This was instantly the first thing I thought of. If anyone tells me they watched that and then didn't jump up, run around the room and then punch a hole in the wall, I'll tell them I don't believe it! -

I missed that thread; thanks for that. That is very reassuring. -

Does anyone else feel like the oral history stuff is starting to take over? Like, they're choosing which movies to do based more on who they can get to talk about them than how crazy or bad they are? I literally don't want to listen to How Did This Get Made to hear how these movies got made! -

I took that more as she had all this knowledge but this was the first time she was putting it into practice and was a little unsure about herself. Then by the time she was dancing for the three snakes she had it down pat! -

This movie was too goodbad, it deserved guests talking about it that had actually watched it. Not ones that zoned out at minute 1 and just skimmed the Wikipedia page on it. -

Also, if anyone's looking for some fun stuff on the Holiday Special til HDTGM one is up, Red Letter Media did a great review show for it last Christmas. This is part 2, if you like them I recommend watching part 1 first. It's mostly just a hilarious preamble, with the actual review in this video. -

Whatever happened to the idea of posting the pilot podcast with Scott Aukerman? Seems like this would've been a good time for it and keep the friday releases on track. -

Instead of would Nic Cage be better, they ought to start a Would Pretzy be better in this movie. -

The amount of cocaine flowing through Cannon films in the 80's must have made Stephen King's cocaine use on Maximum Overdrive look like a grain of salt. -

Coincidentally? Haley's Comet also showed up in 1986, when this movie came out, and all that 1910 scare stuff was pretty big in the news. All I remember is I never even saw it anywhere in the sky. -

Just to tie things into Monkey Shines a little, like the brick falling and shattering to represent his body, I'm sure the watermelons were supposed to be stand-ins for people flying all over and getting gooshed. The watermelons are NOT machines killing people. -

Marla Maples as the screaming woman in the opening. That's got to be the oddest role of someone that was modestly well known later I've ever seen. I forgot about Joe Bob being on TNT but I used to love watching his show when he was on The Movie Channel.
