  1. Alert Blastronauts! In this live episode Kyle sings and plays an excerpt from a song he wrote for a high school crush and Tig plays the drums with her hands. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Guest and musician, Trevor Anderson, comes on and explains the science behind music and the reasons we love it. Plus Chicago accents, breaking down song lyrics, and the legend of the ninth symphony. Then a game of "What's Nuts" that happens while Tig and Kyle bang, a music based Q and A with the audience that turns into an explanation of everything, and a great round of "Name That Punky". Enjoy. It's a special one! Recorded by Asim Ali at The Abbey Chicago.
  2. On the final episode of Seth Godin’s Startup School we learn the importance of being distinct and direct. Seth explains why people at the top get hurt last, why e-mail is the best direct connection to your customers, and why it’s important to have your own distinct voice. Seth shares a technique to get an appointment with impossible to reach top decision makers, discusses why it’s better to act like you don’t have money now, and tells us why he’d rather spend 4 years writing a blog before writing a book in order to build an audience. He also talks about how not to get sued, giving people a souvenir to remember you by, and the rules on naming your company.

  5. Welcome back to the hatch blastronauts! Kyle tells an odyssean story of trying to get a video game while high and then it's the return of Punky Brewster with a few stirring rounds of "Name That Punky". Then they discuss character with guest Al Madrigal. Al talks about his past career in human resources and how the experience of firing people affected his perception of people and honesty. Character's tough to pin down but they figure it out with probing questions including; how does one define it, what indicators can reveal it, and is it possible to pee on your friend's couch and still retain it? Then notorious good person, Donald Trump, calls in and clarifies what real character is.
  6. Conan O’Brien and Jeff have been pals since their days of rooming together in Chicago. Conan shares memories of being woken up by Jeff at 2 am to do something that amused him earlier that day, hosting a talk show called “Wild Blue Yonder” as George Takei in their living room, and intentionally being a terrible improviser while he performed as Spooneye the Pirate during The Happy Happy Good Show. He also tells us when it’s apparent that guests on his show haven’t been out of their bubble, how chasing the perfect show helps him to keep going, and the time he invited John Candy to the Harvard Lampoon.
  7. Enjoy your Thanksgiving with a helping of improv from Matt Walsh, Lauren Lapkus, and Sean Conroy! They join Matt Besser to light shit on fire, get fined in smiles, and enjoy some pussy snacks. 9. Harris Wittels and Scott Aukerman are back to catch up on Harris’ recent Phish experience and to pass the figurative torch. Paul F. Tompkins and Howard Kremer are comedians who love the 1975 classic film Jaws. Paul & Howard have decided to introduce Jaws to Shelby Fero, who has not seen the film but has absorbed aspects of the film through pop culture. We’ll learn how much Shelby knows about Jaws, which classic films she has seen, and why her fear of jellyfish is higher than her fear of sharks. Will Shelby love Jaws as much as Paul and Howard? You’ll have to listen to find out!
  10. Todd Glass might be the most seriously funny person. And by that I mean even when he's talking about his dog dying or asking for Twitter advice, it's hilarious. Hannibal Buress drops some bon mots, and Sarah Silverman is fortunate enough to be in studio for the SECOND Comedy Bang Bang Celebrity Interview, this time with Prince.

We get the best of both worlds this week as Scott and Jason are joined by Chip Gardner, former television personality and (hopefully) future Honorary Mayor of Hollywood. 16. This week we bring you How Did This Get Made? LIVE from Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles! 20. To all the listeners who have requested Tim Heidecker: We hope you're happy. Tim makes his inaugural appearance to talk about...his music? His show? The music on his show? We're still not sure. Neil Hamburger stops by to set his finances straight and get the word out about his new iPhone app (which has nothing to do with Mountain Dew) before joining the somewhat-agreeable Tim in a game of Dead or Alive. I don't want to tip off the biggest surprise of the episode, but prepare yourself to hear some classic songs of yesteryear in a whole new light. If you'd like to book Tim or one of his multiple musical projects contact P.D.A. out of Little Rock, or just go to his Tumblr.
