let us know in the comment section at Earwolf!

Ding Ding Ding! It's a new week on Glitter in the Garbage and time to talk about glory holes and My Strange Addiction! Drew shares memories of his late friend James, and brings in his friends Beth and J.C. to talk about the empowering programming of TLC. In the meantime: Learn about tablescaping, pageant parents, what it takes to be a young comedian, and how YOU can learn all of Criss Angel's most famous tricks! Now eat some toilet paper, watch some Baxter Birney, and join us next week on Glitter in the Garbage!

If your New Year's resolution is to enjoy more fabulous sketch comedy, you've come to the right place! Drew and friends Mikey and Amy grant us insight into directory assistance operators, focus groups drama queens, new age friendships and more! Learn Drew's resolutions, and get to know Mikey and Amy through their past drug experiences and television habits. Be sure to comment and let us know what YOUR resolutions are, and join us next week on Glitter in the Garbage!

If you look past the candy wrappers, gift wrap, and greeting cards, you can still see the glitter in the garbage! We bring you some post-Christmas catharsis from Drew and his friends Stephanie, Ron, and Sam. Hear how Spice World and a place called 'The Butterfly House' changed Drew's life before we head into the conversations of traveling strangers and teachers at a lunch room. Listeners will get some free therapy by proxy, and hear an exclusive one-of-a-kind reunion of The Facts of Life cast! We hope your New Year's plans involve drinks, drugs, and of course, glitter.

'...The glitter was hung by the garbage with care in hopes that St Drew Droege soon would be there!' This week, Drew gets festive with his friends Michaela, Colleen, and Edi as they celebrate everything abhorrent about spending time with family. We learn about Drew's traumatic educational experiences, as well as the traumatic experiences of a poor robbed restaurateur dealing with the gayest detectives on the force. It gets a wee bit voyeuristic as we journey into the lives of some of Utah's finest sister wives, as well as prescient as we look into the future with Mystic Visions. Merry Christmas!

We're back for week number two, this time with Mike Rose and Pete Zias! Drew explains for us why he feels the way he does about Maya Angelou, and Mike and Pete contribute stories about meeting their heroes (or at least reality television stars). We get to listen to a meaningful conversation between three similarly named friends, and learn a valuable lesson about gift appropriateness during Community Beat with Dwight Sim. Come visit us again next week: That is, if you don't have to leave the country with any sort of political figure.

Welcome darlings to the first ever episode of Glitter in the Garbage with Drew Droege. This is your spot online for old school Hollywood glamour and pop culture rejects! In this first episode, Drew explores ABC's 'The Middle' and it's disgusting lead Patricia Heaton before having on some of his famous friends. Karen Black, Glenn Close, and Margot Kidder all chat in 'The Actor's Little Corner' about their careers, ageism in Hollywood, and elephant dentures. Ariana Huffington tries out a bit of stand-up for Drew, and Heidi Klum tells us about her upcoming musical career and how she stays so fit. To keep the class up, Maya Angelou comes by with a beautiful poem about the glorious wintertime. Thanks for stopping by, and come back soon!

Cut the chit-chat, it's time for Sklarbro Country! Comedic philanthropist and card collector Bill Burr gives us respite from the athletically apathetic guests who often visit the calming shores. If you're having trouble keeping your pet calm, Bill has some excellent third-hand advice from The Dog Whisperer. All you Sklardinals are in for a special musical treat from a Sklarbro Country favrizzle. Visit Legalzoom, but please don't use it as an excuse to kick down a girlfriend's door or steal from a locker room! Keep the mascot drawings coming!

What's Up Hot Dogs? This week we have Scott Aukerman from Comedy Bang Bang: The Podcast as a guest and you won't be able to tamp him down! Scott tells us his personal highlights from the 100 episodes of his podcast, and regales us with tales from his storied career as a Dodgers batboy. Racist Vin Scully joins us once again, and once again manages to offend and disorient with each statement. If you like games, this week we have Things Jose Canseco Will Never Say, Who Is Crazier, and our newest game Where'd You Get Your Car Washed. Visit Legalzoom for affordable online legal documents (no, they will NOT update your car tags for you), send in your drawings of the Sklarbro Country mascot, and most importantly punch a waterfall!

