Welcome back to the hatch Blasternauts! Today the gang talks about the documentary that’s being made about Tig and they follow that with some serious “she who” riffing. Then the delightful Baron Vaughn comes to the studio and talks about what it means to be polyamorous. It gets provocative. Is it possible to love more than one person? How do you keep from getting jealous? And how do you explain it to the your potential partner? It’s tough to convince people either way but it makes for fascinating conversation. Tune in!

Recorded live in San Francisco it’s Star Wars nirvana on today’s Professor Blastoff! The hosts start by discussing their tour of Skywalker Ranch which included pizza, cake, and an epic shirtless hill climbing competition. Star Wars expert Pablo Hidalgo then joins the gang and answers all their deepest questions about Star Wars including; R2D2’S gender, the nature of the force, and whether Han shot first!!!!! It ends with Pablo revealing intriguing details about the great film series during a game of “What’s Nuts?”!

Recorded live at the San Francisco Sketchfest it’s a rambunctious conversation between the hosts and their Blastronauts on today’s Professor Blastoff! The conversation is free flowing and probing; Tig and Kyle reveal the nature of their relationship, Kyle reveals his skinny calfs, and they all do a good round of fake laughing. The final word is also given on proper parenting, the evil in candy consumerism, and pterodactyls. How much deeper can the audience probe? Tune in and find out.

Kyle calls in from New York where he’s working and also trying to sell the bunk beds he shares with Tig. They talk to Tig about her experiences at Sundance, working on Lake Bell’s feature film, and some great compliments she got from the Salt Lake City press. They also tackle the unknowable by trying to figure out what Mel Gibson is screaming in Braveheart. That segues into a conversation about the nature of freedom and whether you need to be pushed to your human limits to truly experience it.

On the Line is a tale as old as time, the love story of Turkey Sub and Hubcap. What happens when boy banders try their hand at acting? Bizarre sound effects, terrible musical performances, and lots and lots of chewing noises. Ike Barinholtz joins us to discuss a movie so shamefully bad that even its most ardent supporters hide themselves with nom de plumes. The one and only Janeane Garofalo joins Tig, Kyle, David, and Aaron to discuss the moon landing, why she disconnected from the internet in 2004, the theories surrounding 9/11, the Flat Earth Society, and the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Janeane also shares how Paula Poundstone inspired her, being grateful for the spade of luck & opportunity she has had in her career, and the many tangents of the lovable Dave Hill. We’re back in the hatch for a chat about Mayans. Tig, David, Kyle (via internet magic), and Aaron share their thoughts on the predictions of the end of the world, describe the Mayan calendar (with the power of Wikipedia), and swap stories of exploring the wilderness in their youth. Plus, Kyle plays us a Christmas song he’s been working on and Tig tells us about her past infatuation of hieroglyphics!

Every one also shares stories of stealing as children, wetting the bed, and perform a scene from bare: The Musical! Honestly, this episode is nothing short of extraordinary!

David and Aaron reunite with Tig and Kyle in the East Coast hatch and welcome expert voter Wyatt Cenac for a discussion about elections! After a whisper meeting they talk about what the steps are to getting elected, the importance of debates today, and how personality is a major part of the presidency. Also, Abraham Lincoln, Elmo, and Bill Cosby stop by to weigh in on some debate topics!

It’s more money, more problems on this week’s Professor Blastoff! We are joined by a professional money person, CPA Richard Bowen to discuss the definition of wealth. Richard shares tips on how to avoid debt, talks about the dumb things people do with their money, how the most valuable thing we have is time, why credit scores are a joke, and the Indian food crisis. We also explore the idea of what we’ll do with an unlimited amount of money.

With the Spring 2012 semester coming to a close, we are contractually obligated to have our 15 year-old intern Marissa Wompler visit. I cannot reiterate how much this is not our choice, especially now that she's accompanied by her faculty mentor Miss Listler. We try to make the best of it with the return of Jukebox Jury and a game of What Am I Thinking?, but try as we might we can't seem to pry Marissa away from her constant need to yell and discuss her changing body. Once again, our apologies.

Did you know that Jimmy Pardo voted for Sarah Palin? Well, just make sure you don't tell Sarah, it would crush her! Also, did you know that someone is capable of being offended by the super funny Rory Scovel? Well, you can hear just how he did it this week on Comedy Bang Bang.

As the great Madonna once sang, "Music makes the people come together." That is certainly the case this week as improvisational musical comedian Reggie Watts travels into the hatch to test his vocal range, and test his friendships with the Blastoff crew. There is some sweet jamming, a teaser of Kyle and Reggie's new cover album, and of course, the flute part! Plus, the forgotten tale of civil rights leader Huba Tubeman. Randy and Jason are out on the road so it's time to call in the 12th man...and the 13th man...and the 14th woman. Matt Besser, Howard Kremer, and Danielle Schneider are slapping some paint on their faces and getting in the gridiron! First some basic drills with the Hank Williams Jr fiasco, the intrinsic hypocrisy of Fantasy Football, and the NBA lockout, but then the real game begins: Explaining football terminology to Danielle (as a surrogate for our other non-sports fan listeners).