Howard Kremer is the guest on this week's Sklarbro Country, and you'll love it more than Mohammed Al-Fayed loves Michael Jackson. Howard has all the qualifications for a Sklarbro citizen: He loves sports, he's an awesome rapper, and he has wicked Muppet slams for when you get out of line! Bruce Jenner joins us once again to talk about his new book and show off some of the forms of therapy that seem to be working for him (if only they would work for Dominique Wilkins). Don't forget to visit Legalzoom for all your legal woes, though I doubt they could help you out with liquor theft, or tennis-related child endangerment cases.

Folks, it's true: This whole time, Randy Sklar has been impersonating his brother Jason, and vice versa. Will you forgive us if we give you an awesome Sklarbro Country with Jimmy Pardo and Tiger Woods? We thought so! Jimmy brings his sharp wit and famous blurt laugh to the calming shores to talk to us about the only sport that matters, Fantasy Baseball. He opens up about his podcast Never Not Funny and Tiger Woods opens up about his romantic status. It isn't too late to get your tickets to see The Sklars in Denver this weekend, and as always go to Legal Zoom to create a will, form an LLC, or sue Steven Seagal for wrongfully entering your house with a SWAT team.

Okay, so like no offense, but there are like these hoards of Hendersons roaming around the internet. And it's like, if you're going to listen to Sklarbro Country, use some manners! It's like every five minutes, I'll be deep into listening to Jerry Jones giving inside knowledge about football when all of the sudden I see Kumail Nanjiani playing video games and bringing his positive attitude to the stage! Are you freaking kidding me? Being the nice Earwolf that The Sklars raised me to be, I kind of just kept reading about LeBron Jordan shoes and what a douchebaguette Cappie Pondexter is. I mean, I know, okay that sounds horrible, but if you're going to listen to a podcast about sports, music, and comedy at least make it Sklarbro Country!
-
We've got Josh Radnor and Jesse Thorn on this week's Sklarbro Country, and we 'Can't Wait' to share it with you! We tackle some tough questions; How can we solve the crisis in the middle east, what should you do if you see an injured owl, and what amount must a charitable donation be for one to get away with being an asshole? Jesse once again offers up his expertise with an exclusive on the Fantasy Debutante league, and Josh assures us that he's staying out of Charlie Sheen-level trouble. Please visit Legal Zoom, but be sure to clear your history so your bosses don't catch you saving so much money!

Turn off the Nickelback, put on your most aerodynamic slippers, and make your way down to the calming shores of Sklarbro Country. Randy and Jason welcome fellow podcasting duo Dave Anthony and Greg Behrendt of Walking the Room to the show this week, along with new twitterer Charlie Sheen. Dave talks Chelsea Football with the boys and Greg tells the shocking tale of how the perfectly primped guitar-geek we all know and love used to play rugby of all things. Charlie Sheen makes a stop on his bizarre press tour to explain....winning? Money? Jews? Chicago Cubs? Something along those lines. Please visit Legal Zoom, and listen for our NEW discount code!

No folks, you Sklaren't having deja vu: Patton Oswalt joins us YET AGAIN this week on Sklarbro Country! And even if you're as big a nerd as Patton is, if you follow his logic you too can enjoy the calming shores of Sklarbro Country. Patton shows off his acting chops by presenting a series of passages from Monday Night Jihad by Jason Elam, and pitches some of his movie ideas to fellow returning guest Owen Wilson. So crack open an Erdinger, soak in a tub full of Sklar, read up on yourHenderson trivia, and enjoy your time in Sklarbro Country. And if you're dealing with any legal disputes, say herbicide or a fixed hockey contest, head over to Legal Zoom!

Henderson Nation, we have some advice for you: Don't do crack, drink chocolate milk, and listen to Sklarbro Country. That's all we got...oh wait, no it isn't! We 'got' a great episode with Dana Gould and Jesse 'The Body' Ventura! Dana explains what it's like to grow up in a house full of athletes, and tells us about the wrestling sensation Lucha VaVoom. Apparently Jesse Ventura bought our Sklarbro Country Live recording and wasn't too pleased with what we said about him. If that's not enough, we have our FIRST EVER Nascar story, plus an exquisite Steve Garvey video that will make you seen ninjas in a whole new light. Don't forget to stop by Legal Zoom to protect your legality lest Elijah Wood turn you in.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great pride we announce that Jon Bon Jovi now owns Sklarbro Country! Well, at least he's trying to buy it, and with a show this great how can you blame him? Rich Fulcher of The Mighty Boosh and Snuff Box explains how he became a non-Brittish Brittish superstar and makes it very clear how he feels about cricket. Jerry Jones makes his first post-Super Bowl appearance to discuss the seating controversy and what he's going to do for all the disenfranchised fans. Now, while you go pick up Sklarbro Country LIVE from our store, we're off to trademark 'moose knuckle' at Legal Zoom.

It's time to take a break from your Super Bowl party planning and relax on the calming shores of Sklarbro Country! If you're a fan of Childrens Hospital (who isn't?), you'll love this week's appearance by Rob Corddry, who lets us in on some juicy news about the third season of the show. Find out what Rob has in common with Everson Griffen, and what Gerald Dixon has in common with Gerald Dixon. If you have any last minute confusion about the Super Bowl, Eddie Pepitone will certainly clear it up for you. And if you're worried about the Yamaguchi-gumi family finding you, go to Legal Zoom for a great deal on a will! Also, read Christine E. Taylor's glowing review of Sklabro Country LIVE.
-
If you're going to get nerdy about sports, you must invite the boys of Nerdist! Matt Mira and Chris Hardwick step away from their Doctor Who dvds and Wired magazines to bring their unique perspective on Boston and bowling. We get a little inside baseball about the world of podcasting, and Chris answers the all important question: What happens to those oversized novelty checks athletes get? Tiger Woods stops by to weigh in on the 'Tiger Mother' scandal, and to try out some jokes for the first time. Get tickets while you still can for this Sunday's LIVE Sklarbro Country and possible bear roast, and get legal with it over at Legalzoom.

If you're not a fan of Dave Koechner yet, you will be after this episode of Sklarbro Country. Dave talks very sincerely (yet still hilariously) about fatherhood, building a rapport with Will Ferrell, and the importance of loving one's self. Resident Fantasy Expert Jesse Thorn makes his second appearance to talk Rococo, Baroque, and of course, Victorian furniture. Be sure to see Sklarbro Country LIVE at SF Sketchfest where our mascot may or may not be giving lap dances. Take time to visit our new sponsor Legal Zoom. Lastly, visit Earwolf to hear some bonus material from before we started recording. Zoom!
-
Who wants to watch Mike Tyson race pigeons when you can listen to Sklarbro Country? Randy and Jason welcome Kyle Brandt (from The Real World) and Jason Stewart (from Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss) to talk about working on The Jim Rome Show. They air out their listener grievances, attest to the accuracy of Big Fan, and help us make the connection between LeBron James and Bob Dylan. The golden voice himself Ted Williams joins The Sklars to discuss the ways he (and his beautiful girlfriend Leighton Meester) have been blessed. And while we don't have naked pictures of Steffi Graf for you, we DO have tickets to Sklarbro Country LIVE at SF Sketchfest, and the chance to win an iPad over at Prediculous!
-
It's time for the Sklarbro Country Year in Review episode! Randy and Jason talk through the biggest events...of 2011. Then they go back and look at 2010 with the help of Jerry Jones, Tiger Woods, Racist Vin Scully, Snoop Dogg, Sam Elliot, and Owen Wilson! Plus an update on the Bruce Jenner saga, and some very important news from the world of darts. Be sure to see Sklarbro Country LIVE at SF Sketchfest, and join Prediculous while you've still got a chance! If you have a second, check out the video of a Sklardinal attracted to the dulcet tones of Randy and Jason.
